Iran Vows to Hit Any Country That Stages an Attack

AP

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran will target any country where an attack against it is staged, a senior Guard commander warned Sunday, the latest Iranian threat tied to growing tensions over its nuclear program and Western sanctions.

Gen. Hossein Salami, deputy commander of the elite Revolutionary Guard, Iran’s most powerful military force, did not elaborate. His comments appeared to be a warning to Iran’s neighbors not to let their territory or airspace be used as a base for an attack.

“Any place where enemy offensive operations against the Islamic Republic of Iran originate will be the target of a reciprocal attack by the Guard’s fighting units,” the semiofficial Fars news agency quoted Salami as saying.

The Revolutionary Guard started maneuvers in the country’s south on Saturday, following naval exercises near the Strait of Hormuz, a vital oil export route, additional muscle flexing by Iran to ward off the prospect of a military strike against its nuclear facilities. Iran has threatened to close off the strait if Western sanctions limit Iranian oil exports.

The U.S. and its Western allies charge Iran is producing atomic weapons. Iran says its program is meant to produce fuel for future nuclear power reactors and medical radioisotopes needed for cancer patients.

Israel and the U.S. have said that all options remain open, including military action, if Iran continues with its uranium enrichment program. U.S. officials have indicated they are concerned that Israel might launch a strike in the spring.

Israel considers Iran an existential threat because of its nuclear and missile programs and repeated references by Iranian leaders to Israel’s destruction. On Friday, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called Israel a “cancer” that must be removed.

Iran has been enriching uranium to less than 5 percent for years, but it began to further enrich part of its uranium stockpile to nearly 20 percent a year ago, saying it needs the higher grade material to produce fuel for a Tehran reactor that makes medical radioisotopes. Weapons-grade uranium is usually about 90 percent enriched.

Iran says the higher enrichment activities – to nearly 20 percent – will be carried out at Fordo, built underground to protect it from airstrikes. These operations are of particular concern to the West because uranium at 20 percent enrichment can be converted much more quickly for use in a nuclear warhead than uranium enriched to only 3.5 percent.

A high-level inspection team from the International Atomic Energy Agency was in Iran last week but did not visit its nuclear facilities. In November, the U.N. watchdog agency issued a report drawing on 1,000 pages of intelligence. It stated then for the first time that some of the alleged experiments can have no other purpose than developing nuclear weapons.

“The information indicates that Iran has carried out activities relevant to the development of a nuclear explosive device,” the report stated.

Iran denounced the IAEA report, saying the agency has discredited itself by siding with “absurd” U.S. accusations. Tehran said the allegations were based on “fabricated documents.”

It’s time to wipe them off the map before they wipe Israel and then us off the map. While we deal with that at the same time we need to start drilling in the USA anywhere we have oil. I don’t give a damn about the environmentalists. We need to be self sufficient ASAP. I think we should be respectful of animals and nature, but there as to be a balance. The left doesn’t get that.

My friend, last week Iran put a satellite into space. That launch vehicle is called an ICBM. Iran has missiles that can be launched from tankers, and cargo ships just outside our waters that could be used to explode EMP weapons over the US, a stated goal of theirs. They were training for this within the last few weeks. You are seriously naive l if you think Iran is not the most serious threat on the planet at this point in time. WWIII could be started within days, weeks, or months. Just laying mines and a small skirmish in the Gulf would send oil prices through the roof. What would happen to our current depression, with the real unemployment over 10% and the U6 over 15%, if gasoline and diesel shot up to $10.00 a gallon over night? Iran could do serious damage to us… from Iran.

Baddoggy, you are thinking in terms of ICBMs. Yes, their missiles suck.

Qur’an:9:5 “Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.”

They don’t need ICBMs to attack US. With the gaping holes on the southern border, utilizing services and routes of Zetas, they can smuggle in an elephant without anyone noticing. Break down the components of a few crude nukes, smuggle through, reassemble, detonate. No ICBMs necessary. Advantages: a) plausible deniability, time required to analyze the signature to determine origin; b) taking the battlefield inside an enemy camp.

It’s in our best interest (not only in Israel’s) for Iran not to have nuclear capability.

That is not to say that US and Israel can’t use also “all stratagems of war”. There has been a series of setbacks to Iran’s nuke program. As long as that worked, it bought some time. But that can’t be staved off indefinitely, at some point they’ll get what they want.

It’s not warmongering. It’s a prudent rational assessment of the threat.

“last week Iran put a satellite into space.”

They did launch a satellite, a small payload. Whether it reached its destination and planned orbit, I don’t know. But if it didn’t, they’ll try again. Trial and error.

India is launching satellites into space regularly. India has even nukes. But no one deems India threat (except Pakistan, feeling is mutual in India) because of it. The don’t make constant pronouncements about anyone “vanishing from pages of time”, nor they chant “death to [favorite enemy]‘.

      Good points, Armed Patriot.

We should also note IRan is not alone. Other countries are aligning or have aligned themselves with Iran, including more powerful ones. Russia may or may not support Iran in war efforts (hey, WWII all over again), they have after all helped them with one nuclear scientist, provided assistance in contruction of the nuclear works, given jets to Syria twice, threatened the U.S. almost half a dozen times now since the Dictator-in-cheif became Preisdent, and they have been preparing for their currency to take over as the world currency when the dollar fails (how they think they’ll beat other currencies, I don’t know). And of course China is building up millitary forces our millitary recently reported is too large for general defense — they are amassing, as Germany did for ten years leading up to WWII. Just a few months ago, maybe over half a year, they announced a special weapon that was designed, they said, for the newer haul plating on our war ships. Oddly specific, no?

The world is shaping up again like it did leading up to WWII. ONly we have no Patton, no Churchill, an enemy that won’t back down even if struck with a nuclear bomb, and we‘re overrun with Neville Chamberlain’s. And we got a supra foreign national, Marxist quasi dictator in the White House.

We have nuclear weapons but you are not allowed too. Pakistan is, China is, Russia is, North Korea is….but you are not. If you do produce them without our consent we will have to bomb your country, and invade it. If you attack us back after we attack you we will be really, really upset, and have to attack you more. After we have temporarily beaten you we will leave and let you get back to making nuclear weapons. And now you will be even more determined to make weapons to kill our civilians.

What reference point to you use that Iran should not have the right to defend itself from any attack. The Russians, the North Koreans, etc. made statements that were equally if not more inflammatory, Russia invaded Afghanistan, N. Korea fired on a S. Korean ship. Apply whatever rational you want, just apply it equally. Iran does not have warships 20 miles off our coast.

You can bet that any ‘attack’ by the U.S. would be very tactical. It wouldn’t be serious enough or decisive enough to do anything more than make them angry. And commit us to another 10 years of pretending to fight a war only those invested in the military industrial complex want to see continue. Senators, congressmen, lobbyists, contractors, career government types.

Israel, on the other hand, I would expect Israel to make a real mess the first time through, disabling infrastructure and command and control and in general helping people see who controls the lights and heat.

The exact translation is: “The Zionist entity will vanish from the page of time.” Upon further discussion, they explained that the translation is inexact as it uses Farsi idioms and that yes, it can be conceived of a a threat to wipe out Israel, especially when that above mentioned expression is followed by chants “Death to Israel” — there can’t be any doubt about the meaning.

The Iranians will not ever nuke Israel. They want to preserve the land of Jerusalem. What they want is regime change. Like what happened to Libya and Egypt. Granted, the Iranians want the State of Israel gone, but that is, the political state, not geographical. They want to do what we did to Iraq, and get their former leaders out, and institute a new Government. The most they’ll ever do to accomplish this is, what the Bible says they’ll do, which is gather all nations against Jerusalem. Of course, God will intervene and defend Israel himself.

Not so fast. They don’t care about Palestine. (Before Israel Palestinians were the red headed step child of the middle east.) They just care that Israel be removed, any Palestinians lost will be called Martyrs. Cleansing with fire is a very religious concept and no doubt easily translatable into nuclear fire. Iran has a religious conviction to be intolerant of Israel and any of its friends (read US.) and they have a certain belief that Allah will be at their side in defeating our Goliath. Japan felt their Emporer was infallible and invincible and because they had such “faith” it took a second Atomic Bomb blast to jar their collective will towards surrender. Iran will be no different, but our “Nuclear” approach could be. Let us define Iran as our Enemy (easily defensable as nearly every incendiary device that has taken out a US soldier can be traced back to Iran, not to mention thier inscrupulous support of the insurgency) Then we cut off money and supplies into Iran and anyone that supports them. Let them fend for themselves without any of our capital. They will be brought to their knees. Iranians will see the forest for the trees and the regime will be removed from within. The same goes for Egypt or any other piddle fart little insignificant country that has somehow arrived at the mistaken understanding that we need them and therefore they have the upper hand. It will take awhile, but after a few years the crumbling will be unstoppable.

“World Iran Vows to Hit Back at Any Country That Stages an Attack”

The corrupt demagogues are staging a false flag attack in order to take us to war. Look at the armada of ships in the Persian Gulf by those Washington crooks. They’re going to take us to war AGAIN! As if Iraq and Afghanistan didn’t cause the deaths of enough of our soldiers.

The fat politicians don‘t mind starting wars if they don’t have to fight and die in them and they, instead, send our soldiers to die in their place.

How many on here are falling for their ruse?

Ron Paul is right. The world hates the US because the US attacks nations to further an agenda, not because of any kind of national security concerns.

Why don’t the crooks in Washington do the same to North Korea? After all, they have nuclear weapons NOW, and they help rogue countries with their nuclear programs.

Of course, it is because North Korea poses no threat to Israel, as Iran does, and North Korea can fight back using nuclear weapons if need be. N. Korea poses a far greater threat than Iran.

And what kind of threat does Iran pose to Israel?

Well, if Israel attacks them they could fight back. That’s the threat. And if tIran had nuclear weapons Israel couldn’t bomb them at will without being attacked in return.

The Washington Mafia thinks taking us to war will get us out of this coming depression, as WWII did years ago for the first depression. But it will collapse the system. Wait and see.

And you allude to “defending yourself.“ Are you so idiotic you think unilaterally attacking a nation is ”defending” youself? Especially when it isn’t necessary. robert…….Anti-Jew is how you come across, you may not be, but that is how you come off…..Every country that goes against Israel has lost….and will….To me its not a matter of taking Iran out for U.S. interest alone, but you cant say our government wants war so we don’t go deeper into or to pull us out of a depression and then say if we go to war it will end us….to much of a contradiction…..The clear point is that every country that has been a friend to Israel has been blessed by God….this is not a matter of interpretation, it is a historical fact. Don’t comment on it, I wont respond, it is what it is….We have been a blessed nation because of the God of Israel…period. The day we go against Israel is the day of our death….The year we kick God out of our national conscious is the day we begin the downward spiral into uncontrollable denigration…self-evident isn’t it, look at us now…..

Weather you or anyone wants to accept it, this world is a battle field for the unseen, spiritual warfare….Satan hates you, me and every living person on earth. He is a liar and a thief. Satan used Hitler to try and exterminate the Jews. Satan is using Iran to try and exterminate the Jews. Because it is a spiritual war God will, and has won as he lives not in time, but out side of time. He has told us what is going to happen, and every thing God has ever said has and is coming true…the bible is the only truth we can hold, feel, touch, read and embrace.

Just for example, the bible says Damascus will be leveled, destroyed in one hour….sure go live in Damascus and say it isn’t going to happen. There will be two witness of God sent from heaven that will be killed in Jerusalem, the whole world will see them lying dead in the streets for three days. The mark of the beast, you will not be able to sell or buy anything with out it. If you take the mark God says you will be cast into the lake of fire, if you don’t take the mark you will die…..No matter what you or anyone says, these will come to pass……..who do you serve..?

Oneman. If it is as you say, we should have no reason to think God will not protect israel again. The wars israel went through in the 60s/70s were immediate and serious – yet israel won without starting WWIII.

You yourself say we have turned from God and falling apart from within. Attacking iran on israel’s behalf will not fix that. In fact, beause our leaders are godless – we have little reason to trust what our government says and their ability to carry out a war.

“……….but you cant say our government wants war so we don’t go deeper into or to pull us out of a depression and then say if we go to war it will end us….to much of a contradiction…..”

It’s not a contradiction at all. The reason you think it is is because your understanding and reading comprehension are lacking somewhat.

The powers that be have taken us to war before in order to salvage the economy somewhat, as in WWII. It workled them, because our GDP to debt was vastly lower than it is now. It will not work now and will result in a global economic meltdown, but the arrogant elites can’t see that.

And so far as “Anti-Semitic” is concerned, I’m sick to death of listening to people wail about anti-Semitism simply for criticizing Israel. It’s usually a Jew that does that like Ben Stein who outrageously declared Ron Paul an Anti-Semite for criticizing US suport of Israel in too many wars.

You hard right religious figures should wake up and understand that the promotion of Israel in your bible is all disingenuous babble. Any deity we might have is not going to favor one nation over another. Such a thing is contradictory to His supposed claim to be just and fair.,

So, my post was accurate in what it said, and all that is necessary to prove my point is to wait and see. If the US or Israel bombs Iran, we will see the gates of hell opened, because the conflagration will cause the entire world to explode.

Can the U.S. dissuade Iran from building a nuclear weapon without having to resort to the use of military force? American presidents have a mixed record of success in the post-World War II world of influencing the decision making of our adversaries and avoiding war. Where they have succeeded—the October 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis is the prime example—it was because they were prepared to use the full force of American power; and the adversary had no doubt that they would do so. When it comes to Iran, Israel’s threat to use unilateral force complicates U.S. decision making, but it should not prevent Washington from taking the lead and doing what is necessary. http://ewross.com/dissuading_iran_from_building_a_nuclear_weapon_the_lesson_of_the_cuban_missile_crisis.htm

      @ EWRoss

We didn’t win the Cuban Missile Crisis.

It would not have happened if JFK had not called off the air support for the Bay of Pigs attack.

When it did happen, JFK betrayed our allies. He traded the USSR the missiles in Cuba for our pulling our missiles from Turkey. We gained nothing from a crisis that didn’t have to happen. We lost some of our deterrent and screwed Turkey.

Part of the agreement was that the US would not try to overthrow Fidel. We severed relations with him and had our allies do the same. Had it not been for JFK’s mishandling of the crisis, Cuba would be the star of the Caribbean. It would be a world wide vacation destination and their exports would have made millionaires, and given the people prosperity. Instead the crisis allowed Fidel to ruin his country and his people.

Judging from Iran cutting Hezbollah loose and funding as well, it is reasonable presume that they think they are near to switching to a different mode of warfare.

‘For all the weenies that say this is just like what led up to Iraq get your head out of your butt. Iran is run by Radical Islamic Fundamentalists who believe in the return of the 12th Imam.”

Then why does the multicults continue to import hundreds of thousands of Muslims into this country if they pose such a great threat? Are the multicults not creating an inner enemy force within our own borders that will have the advantage of attacking us from within? Why attack a threat from without when the enemy is within our gates and can do far more damage than a country thousands of miles away?

We are now in the midst of a global war that does not so much pit nation against nation, as it pits ideology against ideology. Muslims from within share a transnational allegiance with their brothers and sisters worldwide no matter if they live in the M.E. or Europe or the U.S., and if you think the ones here will not bide their time and strike when they’re ready, you will soon learn differently.

These control freaks in this administration and the Pentagon have an economy that is close to sliding into a full blown depression.

When they can’t find a solution to it they usually take us to war, and this war could WELL spark WWIII, and that is no exaggeration.

That’s what is happening now. But this time it will cause a global financial meltdown.

Negotiations with Iran would play out the same as with North Korea…”Oh…you pay us huge sum of money to stop, OK…we stop!” Then of course once they have the money they start up again.

Iran is not doing this as a bargaining chip. They are doing this (seeking nuclear weapons) to kill a religious enemy. It is not from a sane or rational mind…it is from radical hatred.

I hate to tell you this, but Israel is going to get obliterated. Egypt and other countries going through this “arab spring” are cementing their islamic control and will wind up bowing down to Iran. Iraq will fall again soon into a dictatorship and join “Team Mo” like the rest. Or worse, the attack on Israel will be one of total terrorism with no trail back to any one or two country’s that will stand up to scrutiny in the world courts should we (or anyone else) pull another Bush-attack on the wrong country on faulty intelligence.

And I’m sorry…but my whole life I’ve tried to explain to people about the gift (and curse) of Free Will which our lord gave us…and I don‘t think he’s going to intervene as some seem to think and protect the “chosen” people.

It’s not going to matter if it comes to war and we roll over Iran like a bunch of cutely dressed Nancy-boys. Actual war is not the strong suit in the middle east. TERRORISM is. So go ahead and attack them and watch them make 9/11 look small time.

Sanctions don’t amount to much. It is largely symbolic. In your example it would be like Obamunist family would be deprived of ice cream. They may be pissed about it and sneak a gallon in the WH through the underground corridor, sure.

I think you confuse sanction with a blocade. The second has been actually threatened by Iran at different times. All they have to do is to blow up several tankers in the Straight of Hormuz, and they will block oil traffic for months.

It’s simple. You go back to WWII and all the riches we raked in with the “lend lease” program, the fear we generated with our nuclear bombings and the US dollar being the world currency for trading. We became “king-of-the-hill”, began flying through our riches, heading down the path to borrowing, started sticking our noses into every country’s business and trying to steer them in the direction we wanted, defended our hill against Russia in the cold war until our wallets were empty…and all along, the rest of the world moved forward in the industrial and tech fields which meant they needed bigger slices of the resources available. We all shake hands with a dagger in the other.

And almost all are slowly turning their ire towards the US…because they are freaking tired of us trying to police and control them. They are tired of our underhanded manipulations.

Transportation and convoys WERE in effect for the Lend Lease Program, I was referring to the Cash & Carry program which preceded the other until our allies were strapeed for cash. The “Cash & Carry“ program went into effect to maintain our ”neutrality” and called for the buyers to come and get it with their own transportation.

“This program also prevented U.S. businesses interests backing the success or failure of any warring nation. Because of the conclusion of the Nye Committee, which asserted that United States involvement in World War I was driven by private interests from arms manufacturers, many Americans believed that investment in a belligerent would eventually lead to American participation in war.”

Though I found no amounts in how much the US made during “Cash & carry”, Wikipedia places the amount of Lend Lease at 50.1 billion (611 billion nowadays) …this does not include the amounts we charged them via loans after the war to retain equipment and continue providing supplies, which was another 1.075 billion POUNDS from Britain and another 4.7 billion dollars from Russia & the United Kingdom…that is “then” dollars and not “todays.”

It also does not include the amounts in “reverse Lend Lease” programs for use of air bases and so on which came to another 7.8 billion (then money) in long term loans payable to the US…6.8 billion of this was from the British and Commonwealth.

140 billion spent for 1/2 trillion gained.

He may use this to suspend the November election as well, there is nothing this idiot wont try or do to make himself our dictator. In his own words he said he was going to fundamentally change our country.

I do feel for the people who are under the boot of the evil leaders; but they are the ones who need to do something about it. Better now than later, cuz if their leadership picks a fight with us, it might be too late.

Ummm okay .. aren’t they the ones going around and threatening other countries? Wanting to “wipe Israel off the map”? You make threats and people are likely to take you seriously and try to stop you!

What I also wish to know is that according to local newspapers and the radio program – Voice to America/Sunday edition the dictator of Yemen has been a guest here in the US for over a week now and almost no coverage comes out from it.
