Iraq Vet Assaulted During Ohio Campaign Rally

On Friday, Sept. 25, Republican staffer and Iraq war veteran Clayton Henson was filming a campaign rally for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ted Strickland when a man approached him from behind and poured hot coffee down his back. The unidentified man can later be seen taunting Henson with crude gestures.
The Ohio GOP has released this video in hopes of helping police authorities identify the suspect:

Posted on September 28, 2010 at 8:00pmThis is just one more example in the unbelievably long list of liberal / democrat acts of hate and intolerance for those to dare disagree with them. However, when the media is running cover for the left it’s easy to see why they become so bold and brazen with their outbursts. On the same week at another democrat gathering, anyone with a video device was assaulted. Age or gender afforded no cover or security at all.
The message is: “What we democrats do…. we do behind closed doors!” The follow on message to that is: “Because we fear the light of day and further fear the truth about what we really think and feel becoming public knowledge.”
The democrat party of our fathers and grandfathers has been co-opted and corrupted by what they would have rightly called communists and socialists. Anyone who still thinks or believes that the democrat party stands for all the things your parents and grandparents believed in has had their head in the sand for several decades now. In truth…. today’s republican party is the democrat party of old and the GOP is missing in action. Republicans had become…. “Liberal Lite” in Washington DC and elsewhere around the nation. True conservatives have gone the way of the woolly mammoth.
The good news to all of this is that the left will *always* tell you who and what they fear. They simply cannot help themselves. It stems from their total and complete arrogance and disdain for “We the People.“ In the WH ”Press briefings” and on all the old media outlets their talking heads will constantly attack, impune, ridicule and make fun of everything and everyone they fear.
Sara Palin seems to live in their heads. She is attacked and maligned daily for nothing more insidious than going about her life. Do they fear her good looks? Are they terrified of her “non Ivy League” education? Does the fact that she knows how to hunt and fish send them into cold sweats? No. What causes the left to twist off and go insane is what she says and how well that message resonates with conservative Americans everywhere. GET THAT!!! They are afraid of *thoughts* and *words* which they cannot control.
That fact alone says it all about which way the left wants to take this nation.

If anyone touches me, there will be pictures/video, and I WILL be prosecuting to the fullest extent of the law, not to mention a civil suit (if applicable) for interfering with my first ammendment rights as a press photographer. In a world where everyone has a cameraphone and/or video camera, there is no excuse to let these deceitful tactics work.
Strike back with legal action, not with your fists. Expose them for what they are!
They are coming to OUR rallies with the intent of starting trouble, then sharing the videos to prove how “violent” we are. I have lots of videos that I have shot personally that show this, and prove this. I even have one video where one of a group of 12 says “we got some REALLY good reactions!”
They are there to generate reactions. Take video of what they are doing, and post it on youtube. Show the world what they are all about.
Sunlight is the best disinfectant for these people.
A lot of reasonable people are following these hatemongers, because they do not see them for who they really are. Let’s show the world who they REALLY are!

I would have taken immediate steps to protect myself. And when the cops showed up, they wouldn’t have trouble finding the culprit. Just look for the severly discolored, lumpy guy that has a severe limp.

The attack on a veteran that has been protecting the country where you have freedoms is the same as attacking a person that has saved you from falling from a clift.
