Iraqi Woman Beaten to Death in CA: Threatening Note Says ‘Go Back to Your Country’

32-year old Shaima Alawadi, an Iraqi immigrant, has died of her wounds after being severely beaten in El Cajon, California.

She was found unconscious in her dining room on Wednesday by her 17-year old daughter, next to a note that reportedly said, “Go back to your own country.  You’re a terrorist.”

When asked by a local reporter about the event, the daughter said of the attacker, “We’re not the terrorist, you are.  Whoever did it.  We don’t know what color you are, but we do know one thing.  You are not Christian, you’re not Muslim, and you’re not Jewish, you’re someone without a religion, because if you know God, you would know God would not accept that.  You’re an animal…you’re not even an animal.”

Alawadi’s husband works as a contractor for the U.S. military, where he serves as a cultural advisor to people who will be deployed to the Middle East.

Though the family moved to California from Michigan several weeks ago, they received a similar note soon after arriving but did not report it to the authorities.  According to the Washington Post, they dismissed it as a prank.

Police are investigating the killing as an isolated incident, saying “A hate crime is one of the possibilities and we will be looking at that. We don’t want to focus on only one issue and miss something else.”

CAIR’s Hanif Mohebi said, “The family is in shock at the moment. They’re still trying to deal with what happened.”

El Cajon has the second-largest Iraqi community in the United States, after Detroit, with some 40,000 Iraqis.

Just remember just like the Travon Martin case, and Progressive thought, the individual is expendable when it propels the narrative in support of the cause. I could be wrong, but this seems like a setup, I hope the authority’s can find who did this quickly, so that if it is a setup it can be quashed quickly.
Although given the treatment of women under Islam, if they really wanted to start something they would have set fire to the family koran as it seem they really do value paper over life.

Some of the media is already comparing this to the Trayvon incident. Just Googled it and the social media sites are going a bit wild with it too.
As for this murder a hit and run to commit a murder would use an economy of blows with said tire iron to hasten escape time. I would also think that the weapon would be removed, but the stories that I have read hear and at other locations only refer to a tire iron. But, do not say if it was left at the scene. That could just be an assumption by the media or a remark from the grieving daughter. Multiple wounds and a massive number of multiple wounds seems more like a crime of passion. That would indicate somebody who knows her to include a family member, or family (so called) friend. Regardless, somebody close to her. This is not specified in any story either. The only adjectives that I have read so far are “brutally, grizzly, or savagely” to refer to the beating. Tends to lead one to think multiple blows, but could also be interpreted as a single blow. Hopefully, more information will be released soon, an that the investigation leads to the capture of the person or persons involved with this crime. And quickly enough to forgo a crap storm in the media. Let’s not try to make this a “race” thing here either. Iranians (Persians) are Caucasian too. The best thing for all of us to do is to be patient and stop all of the accusations while waiting for further info.

This is very sad and should never happen. We have a large Mosque in our community and there are a significant number of Muslims living in our area. We had a Muslim family living several houses down from us for several years. They never smiled, never waved and would never speak with us or acknowledge us when we said hello or waved. For almost 4 years I tried to greet them when I would see them in the neighborhood, I would wave and smile and say hello and they would either look away or just glare at me. They truly gave me the feeling that they hated me. I never understood it. I think it’s important when you go to live in another country that you assimilate and embrace the culture and the people to the extent that you can maintain your religious faith but interact and give back to the community. Unfortunately this has not been my experience with the Muslims I have encountered in our area. They make us feel like we are an unfortunate bi-product of living in America. It really is unfortunate.

The hyprocisy never ceases to amaze me. Regarding the Trayvon murder, beck‘s sheeple say ’don’t jump to conclusions, let them investigate’. But in this case, judgement is passed and everybody is in agreement – It must’ve been the husband, family, progressives, socialists, communists, marxists, the left etc etc…at least try and be consistent in your anger and fear. Blind rage will get you nowhere, now lookout I think there’s a commie around the next corner…

      @SNOOP1E

Yes it is very sad, and it was very good of you to say that, but then you spend the rest of your relatively long comment talking about one Muslim family you have had contact with, and their apparent unwillingness to assimilate. That is unfortunate, but what makes you that ONE family is representative of all Muslims living in the country? And what does one Muslim family’s behavior have to do with the brutal beating and killing of a Muslim woman in California?? It almost sounds like you’re implying that if Muslims would only assimilate they wouldn’t be murdered by racists? As though its their fault? Perhaps one could just as well say that Muslims would be able to assimilate more easily if there weren’t such rampant anti-Muslim sentiments out there fueled on by unfounded conspiracy theories.

I am willing, however, to give you the benefit of the doubt here. Please explain.

There is something not quite right about this whole scenario. Looks like a convenient distraction ( the note) from the real cause of the murder. Hope they get plenty of DNA from the note and the crime scene.
Anyone out there very full of hate…. just realize that you are creating a great environment for cancer in your body. When you leave this earth you‘ll see that it didn’t matter what color you were here on earth or how much money you made. Christ was likely not blonde and blue eyed as portrayed in artwork. He was Middle Eastern when here on earth. He is every man now and that means that He is white, brown and black…because He lives in every one of us. Can we love each other like we were commanded to do? He loves our enemies, can we?

      I live in San Diego…

What the article doesn’t mention is that the Iraqis who settled here are CHRISTIAN REFUGEES…

We also have large Brazilian, Asian, and of course, Mexican immigrant populations…and I just don’t see hatred of minorities out here…

I‘m not saying it’s impossible that this woman was targeted because of her ethnicity, but it is far more likely that the crime was committed by someone within her own ethnic community and the note was left to cast suspicion in another direction…

I’m sure the police are smart enough to see that also, which is why they say that a hate crime is only one of the possibilities they are investigating…

Was the woman an Christian or a Muslim? Why were they in the U.S. to begin with? Were they here using asylum as the reason? How long had the husband been working for the U.S. military? There are too many questions yet unanswered? Jumping to conclusions doesn’t help.

The fact it was a beating speaks volumes. This was either very personal or it was to communicate a message. You don’t have to be an FBI profiler to figure that one out.

And she said her family came here for a better life? But I thought Islamic theocracies ruled by Sharia are perfect and just. If so, why are you coming to America? Go back to your Islamic countries.

While I typed this message, another 50 non-Muslims were murdered by Muslims…

      How soon you forget.

Christians – Adolf Hitler, Joseph Kony, The Pope during the Crusades. And if we want to talk simply oppression we can talk about 16th century England for starters.

Jews – Moses against every person they found wandering in the desert, modern day Israel against Palestinians. There are far fewer Jews so I concede these are harder to come by nowadays, but in ancient times (like ancient Rome) they did it to every people they invaded.

That should be enough to jog your memory. I can talk most if you like.

      @RangerP
Methodists are a sect of Christianity so they can fall under the greater umbrella. If you don‘t like that answer I’d reassure you that they’re only 200 years and – their time will come.

Buddhism does appear to have a pretty clean record as far as I can find. Good point, we should all be Buddhists.

Iraqi woman beaten to death. Simple headline, not so simple narrative. A Middle east woman, killed, so what. But what does that say. A woman who may have spoken out about mistreatment. A woman like so many during the slave days, tired of being beaten, tired of the misogynistic treatment, tired of the slave like conditions they are placed under, even in a “Free” world. Until we address these and many others, we are no bigger than the countries that allow this to happen to women. Until Moochelle and Barrack stand up and say “Enough”, women will continue to be killed under this system, no matter if it is in a free world, or under the Muslim oppression. Please, if the left continue to scream at Rush, must scream at this, make this a bed stone against the plight of women in the Muslim world. Women of the world untie. Even the piece of crap that is Andy Stern could fight for this one, but of course, it isn’t really women, it’s just Muslim women, which is just property.

San Diego County has a historic white supremacist past. The Klan was involved in City politics early in this century. More recently Tom Metzger and his White Aryan Resistance were very active and made national headlines.

While it’s not a daily occurance, it’s not unheard to see racist graffiti hear that high schools or neighborhoods have been leafleted with racist flyers.

Common enough that incidents don’t even make the local news.

El Cajon is a very backwards place. It is like Selma in the 60s. If it wasn’t for the Mexican Americans, El Cajon would be as white as any Midwestern town.

“You people” aren’t welcome in El Cajon.

By simply using Google the stories that I had read reported that he showed up as an unwanted participant at a San Diego party function. Naturally, since I have not lived in California since I was a very young child I do not know much of the area’s past. And, will not comment on it. I can only hope that improvements can be made in race relations. From your comment it sounds as though your California has a long way to go to catch up with today’s race relations in Selma, Alabama.

If there is a bright side to this maybe it will encourage muslims and their “religion of peace” to kindly leave our country, for good.
When our founders came here to America for “freedom of religion” it was for freedom of Christian religions, Catholic, Protestant, etc. They would be rolling in their graves to know savages have been allowed to populate this nation by twisting their original intentions.
I am finished being tolerant of a religion that wants to wipe me off the face of the earth. My family and I will not prostrate ourselves to savages, not now, not ever. There really is such a thing as better or worse, right and wrong, goodness and evil. People are nowhere close to being equal, and if you think you are equal to these mind-numbingly backwards savages then I pity you and the poor excuse of a brain you were given to work with. When a Military Veteran kills Muslims – it is a hate Crime
When a Muslim with Terrorist connections kills our Brave Men and Women at Ft. Hood – it is considered work place violence.

And the Media plays right along with it.

The tissue was as much a prop as the shades. I think the only moisture that tissue absorbed was from her palm. I’ve never seen a woman cry (I mean really cry like my Mom is dead and I found her cry) without tears and snot. Was an RN who worked Hospice for awhile. Even when death was expected, shock was still great. This woman had no fluid leaking out of her face, but she tried so hard to make us believe it was. Why?

I don’t know. Something doesn’t seem right. Not that I can’t believe some in-human dirt sack could do something like this, it’s just a little suspicious. To beat someone to death with a tire iron requires a lot of rage. It just doesn’t fit. My first thought was honor killing cover-up and by the police statement seems they are not jumping to conclusions either. The perp pointed the cops in a particular direction or particular type of “person” with the note and that is odd. I suspect they will make an arrest and some will be sad its not “Bubba”.

My father died suddenly when I was in High School, I didn’t cry until after the funeral. I was too busy taking care of the adults and sibling around me who were falling apart; had to ID the body, as my mother was heavily sedated.

My dad was depression-old-school and former military and I know he would have been telling me to “soldier up” (even though I am a woman) and “quit your blubbering”, so that is what I did. Even at the funeral, I made a conscious decision not to cry; my father would not have approved of emotion like that in public.

In my teen-age mind, I was honoring him in death by acting with the strength, dignity and stoicism that he lived every day of his life, he was my hero. I tear up now 20+ years later when I remember him, but at the time, those around me needed someone to be steady.

Everyone reacts differently, lots of tears or lack thereof, is not always an indicator of involvement or innocence.

Wow, a teenage girl finds her mother dead, and your response is that she must have done it. Your compassion astounds me. Do you have kids? If so, at what age do you think they will realize that their father is a p r i c k?

Nice to read your comment Turbocat, I too was horrified by some (most) of the comments here. I hate to dissappoint you, but although Spikebu’s comment here sound ok (with the exception of the potentially worrisom point he made about his Iraqi friends being Christians), his other comments on this thread indicate he is not much better than the hateful loons on this thread. I now realize he was making a point of his Iraqi friends were Christians as opposed to Muslims and therefore good. Oh well, can‘t say I’m surprised.

They’ll find who did it and they will be punished.

There’s NO excuse for the hatred and indifference some people are expressing.

Islamism is repulsive and destructive. But shouldn’t be an excuse for others to imitate the shameful bahaviours Islam promotes.

CAIR is the Moslem version of the two “Rent A Riots” Herr Jackson, and Herr Sharpton. They indulge their outrage where they find it most politically and media convenient to promote their narrative, and ignore violence when their own inflict it elsewhere.

Saddened at this woman’s death, and that she had to be discovered by her daughter. May authorities quickly find whomever the animal is.

By saying “You’re a terrorist”, the note might possibly have been referring to the fact that the victim’s husband was a contractor for the US/ZOG army. At any rate, this Sgt. Bales/W-Cheney mentality is sick, sick, sick.
