A rogue fan made it into the end zone at the Notre Dame-Navy football game in Dublin, Ireland Saturday and danced an Irish jig before security caught up with him.
Instead of cutting away, CBS Sports replayed the incident for the audience at home.
“How many Irish jigs do you get to see?” a commentator asked.
According to Yahoo! Sports, the man is a U.K. resident who goes by the name “Jungle Bird” and regularly disrupts such events to protest deforestation. During Saturday’s game, he was wearing a T-shirt protesting KFC.

Posted on September 3, 2012 at 3:15amNotre Dame….the only college in the world that could have a 6 and 5 record and still be in the top ten in newpaper polls. That is why I hate them.

Posted on September 3, 2012 at 1:26amIt would have been great if an Irish football player would have scored then continued the Irish Jig-Dance in the endzone that the gentleman on Guinness started before he was arrested.

Posted on September 2, 2012 at 3:45pmThey needed someone from one of the teams to body slam him, ala James Harrison of the Steelers to an idiot Cleveland Browns fan who ran onto the field

Posted on September 2, 2012 at 3:24pmYa’ll are arguing about the wrong thing. The article called him a dancer….that’s BS. This guy can’t dance! Find some cute little Irish step dancers to entertain us… They’re a lot more fun than the game anyway.

This guy jets around between continents to protest deforestation? He is part of the problem.

Posted on September 2, 2012 at 1:24pmEveryone’s missing the true political/ racist thing happening here… This guy was a Brit. The Irish are NOT British. The Northern Irish are part of the United Kingdom, but the Republic of Ireland is a sovereign nation that DESPISES Great Britian, it’s former occupier. Dublin is in the Republic of Ireland. This was a British Protestant mocking the Irish Catholics… on their turf. He‘s lucky he didn’t get shot in the head. This racism is VERY real in Ireland. They are still killing each other over it. The IRA / Ulster “troubles” make Jim Crowe south look like a game of tiddleywinks. These ignorant announcers didn’t help either.

Posted on September 2, 2012 at 2:19pmAre you serious? The Irish are nothing but the lapdogs of the Germans right now, they aren’t better than the Italians or the Greeks, and those poor countries haven’t had the great influence of the UK. The British have have defeated the 2 greatest abominations of history: Napoleon and Hitler, not to mention all the previous lessons they thought to the French.

Posted on September 2, 2012 at 2:47pm@PLATONITIAN… i’m not making some economic argument dipstick. Nor am i glorifying the IRA, but seeing as how i carry duel US/ UK citizenship (recognized by Britain only.. US doesn’t recognize it) i speak from some knowledge and personal experience here. This was as much a religious/ socio-cultural statement as it was a protest against logging and KFC. I am well versed in the long triumphant history of The British Empire so save your B.S. there. I guarantee the Irish are not happy about this idiot’s little jig. You can dispute this if you wish but you would be wrong.

Posted on September 2, 2012 at 3:13pmIrish and British —–> Same race. The word you want is ‘nationality’. Nice try.
Report Post »Eastinfection
Posted on September 2, 2012 at 3:22pm@WEINER… nice try yourself. Many Anglo-Celts and Anglo-Saxons do not consider themselves to be of the same race. They consider each other inferior due to blood, not philosophy. Hence, racism.

Posted on September 2, 2012 at 12:57pmI think it is OK to still say Jig. Saying the words, Constitution, and Golf are racist. I really never met any Black man that hates the Constitution or that plays a lot of golf – so how can that be racist.

Posted on September 2, 2012 at 1:24pmI don’t know DB321, “Jig” might be a racist code word. You can never really tell.
Thank god we have experts at MSNBC to let us know when we are being offensive.
