Reports are breaking out of China that the government has blocked internet searches for the word “Egypt” using Chinese characters. You can still search using English characters, but Chinese language searches have been blocked. Apparently there is concern that Egypt‘s uprising might put the stability of China’s regime at risk.
For the record, Facebook and Twitter are already blocked by the Chinese government, but citizens are permitted to use Sina.com’s messaging service Weibo. It is on Weibo that “Egypt” is currently considered a no-no.

Murdoch: ‘Great companies’ don’t mind Chinese censorship
“Cavuto pressed on, wondering if, News Corp.’s interests aside, Murdoch thought U.S. companies ought to be helping a totalitarian government crack down on free speech. Murdoch: “I don’t object to that.
Well, certainly you can’t expect it when your own “great company” notoriously made its own kowtow to Beijing, pulling BBC News from Star TV in order to get the satellite channel into China. More recently, News Corp. empowered serious censorship with its launch of MySpace China; the site, in which News Corp. owns a minority stake, prohibits chatter about politically sensitive topics and encourages users to inform on one another.”

Posted on February 1, 2011 at 2:44amI’m with ya! But I wouldn’t blame just Barry. I would more go for the THEM that is telling Barry what to do and say. Barry is just a front man, a face for people to blame. THEY want all governments around the world to crash and all the citizens to get mad and go crazy. This is how a NWO will be started.

Posted on February 1, 2011 at 2:24amMy wife (who was born in China) found out more about her country since moving to NZ than she ever knew while growing up in China.
She told me that the news clips of the Tianamin Square and other documentaries we’ve watched on television would never have been shown there.
Incidentally, the last of the Tianamin Square leaders were executed about the middle of last year…..
