Is It Possible Obama Might Step Aside in 2012?

Many analysts on both sides of the aisle asked a question today that would have seemed beyond the pale six months ago: Is it possible Obama might not run for reelection? Is It Possible Obama Might Step Aside in 2012?

The Washington Times reports that a collection of liberal politicians and interest groups will offer primary challenges to Barack Obama next year.

This proposed progressive coalition will by led by Ralph Nader to challenge Obama for having sold out to to the ‘corporatist right’– and, according to the coalition, just generally doing an abysmal job. Recent Gallup polling shows Obama’s popularity among liberals has plummeted to an all-time-low.

That polling reflects a trend among some stalwart left-wing columnists who want Obama to step aside lest Republicans seize every branch of government in 2012. Steve Chapman of the Chicago Tribune wrote today that “Obama should withdraw,” and listed the following litany of criticisms for this political advice:

“The sputtering economy is about to stall out, unemployment is high, his jobs program may not pass, foreclosures are rampant… his approval rating is at its lowest level ever. His party just lost two House elections — one in a district it had held for 88 consecutive years. He’s staked his future on the jobs bill, which most Americans don’t think would work.”

A long list, but not written without purpose. Chapman already had a replacement in mind to occupy the Oval Office. He wrote that “the ideal candidate would be a figure of stature and ability who can’t be blamed for the economy… conspicuously associated with prosperity.”

Who does the Chapamn think fits this bill?

Hillary Clinton.

This suggestion echoes advice given from the other side of the political aisle last week by former Vice President Dick Cheney. Former President Bill Clinton’s knee-jerk response was to ignore Cheney’s suggestion as partisan machinations.

Perhaps now liberals will view the suggestion Hilary should run as honest analysis, even from Republicans.

He will do as he is told. God forbid that evil good for nothing Clinton gets in there. Really, since her husband set loose the terrorist that he pardoned for the Latino vote, what has she done? How about an illegal war in Libya, total unrest in the middle east, espionage and secrets leaked, allies making new alliances with China and Russia, Palestinians getting a new state, Iran and nukes…..it goes on and on…

It’s a brilliant stroke. Soros replaces a rotten golden delicious apple with a brand new shiny ginger gold apple. It’s virtually the same apple with a clean slate. The dems make republicans the evil party of no. They make obama a martyr. Hillary rides in like joan of arc and the republicans have the cavalry out of position and have to turn the cannons 180 degrees and reform the lines. They replace a severely wounded politician with the most popular national figure of the moment(latest bloomberg poll)A lot of things make sense now that didn’t before if obama pulls out. Someone has to tell obama he won’t be an a-lister, won’t win at golf, he‘ll get elbowed under the boards and his jokes won’t be as funny if he doesn’t run.

Is it possible that even Obama‘s inner circle have been reading Wil Adams’ best-selling e-book ‘How to Reform the Political System and save the United States’? I had been hearing rumors about this book for a while, but when I went to Amazon to download it for myself I was stunned at this guy‘s insight in to what it means to solve America’s problems. He and his group have come up with really great solutions that would really work to rewind the clock back to a day when things were so much more pleasant in the US than they are now. He names the problems, and then outlines–more clearly than today’s political class do–the steps we the people should be taking to solve those problems. I love his solution to illegal immigration! Perhaps he should consider a run for public office himself.

This has been obvious for some time….the ONLY way the Progressives can move full steam ahead is to put her at the forefront. Why? She has a lot of support from the left’s base, even those disgruntled with Obama. Their complaint is he hasn’t turned is into a socialist Utopia yet. Oddly enough, they are clueless enough to believe that the progressive agenda has their best interests in mind over the power of a select few. The advantage? She will move full steam ahead and not care, but will be able to make a better case for her craziness. Scary….I do not want another Clinton, especially not that evil bewitch.

I agree; he will do as he is told. Come ON Blaze- don‘t be another ’drive by’ media! Get some press on the NWO and who the president’s masters are, whomever that is. The last president not under the thumb of the NWO was Kennedy, and he was assasinated for not being who they thought he was, in going off-script, which then was escalation in military spending and borrowing for the Viet Nam boogie man, (”Look out for falling dominos!”) and by signing executive order 11110 (never repealed), which took the treasury back from the NWO and put America in control of currency again. I have said over and over that Obama’s marching orders are to finish-off the dollar. That is his mission, plain and clear for all to see. If he puts the dollar in check-mate, he may step down, to maintain the illusion that things may improve, while we frogs in the boiling beakers splash around in the now-rolling boil. “Whew, it’s hot in here!” Bush‘s mission was to suspend constitutional protections by staging an event that lead days later to the institutuion of the ’Patriot Act’, as well as the resultant massive increases in the spending and borrowing required to ‘empire’ all over obscure places where the mythological Boogie Man can hide. Can we please get SOME news here that enlightens the people and explains in terms everyone can understand what is really going on here? We are quickly being herded by the NWO into a place we do not want to be. Martyrdom or enslavement and death? You will

Hillary’s State Department is also involved in Operation Fast and Furious, Operation Castaway, Project Gunrunner.

She is also responsible for providing the PLO with $900 MILLION of our US taxpayer money – in the middle of the “peace talks” with Israel.

The money is suspected of supporting HAMAS, the terrorist group – and was the point in which members of Congress began trying to have full oversight on how “humanitarian aid” is spent.

      @phoenixsoulfire

Are you willing to leave up to “chance” the “almost sure thing” that Obama would not be relected? When you have over 45% of the public receiving government money in some form or fashion, and who pay no federal income taxes, do you really believe those 45% are going to vote against their sugar daddy, the muslim-in-chief? That leaves 55% of the public to vote against this sleeper muslim, yet a good percentage of them, too, will vote for this evil anti-christ like person because they are just plain stupid.

Do NOT leave this up to change. Get out and make your voices heard. We all need to be attending our local village/city/town/school board meetings and letting our thoughts and wishes be known. We need to speak out against the corruption. We need to get our friends, relatives and neighbors into this fight. We can sit back and think it’s an “almost sure thing”, but if we’re wrong?

The rabid left has known for quite some time that being vocal works. We middle-of-the-road and right sided individuals keep thinking we’ll do the same thing (vote our wishes but remain too busy to be involved) and a different outcome will happen. Why is that? Are we insane? To continue this, we must be.

Fight the Fight! Do NOT leave anything up to chance. Get out and make a difference!

If unemployment stays the same (along with energy prices), it wouldn’t matter if the GOP nominated a six-headed, fire-breathing, Sarah Palin….the GOP nominee would beat Obama/Clinton/Kucinch/Nader/Rumpelstiltskin hands down.

Pretty sad day for the libs when they are abandoning their Messiah. Good to see that people on the left are finally waking up to the fact that Obama is a terrible President. We would have been better off with a Rhesus Monkey in charge the last three years… or perhaps a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. It’s a toss-up.

If anybody thinks this elitist, liberal, socialist, community organizing snob will step down your nuts. This guy hates the fundamentals this country was founded. He wants to drive the economy into the ground and form a socialist elitist class to control the serfs (you and me). He will not step down and the liberal democraps will not put up a challenger in the primary because Obama is black. The CBC and Black panthers would scream racism and everybody in government today fears the mere outcry no matter how invalid the claim.

they can’t scream racism, they will never turn on the hand that feeds them, and besides,it is their own crazy communist buddies that have turned on him, so they will never call them racist, because it is always our fault.

This article is misleading. Nader said he wants primary challengers to sharpen Obama and force him to articulate his stance on the “issues”. Not to replace him.

Anyone who actually thinks the narcissistic, egomaniac Obama would EVER bow out of the next election is dreaming. And even if he gave it any thought, do you think his overbearing and selfish wife would allow it ? These two will have to literally be thrown out of the White House when Obama goes down to a LANDSLIDE defeat next fall.

I’ve said it for months — the DNC has been priming the pumps to put Hillary in the White House for years. That’s why she was given the position she has now as Secretary of State.

Hillary will be the Democratic candidate in 2012.
