Is Karl Rove ‘Walking Back’ His O’Donnell Diss?

Talking Points Memo is saying, “Well, that didn’t take long.”  The left spin goes like this:

Perhaps it’s no surprise that Rove buckled under the pressure of his right-wing critics, rushing onto Fox this morning to change the narrative. How can you call me establishment? he asked. I supported Sharron Angle for goodness’ sake! And as to that whole “the GOP Senate majority is doomed” thing, Rove is now claiming that not only does he think O’Donnell can win, he actually orchestrated sending NRSC money to her campaign.

Here’s the clip:

“My job is not to be a cheerleader for every Republican.”

Rove admitted on Greta that he “consults” aside from role on FoxNews. Suspect Rove needs to discredit O’Donnell who would not pay him to “consult”, goes super-negative in the primary since Castle’s record cannot be defended, now must trash O’Donnell to prevent victory that would diminish his credibility and lose him clients. Same method carried out in Kansas where Moran was vilified by Tiahrt (Rep. Establishment loser) – very negative campaign by Tiahrt despite Moran having more conservative record. Dick Morris tried to mislead viewers/voters by claiming Moran was not conservative and trailing badly in polls, totally false. Thankfully, Jerry Moran won.
Hey FOX – pull these clowns off the air!

Karl, it took me 7 years to pay off my student loan – and that was for one year of college. My mortgage company made a mistake and tried to auction off my home and I had to hire a lawyer to keep it from being sold (the day before the auction!).

Does that mean I am ineligible to run for office? Do I have a “checkered” past?

Greta got it Right last night…now go fix your hair.

Of all people, the “Architect”….(I just gagged)…….should know that a solid, long lasting building
must be built on a solid foundation. This “Architect” must have missed the course on structural integrity. The same rules apply to successful party politics. “We the People” do not want (we’ve said so loudly!) lying, cheating, crooked politicians that openly scam us and constantly flip flop on issues, etc. Rove is a liar and hippocrite……how can he call himself conservative, lead us on with his rhetoric, and then support his ole buddy who is for: stimulus, Cap & Trade, heath care, etc.
We have now seen that Rove is no better, probably worse than many others we all thought were for US. He is only interested in the Chess game of elections, etc……..no concern for “WE the People”.
This man is no longer credible or significant, and certainly can no longer be trusted.

All he had to do was say, “See, the American people are really serious about changing this country. More power to Ms. O’donnell.” But no, he needed to poke a stick in her eye. Well, I guess when you’ve been a poker for as long as he has, it’s just force of habit.

He is pretty much an elitist himself, however, I like him, he made a BIG Mistake, so he has to “suck up” I don‘t think O’Donnell was the best choice to represent tea party values, but she was selected and elected and we’ll all support her.

The far left liberal Democrats will have all the power. We can not let that happen. We have to stand united or else we will fall.

Remember, back in the Summer, when Newt backed the RINO in a NY district instead of the unknown Conservative? This is similar to that. Newt and Karl are aged politicians. They think more about strategy than us pissed off Conservatives who think more about principle. Karl can learn just like Newt has learned to keep his ear more to the ground than in the wind. Both’s opinion is still valuable. They just don’t have the last word; we, the voters, do.

It as really disappointing to hear Rove‘s rantings about O’Donnell. At least we’re now well-informed regarding Rove‘s belief and dedication to the GOP’s “purity” instead of his belief in the will of the American people. I lost all respect for Rove on this one. His personal attacks against O’Donnell were relentless and wholly divisive.

Too bad. For a guy with a brain, he lost more than half of it displaying his hate-filled agenda all over the airwaves yesterday.

Rove never did understand the TEA Party, though. He pretended as if he did, like so many of the GOPers. The voting public, at least the conservative portion, is fully awake and aware. GOPers that don‘t pass the public’s “gut test” won’t be sitting in the seats of power any longer. Rove is a “company” man. Doubtful he’ll ever understand the chasm of difference between “America” and “Washington DC”.

I think he called it as he saw it. Problem is, I don‘t think even Karl has a clue of the brush fire that’s headed Washington’s way. I don’t think any of us realize just how big this thing is. We are seeing something in our lifetime that is unprecedented. I think as the people begin to actually realize we’ve had the power all along, this movement will do nothing but grow. Our biggest challenge is going to be apathy. When positive changes are made and life starts to get comfortable again, we must remain vigilant and never surrender our values and principles as a nation ever again.

He certainly was a “Cheerleader” for that Obama Republican Mike Castle. He just needs to shut up. When have you seen in recent times a liberal democrat pundit stabbing a Democrat in the back? Its okay in this case though at least he’s getting paid for it by Fox. He’s so delicate about his “principles” as a commentator for Fox, but as far as Castles principles as another one of those Rhino’s he had no problems with that. Was Specter worth it? How about those hags up in Maine. They care less about actually changing things in Washington, and more about getting their Chairmanships (in committees) where they at least have power. Castle was in office for 40 Years – that in itself is a crime. Politics should not be a CAREER.

so true… our founders never intended the holding of political office to be a career, but a duty for a short time, then go back to their regular jobs. unfortunately, most of these “career politicians” no nothing about working in the real world. sadly, when they finally retire or get booted out of office, they will most likely receive a tax-payer funded pension for life, then go on the speech circuit (or get tenure in a university) for life and still never know what it is like to work.

Look, Karl has been sucking the hind teat of the Republican Party for many years and many millions of dollars. Fear of the teat running dry prompted his outburst the last few days, but when O’Donnell raised over $1 million in the last 24 hours, he realized he was the mistake, the screw up, the wacky one.
Karl is an old, little establishment fart who is no longer relevant. I watched him and Dana PerRINO saying the say talking points and it was done in a way I have never seen him vocalize. He had a horse in that race and we KNOW that now. He was working for Castle and lost. He is definitely part of the GOP establishment and I will turn offd the TV when he comes on. He has nothing I am interested in. Ditto. Rove was wrong but Rove is a strategist and this is what he does. For too long GOP has been beat to death by the Demonrats who pounce on any little ***** in the chain. They have been brow beaten to not accept any skeletons because they know dems have always been able to capitalize on them.

However, with that said, the Tea Party is changing the face of things and see the dems as corrupt fear mongers who fraud themselves to the top. Unfortunately the GOP is still working in the same old broke machine and they are not sure how to handle the teaparty. It is easy for them and for rove to slip into the same old ways when they feel they need to exercise some leadership. To be completely honest, the teaparty does not always get it right either. aka scott baby rino brown.

So I see this as growing pains. Drop the rove hate and move on. If we were dems we would ignore it and give rove a nobel peace prize. see Rangel for a perfect example. Rove was wrong, but he definably got that message. Take his good parts and lets work together.
