Is Mandatory Participation in Vaccine Trials ‘Not as Outlandish as it Might Seem’?

Two clinical research fellows at the University of Oxford Jenner Institute have suggested in the American Medical Journal of Ethics that requiring people to participate in vaccination trials may not be “as outlandish as it might seem”.
Citing declining numbers of healthy volunteers for vaccine trials, Susanne Sheehy and Joel Meyer coauthor an article in the journal in which they note several examples where countries have instituted mandates requiring citizen participation “for the good of society.”
Sheehy and Meyer write that in the current system, “meager compensation” for volunteers participating in vaccine trials can “belittle and undervalue the contribution of these individuals” and the volunteer demographic is often composed of those in need of money — students and those without jobs are mentioned by the authors. The authors state that this means the risks associated with some vaccines, which could eventually benefit the whole of society, are “carried disproportionately by some of society’s most poor and vulnerable.” The authors also note that increasing payment for trial participation could be seen as unethical.
So, as a solution if recruitment numbers remain low due to low financial incentive, fear of potential vaccine risks and lack of animal models similar to humans, Sheehy and Meyer suggest “compulsory involvement” as an alternative. The authors point to instances where some countries have required action from citizens where the “risks or inconvenience to an individual are usually limited and minor.” Examples they include are jury duty, required military service and some European countries requiring citizens to specifically request their organs not be donated upon death, as opposed to choosing organ donorship. Here’s what the authors say comparing trail participation with military conscription:
In both conscription and obligatory trial participation, individuals have little or no choice regarding involvement and face inherent risks over which they have no control, all for the greater good of society.
Noting several principles against mandating participation in vaccine trials, including self-autonomy, the authors then settle on something they call “a policy of mandated choice”. With such a policy, citizens would be required to opt in or out of participating in vaccine trials in advance. The authors state:
The advantage of this system is that it could identify a large cohort of willing volunteers from which participants could be recruited rapidly without jeopardizing individual autonomy. It would encourage an open, noncoercive philosophy for tackling societal challenges without compromising individual freedom or public trust in the health care system.
As a bit of a sidenote, the authors call to mind how society views vaccines. Sheehy and Meyer believe that society’s view of vaccinations are hampered by “sensationalist and unfounded stories” like that tying the measles-mumps-rubella vaccine with autism, while citizens should view vaccines as taking “once-feared illness out of the public eye.

They have no idea if the vaccines work, dont work or have serious side effects. Therefore because the doctors themselves dont know exactly what the vaccines might do to us I consider them a threat to my life and I will defend my life reguardless of the consequences.

Posted on January 19, 2012 at 3:41pmThe sorry rectum of a Calif Governor Mr. Moonbeam Brown has mandated shots of Guardacil without parental consent . http://www.naturalnews.com/033831_Jerry_Brown_Gardasil.html
All the vaccines mandated to children and many other vaccines as well, including the seasonal flu vaccines being mandated to health care workers, are contaminated with polysorbate 80, the central ingredient in a pharmaceutical industry patent to damage fertility. The pharmaceutical industry has a long history of of seeking a vaccine that would covertly sterilize whole populations So, in addition to being contaminated with cancer and other viruses, and with the bacteria mycoplasma, vaccines are intentionally “contaminated” with a chemical as well, which is, given the patent, a “patently” sought-after sterilizing agent
Gardasil itself is contaminated with a man-made version of the HPV DNA, the very virus it was supposed to protect against, which now it threatens not only altering kids’ healthy DNA with synthetic DNA (!) but with a diseased version.

Posted on January 18, 2012 at 11:00pmActually, this happened in the first gulf war. Soldiers were submitted to vaccines (involuntarily, of course). Despite official denials, this was the cause of great suffering — the so called Gulf War syndrome. You say that once in the military, you have given up your rights. That is not clear. You sign up to protect the country and the constitution, not to be a subject in some immoral medical experiment. The doctors and generals who perpetrated that action should be in prison.
The people who want to force us to take part in such experiments for the good of society, even requiring that we opt out, are simply evil. “The good of society” sounds a bit like Rick Santorum, not Dr. Paul. This is why Glenn is on the wrong horse. Paul would never sacrifice our freedom for the good of society, but I think Santorum would in a heart beat. Is this the “responsibility” Beck has begun to talk about? Are we responsible to participate in this kind of stuff for the good of society? Jefferson would say no, Beck might say yes?

Once again, I am compelled to state that those concerns about vaccines such as the MMR or DaPT or the Hep B are indeed valid, and that those 14 or 16 “studies” that are often cited to support that there are no connections betw these shots and autism (or other neurological or health conditions), are flawed or full of conflicts of interest or paid for. You need to do your research and not just talk to the very biased mainstream medical community pediatricians either.
Search out alternative sources of info such as ageofautism.com, fourteenstudies.org, generationrescue.org, autism.com, or thinktwice.org. Names to check out are Dr. Stephanie Cave, or Dr. Sherry Tenpenny or Dr Mercola. Even mainstream peds such as Dr. Bob Sears advise caution. He even wrote a book on vaccines.
Keep in mind, only a couple of vaccine ingredients have been studied (& not necessarily well either), and only for short term reactions. Also, although there have been no court cases won for those mentioning the word “autism”, money has been awarded for those who still in the end, had autistic kids that became that way because of their shots. Yet some have died, such as Elias Tembennis… look it up.
Report Post »Darlie
Posted on January 18, 2012 at 11:44pmThe reason no court cases have been won is that the doctors with the verifiable evidence end up threatened with retaliation Mafia-style. An attorney I know prosecutes these cases. He had a young female physician from a well-known children’s hospital lined up to give her data. He ended up pulling her off the trial lists because he feared for her life. In his words, he wasn‘t prepared to be responsible for a young woman’s death.

Medication that is almost ready for mass distribution but need more N for statics purposes. Nothing more than that. But…
Then there are those that are 0.9mcg/kg IVPush of E.Coli vs placebo vs Med vs placebo (Double blind with 4 variables) that check the efficacy of a new antiseptic med. The new med is awesome, lifesaver at it’s basic. Did not observe nor hear of any negative outcomes in that study.
