Fetullah Gulen
If you ask Muslim cleric Fetullah Gülen, as well as some former president Clinton, the form of Islam the religious leader is preaching is moderate. It’s completely compatible with the West and especially the U.S. In other words, it’s not radical. But if you ask those who have studied him, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Then you watch some of the videos of him before coming to the U.S. and you’re heart drops. And then you realize that he’s targeting children — and that taxpayers are paying for some of his endeavors.
Gülen, who’s originally from Turkey, came to the U.S. in 1998 for medical reasons. Since then, he’s set up shop on a sprawling 25-acre compound in Saylorsburg, PA. From there, he runs a worldwide Islamic movement. A movement that some say proves he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
“It’s not just a religious movement; it’s the Fetullah Gülen movement. They call themselves that. So it is, you can say, a cult. It is a highly personalized movement,” Ariel Cohen, a Middle East analyst with the Heritage Foundation, told CBN News’s Erick Stakelbeck.
“This is clearly the world according to the Koran, the world according to Islam, the world according to Fetullah Gülen,” he told CBN News. “But what he’s talking about is not the caliphate, is not the sharia state–he calls it the New World Islamic Order.”
Considering some tapes that surfaced after Gülen came to the U.S., that trepidation may be correct. Shortly before leaving Turkey, he had this to say in a secret sermon:
“You must move in the arteries of the system without anyone noticing your existence until you reach all the power centers…You must wait for the time when you are complete and conditions are ripe, until we can shoulder the entire world and carry it…”
“You must wait until such time as you have gotten all the state power, until you have brought to your side all the power of the constitutional institutions in Turkey … Now, I have expressed my feelings and thoughts to you all in confidence. Know that when you leave here — as you discard your empty juice boxes, you must discard the thoughts and the feelings that I expressed here.”
As if that wasn’t worrisome enough, recent documents from Wikileaks show that American officials have been worried Gülen could be targeting children across the U.S. Currently, he runs about 125 Gülen charter schools spread out over 25 states. One of those schools in Philadelphia receives about $3 million annually in taxpayer money. In 2005, one U.S. embassy worker expressed concern about the schools:
“We have multiple reliable reports that the Gülenists use their school network (including dozens of schools in the U.S.) to cherry pick students they think are susceptible to being molded as proselytizers,” U.S. Embassy officials in Ankara said in a 2005 report.
“And we have steadily heard reports about how the schools indoctrinate boarding students,” they said.
Recently, Stakelbeck tried to tour Gülen’s facility and interview the man. He wasn’t allowed direct contact. Still, he talked with plenty of people who are familiar with Gülen’s movement and who say it is far from moderate. You can watch that report below:

This is the exact opposite of how Bin Laden wanted muslims to react when there is conflict. What am I missing here? Do they have a hidden video of Fetullah Gülen with his fingers crossed behind his back when he said this? Do they have a picture of Fetullah Gülen wearing a Bin Laden for President t-shirt? .

Wade through the PR they have on the net and then you will find very interesting things about this man and his many schools. Many of his schools are in Texas, believe it or not. They are in the middle of very conservative cities in Texas, but if you speak against them it is racial. CNN did a short news clip on him and how many reporters in Turkey are in jail,etc because they spoke out about him. It just goes on and on. Just remember, the tax payers are paying for our children to go to these schools.

I didn’t see anything here that advocated violence; heck, even the Heritage Foundation analyst said he isn’t teaching Sharia Law. He has 125 chart schools, but I don’t see those as too different from the multitude of Christian academies and Catholic schools.
He wants to spread his religion; so do Christians. Let them; just not on the tax-payer’s dime (although the report doesn’t mention which of the 1 schools out of 125 receives funding, or why. There could be a legitimate reason for it).

Former Turkish Intelligence Chief Osman Nuri Gundes wrote in his memoir that Fethullah Gulen’s worldwide Islamic movement based in Pennsylvania has been providing cover for the CIA since the mid-1990s, and that in the 90s, the movement used his Madrasas to hid under cover 130 CIA agent in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
Fethullah Gulen is an influential former Turkish imam who has 600 schools and 4 million followers around the world. He imam left Turkey in 1998 and settled in Saylorsburg, Pa., where the movement is headquartered.

I still wish for more facts to be unearthed before reaching a final conclusion. Yet, if he is doing deeds that are under the law treason, sedition or such, and can be held up in court fully; then charge him and let the law decide his fate…which with the current administration means nothing would be done.

Especially regarding ‘125 Gulen Charter School’ claim. Anyone that has a bit of information about US education system would absolutely know that no human beings can own a charter school. They are not private entities. They are owned by our government. So if you want to shoot a poor man, you need to have stronger arguments.
Here you can find an article by two respected academics, Dr. Jon Pahl of The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and Dr. John Raines of Temple University about this guy, Gulen, and published in response to a similar piece like this. Berbel73. I applauded GB when he exposed the 9 most detrimental people to the US over the 20th century.. I wasn’t the one who pointed out that 8 of them were Jews. Liberal Jews did that so now GB must give up his show. He really pissed the Jews off but not intentionally. GB is very misguided. He loves Jews and his Executive Producer is Jewish so now in an attempt to make nice he’s honoring Israel and extolling all things Jewish.. Or shilling for Jews.. He’s just not being very balanced you know? Glenn doesn‘t have much education although he’s well read.
You know they use to teach us to always try to take the opposite side of any argument and attempt to view things from the others point of view.. Although I dont’ like doing that personally, I do find that one typically gains a far more balanced depiction of the actual situation… Know what I mean?

PATTY HENRY, you can’t invent your own facts. The US economy went into a freefall a year before Obama took office, and had reached bottom when he swore the Oath of the Presidency. I understand that you don’t like the President, but the economy was at the absolute bottom when he took office, and has been getting better, slowly for sure, ever since.
Slam the President of the United States all you want. That’s your First Amendment right. But if you just make up irrational nonsence and post it anywhere, expect someone to call you out.
