Is Nancy Pelosi Calling John Boehner a Weepy Crybaby?

In an interview with the New York Times, outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., gave an interesting response to Deborah Soloman’s query about her pending replacement, Rep. John Boehner, R-Ohio.

Pelosi, who once famously teared up in terror over the horrifically scary tea partiers voicing their (gulp) dissenting views at town hall meetings on ObamaCare, seemed to suggest either a) Boehner is a big softy or b) she’s dead inside:

Q: What about John Boehner, the Ohio Republican who is expected to succeed you as House speaker in January? Did you see him tearing up on election night as he addressed his supporters?

PELOSI: You know what? He is known to cry. He cries sometimes when we’re having a debate on bills. If I cry, it’s about the personal loss of a friend or something like that. But when it comes to politics — no, I don’t cry. I would never think of crying about any loss of an office, because that’s always a possibility, and if you’re professional, then you deal with it professionally.

Ouch.

Q: O.K., but you could admit to having deep emotions about your setback in the House.

PELOSI: I have deep emotions about the American people. If I were to cry for anything, I would cry for them and the policies that they’re about to face.

Double ouch.

    Yeah, so Boehner weeped a little. Some if not all our soldiers weep or cry when they lose a fellow soldier/s. Tears are proof that a man is sensitive and humble and thus well rounded.

    At least NOW I see how she can condemn 300M+ human beings, and the remainder of the Western World to misery and death at the hands of socialist care. It’s “just on office”…. she only weeps for “personal friends”, the rest of you can pound sand!

    THEN, she realizes what she’s said, and backtracks (kind of) utilizing the supposed caring portion of the statement as the setup for a backhanded slap at the GOP;

    Quote- “I have deep emotions about the American people. If I were to cry for anything, I would cry for them and the policies that they’re about to face.”

    ….. which TOTALLY contradicts the first statement (but, it sounds good), and notice one more thing, she doesn’t say she has “deep emotions for the American people”…. She says she has “deep emotions about the American people”.

    Interesting, when I care for someone, I say… “I care for” them, I usually use “about” when I’m dissembling.

    Oh, Nancy, Nancy, Nancy—I do weep for you! Where, when, and how did you become so delusional-so separated from the American people? My dear, the American people are facing policies ingeniously woven into the fabric of promoting continuing dependence upon the bloated government. Policies you further validate and wish to continue. I have listened to you on numerous occasions and have a difficult time reconciling your statements to questions asked with any sense of reality. When you cried about the tea party situation–’I remember when the….’ The broken voice, the hesitation, the bordering on, but really unseen tears—–You missed your calling. I bet you could have won an academy award. When did you lose touch with the Constitution? Can you not see those states that are falling off the rails are the most liberal in the nation?       She was born into a political family, her father, her brother and she followed in their footsteps. Born into privilege never knowing anything about the people whose lives they played around with and hurt. She was born cold, unfeeling, and she has no care for the American people. In her socialist mind she thinks she does, but she has no real American bones in her body, just political, elitist, ignorance of what the American people really want. If she did, she would turn the water on and forget the little fish that has kept thousands and thousands of acres of land to become a dust bowl.     Nancy Pelosi cry? To cry you must care, it is axiomatic. It is pretty clear, and has been for a very long time that the only thing Ms. Pelosi cares about is collecting large amounts of cash which her husband and treasurer can squirrel away, and making sure that no one blames her (to her face) for the massive shellacking the Dems just received.
    If she cared about what was best for the party she would have let go of the race for minority leader. If she had cared what was best for the country she would not have treated the House like her personal fiefdom. From military jets to the government picking up her bar bill she has a legacy of “Give Me Mine” which outstrips the most venal men.

They want love, acceptance, and a place where they can “fit in.” They will go to great lengths to achieve a state of belonging. Most children will learn to follow the social “laws” of etiquette and will obey home and classroom rules in order to be accepted. However, some children seek belonging in inappropriate ways. They have mistaken goals that they hope will help them to find acceptance.

      Boehner’s tears, if you watched the clip (http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/heather/crying-john-boehners-mid-term-election-vic), appeared to be authentic, not utilitarian (Clinton) for effect. Each of us is a judge of character. Make your own assessment.

      Mine is, the man who just got re-elected to the House of Representatives, got the impact not just of his on re-election, but of the wave of constitutional conservatives who will be joining him and making him Speaker of the House of Representatives.

      “Its clear tonight who the winners really are, and that the American people. …I have spent my whole life, chasing the American Dream. …”

      Now he will be in a position to preside over one of the most important times of our Republic, when we will see if the “fundamental change in America” promised by Barack Obama will be arrested and reversed.

      The elections of 2010 give us hope that something can be done.

      Walkwithme1966: Calling Nancy Pelosi an effective Speaker of the House is a utilitarian statement, “the ends justifies the means”. In Pelosi’s case, the end was a passage of health care bill (no mater whether jumping over the wall, pole vauting, or parachuting in). The means was completely trashing the constitutional process of vetting by committee hearings, debating particulars to determine their merit, seeking consensus on different aspects of the bill, or for that matter just simply READING the bill!. “We have to pass the bill, so we can see what is in it.” A bill likely written by the Appollo project, Center for American Progress, and other progressive groups.

      Americans don’t want this bill, but “progressives know better”. The massive political shift in the 2010 elections is a result of the silent majority of Americans waking up and saying We The People will NOT have the progressive agenda shoved down our throats.

      So, WalkWithMe1966, your pragmatic assessment of the effectiveness of the speaker has no relation to the oath she took to uphold the constitution of the United States. I still am dumbfounded that a Speaker of the House could say, “we have to pass it…. to know what is in it”. The implications of that statement are staggering. BUT, if you are committed to the fundamental transformation of America and to abandoning the vision of limited government it stands for, then of course you will think she is a great speaker.

      So there we have the dividing line and the battle for the soul of America. The progressive eutopian vision is hitting the wall with escalating deficits. Bigger and bigger government is unsustainable. No serious economist says anything different. IN a way, our current national crisis is a gift to us. The American people have woken up, and are starting to think about these things, like I have never seen it in my 59 years (b1951). They are finally starting to see where the century of progressivism President Wilson started us on in 1913 is taking us. We who love the founders believe we have to reverse the dependency on Government, or soon All of our liberties will have been taken away for “the common good”. For all those who remember reading Orwell’s 1984, join me in getting a bumper sticker that says, “2+2=4″. It is a revolutionary statement.

      My opinion is that Pelosi has negative emotions. Boehner has “normal” emotions. Good memories of victories and defeats in a person’s life, and family memories bring out normal emotions. If Mrs. Pelosi showed too much emotion, her artificial face would crack.

      Pelosi represents one major sympton of the elitist holdings of DC. In as much that she shows a total lack of empathy and connection to the will and ideals of the People of America.       You don’t know what you are talking about. If I ever find myself agreeing with you, I know that I will be mistaken. Christ taught people to “Love thy Neighbor” and he ministered to ALL people, not just the poor. Muslims hate their neighbors unless they are Muslim and Christ’s teachings “The poor will always be with us” can only be true if their are people of means to help them. If their are no people of means then the poor will starve.

      Polwatcher, you say “Muslims hate their neighbors.” How many Muslims do you know? How many Muslims can you even name? (hint: KSM, can you give me another one). So based on your utter lack of any knowledge except the Muslim hate you read here, you make the generalization that all 1 billion Muslims in the world “hate their neighbors?” That sort of gross over generalization (“all jews are bad”) has led to many problems in the world. And you are part of the problem, not the solution. And your understanding of the words of Christ are shallow.

      Pelosi has been trying to brag about something she has done and ignore reality.
      I guess this is the best she could do in the realm of reality. “I don’t cry like Boehner”.
      Big deal! Is she trying to tell us she is more of a man than Boehner? Or that she used to be a man before the operation?

      I have worked with many very fine Muslims. You twist what I said. There are some Muslims who do not hate non Muslims. However, these Muslims are not true believer in the Mohammed sense of the word. The true believer are the ones that are taught to hate all non Muslims. They account for about 15% of the Muslim population. True Muslims hate all non Muslims and particularily Jews..

      PELOSI: I have deep emotions about the American people. If I were to cry for anything, I would cry for them and the policies that they’re about to face.

      I really think she hates everyone in flyover country. I wish I was a smart as Pelosi and Obama, I really can’t stand not understanding their agenda.

      Pelosi doesn’t have any tear ducts left since they were removed during plastic surgery. If you hear a shreaky noise coming from the room she‘s in it’s either her talking or crying. She never had the challenges the new speaker had to overcome to get where he is. She has been a spoiled brat her whole life & it shows in the way she acts as speaker, talking policy & what she really thinks of all Americans. She is my Woodrow Wilson. It’s a shame she still represents any portion of America & should be thrown out with the bath water.
