Is Newt Gingrich Set to Board the ‘Cain Train’ as VP?

Despite the lingering questions about a sexual harassment suit from the 1990s and holes in Herman Cain’s foreign policy knowledge that some call worrisome, the “Cain Train” appears to be picking up speed.

On Monday, Herman Cain was making plans beyond the primary season and discussed those plans with talk radio host Simon Conway of WHO News Talk Radio 1040. He even addressed a possible Cain – Gingrich ticket, saying Gingrich is “looking well:”

Cain and Gingrich will also be seen together on a stage in Texas this weekend. The Texas Tea Party Patriots are sponsoring a “debate-discussion” that has been compared to the Lincoln-Douglas debates.

Will Gingrich be Cains Vice President?

Is this a preview of the 2012 GOP ticket? Or possibly an independent, third party ticket?

I support Cain 100%, all of us have had problems in our past because no one is perfect. I wish the GOP establishment would get off of his back, it seems they would rather have Romney the RINO. That being said I think 9-9-9 does not go far enough, below is what I wish he would push for:

A Straight Forward, BOLD, OUT of the BOX solution to our Nation’s Fiscal Policy

    1) Shift 100% of tax collection from the Federal Government to individual State Governments, (as originally outlined in the Constitution and upheld by the Supreme Court on multiple occasions before the 1900’s)

    2) Delegate more than 70% of the federal governments spending to state governments (e.g., Health and Human Services, Housing, Education, Energy, Agriculture, Labor, Social Security, entitlements, etc..)

    3) States would provide the federal government with enough money to cover the spending not previously delegated to individual states (e.g., National Defense, Foreign Diplomacy, and other items originally outlined in the Constitution)

    4) Each state would be responsible for a percentage of the federal government’s spending based on state’s population

Let’s put the “s” back at the end of the United State’s’

The problem I have with Gingrich is that he supports eliminating the Capital Gains Tax. Don’t get me wrong I am for eliminating the Capital Gains tax, but that is not the cure all. Most working middle class folks are working to make ends meet, they don’t play the stock market, so cutting that tax does nothing for those that don’t play. As I have said before, the Federal Government should not be in the Tax collection buisness that includes all forms of taxation. That should be left to the state.

    I say, ” LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN”…

Either way…Cain & Gingrich OR Gingrich & Cain.

REMEMBER THE GOAL IS TO “ BEAT OBAMA”.

And, in a Debate – WHO could do that?

Romney? NO! It would be like OBAMA vs. Obama – and OBAMA would win.
    Ron Paul? HAHAHAHA – NO!
    Huntsman? WHO? OK…NO!
Perry? In a DEBATE- NO! In a FIST FIGHT, YES!
    Bachmann? Maybe!
But, she would ULTIMATELY lose due to a LAST MINUTE OBAMA DIRTY TRICK.

    And – ONCE IT’S OVER – IT’S OVER! DONE!

I like Herman AND – HE NEEDS TO KEEP THE LEAD.
BUT- NEWT COULD TAKE DOWN OBAMA!

The IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER IS:
We MAY have to pass the ball TO THE NEXT BEST RUNNER…
    BUT…
THE ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO GET THE BALL OVER THE LINE…FOR THE WIN!

Regardless, we can not support a third party because it will split the republican vote and Obama (or Hillary) will defeat us. If we are able to have an election in 2012, we have to get the progressives out of power. That doesn’t mean that they will sit quietly in the shadows. Our job will only begin. If our party does not represent us while holding office then we need to start early on developing a third party that will. To do it now would give the dems the election. However if our candidates promises to the American people are ignored and they become caught up in the Washington greed and corruption we have to continue to organize and stop it. As conservatives we must work together to prevent any future damage to our constitution, and our rights as citizens of The United States. I would like to see a written agreement to the American People that we can hold those elected accountable to . If they fail then we should have the right to remove them if necessary before their term of office is completed. We need to have access to their voting records, and this should be posted and made available ( as should each bill ) If we are organized we would have highly qualified individuals to review the results and share them with the voters. Their actions while in office will be what they are judged on not whether or not they are charismatic or financially backed by organazations with power. We have the right to demand this of them. There has to be limits for all campaign donations.

You don’t seriously think the “professor of Constitutional Law” in the White House would EVER agree to debate EITHER Cain or Gingrich, do you? They’d turn him every which way but loose, and his teleprompter would not save him! Of course with his ego, and his love of the TV cameras, he MIGHT be deluded enough to believe he could pull it off. He would wipe the floor with Obama in a debate and has plans to undo all of Obama’s executive orders and repeal Obamacare and would get rid of all the Czars.. He is by far the most experienced and intelligent candidate we have. Go to his web site and check out his plan. His concern, first and foremost, is to eliminate the tax code, the IRS and reduce the size/burden of government. No President could simply banish the Fed Reserve. It will be a lengthy process to change the monetary policy. Like Obama spending his first 2 years getting Obamacare, changing monetary policy would take all of the 4 years. Cain wants to get the economy back on track and reduce government spending first.

Unless we take our medicine and go back on the gold standard we will see inflation forever. No way to stop it.

The biggest problem is hyperinflation. We are starting to see a tiny bit of that now, but one day we will wake up and the Biblical passage that screams a days wages for a loaf of bread will be true. Cain can’t stop it, Demint can’t stop it, Ron Paul can’t stop it from happening…No one can.

“As allegations of sexual harassment from the 1990‘s continue to loom over Herman Cain’s campaign this week, the GOP frontrunner is also raising eyebrows with his foreign policy remarks.

In an interview Monday, Cain said part of China’s threat to the United States stems from its attempts to develop nuclear weapons — even though China tested its first nuclear weaponin 1964.

The correct choice in 2012 and a Republican controlled House and Senate could send our recovery into warp speed. If we lose the House or fail to gain control of the Senate, then yeah, 2012 elections will not solve our problems. That is why 2012 is about so much more than just the President. We have to focus not only on the right President, but also on Congressional races as well.

Even if Obama is re-elected, we could effectively neutralize him if we can gain control of both the Senate and the House… Unfortunately we will be defenseless against ObamaCare if we don’t get rid of Obama.

Cain hasn’t pandered to the Evangelicals or neocons. He is where he is because people have watched him and started makig up their minds. Stop crying and find a way to help get rid of Obama, without going establishment Republican or progressive.

I agree Carolina. I suggested this last year and I don‘t understand why candidates don’t do it. If you do it now, you then get all of the “dirty laundry” out in the open a year before the election. The benefit will also be to show the country you have a plan and you can hit the ground running and not wait a few months like most POTUS do. My ideal “dream team”
      Pres – Cain
      VP – Newt
      SOS – Huckabee
      Sec of Def – Duncan
      Sec of Treasure – Bachman

I’m on board. Herman could not have a more perfect partner.

To be a ticket, wouldn’t they have to be from separate states? As far as I know, both Cain & Gingrich are from Georgia.

Herman and Newt have known each other for years. Any competition is simply that…competition.
