well, attn rovinrobbin, the cairo uprising april of 2011,if aging memory serves, commenced riots, furious reactions from mubaraks cops, secret police,CNNs nick robertsons interview of 5 or 6 ‘men in the street’
on how the felt about obamas’ role in the democracy movement, all 5 denied obama,or his‘leadership’ had any role at all,,,,,,robertson dutifully lied, testifying to obamas role in promoting democracy in egypt.

the muslim brother hood was the fuel that drove one of al sadats 3d army to bolt from the passing truck in the presidential review celebrating the 73 war,and spray sadat and others with K 47 gunfire..
among the news nets,NONE OF THEM,till december 2011 on PBS,thought to dig up the pertinent poop on
the muslim brotherhood, they were a problem for hafez assad in 82,in hama.aleppo,alkuneitra.
If among the younger crew, the brotherhood wish for a peaceful constitutional government, make them acknowledge the past, demonstrate they want to mend their evil ways.
then,,,we do as al sadat did with israel , the treaty was the reason he was killed, his nation had born the brunt of the wars with israel, enough of this ‘peace resulted, and lasted for 30 years.
If the ONE AND ONLY issue for the brohood is war on israel, nuts to em.
like the beatles said,‘money caint buy me love’,,,,no one else either
obama gavem BILLION$,YEAH gee this worked real good on chgos se side,,
    bribes

I haven’t watched this yet but will. However, the question is moot. I work in Doha, Qatar and an egyptian friend of mine tells me she now dons the head to toe abaya cover up when she goes home to Cairo for a visit. It’s not yet law, but she’s afraid to go around without it on…afraid the extreme musloids will attack her if she wears western clothing.

It’s a real shame. This woman is a professional geophysicist working for a major oil company, and she’s being set up to be treated like cattle in her home country.

I object to the term “right turn.”

A basic tenet of the right is individual assuming responsiblity for his actions and less restriction and interference by government. Libertarians especially want the government to butt out. Sha’ria allows the government to interfere on a massive scale–even governing how you worship your God. Hence, my objection.

A more appropriate adjective for this headline would be a “repressive turn.”
