Is That Really Morgan Freeman In a New GOP Ad?

The idea may sound absurd: Morgan Freeman narrating an attack ad for a GOP congressional hopeful. But according to the candidate, that idea could be closer to reality than you think.
In a new ad for B.J. Lawson in North Carolina’s fourth district, constituents can hear the voice of someone sounding like Academy Award-nominated actor Morgan Freeman attacking incumbent David Price’s ability to connect with voters. “He’s forgotten the values that make this country great,” the characteristic Freeman voice says, as the text “He’s fallen out of touch” appears on the screen.
To the naked ear, the narrator and Freeman are one. But the idea that Freeman would sign on to the project is puzzling. In 2007 he endorsed Barack Obama for president, likening him to JFK. In January 2009 he even wrote a fundraising e-mail for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, imploring readers to support Democratic candidates.
“The DSCC has already begun the crucial work of recruiting the best candidates to make sure President Obama has strong Senate support throughout his first term,” Freeman said in the e-mail. “Starting strong today is essential to victory on Election Day. And they need our support now to do it right.”
So it comes as no surprise that Lawson’s supporters were skeptical. On his Facebook page, they questioned if it was really Freeman in the ad.
“So it actually is Morgan Freeman?!?” wrote Gloria. Matthew added, “I don’t really think its Morgan Freeman, but it sure sounds really close.”
That skepticism is even more understandable considering the controversy surrounding another GOP ad earlier this month. In Wisconsin, an ad ran supporting the GOP’s gubernatorial candidate, and the narrator was a dead ringer for Freeman. Yet later it was revealed the narrator was only a Freeman imitator (which the candidate’s campaign says was pure coincidence):
So does Lawson’s ad feature the real Morgan Freeman. According to Lawson, yes:
The video Lawson refers to is below. Can you tell the difference between the real and the fake?:

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 10:15pmIt might interest you all to know that George III of England became insane and his son the Prince of Wales (who later became George IV) was the regent for nine years during his father’s insanity. I guess he had a hard time dealing with the fact that Americans won their independence from him. LOL I wonder if the progressives left that in the history books!

Posted on November 1, 2010 at 12:58amThey didn’t leave in any facts that many Irish and Scots came over as indentured servants, exiled for trumped up crimes committed, or just plain slaves. Why is it only the blacks feel their people were slaves. They had the same segregation laws against the Irish.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 10:12pmI listened first and could discern a difference in cadence between Freeman and the second (Wisconsin) ad. However, the voice in the first ad (Lawson) I thought sounded virtually indistinguishable.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 9:47pmWhoever is reading our Declaration of Independence is irrelevant. Listen to the words, the charges, levied against the King of England. Is not our current government/administration guilty of the same charges? It is the right of the people to overthrow the illegitimate tyranny. We the people have been ignored. It is time to take back our freedom peacefully by voting & through prayer. We will not stand for tyranny. LISTEN TO THE CHARGES and act.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 9:37pmHearing them read the Declaration Of Independence was so beautiful it made me cry. It is a perfect statement reflecting why so many Americans are passionate about defeating the liberal agenda of inflating the federal government to a point where our very future is threatened by tyranny once again. God Bless the U.S.A.

Posted on November 1, 2010 at 3:35amI fully expected to see the liberals among the readers heads to catch on fire. The fact that most of the actors no more believe in this great Document than they do Dr. Suess is amazing. Actors are actors. They read whatever they are told and will do whatever it takes to make a buck. Do not forget that one of the most played versions of our National Anthem was sung by a crackhead.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 9:14pmIf they do start using sound alike in ads just think of what problems a Glenn sound alike or a Rush sound alike could do in some scripted “leaked” voice mail. But, they are not that smart. If they where they would have modified the tape with that word yelled 15 times to be heard and spread it everywhere. Only Glenn uses their real voice to pull back the curtain. They would have no problem using a fake voice to attack.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 10:56pmWhy do people insist on calling our country a democracy or a democratic republic. To say we are a a democracy would be the same as saying we are a country based on the power of men or mob rule. We are a constitutional republic we are a country based on the rule of law not the rule of man.

Posted on November 1, 2010 at 12:39amif you were morgan freeman, and hoped one day that one of your grandkids might be POTUS, even if you did vote for Obama, do you really think you’d be supporting him today?
Every “real” black man in america, knows Obama, is WHITE!…… perhaps, mr freeman has realised the racist side of Obama’s politics, you know, the fact that his own mother hated white people, and taught him accordingly!
heres the story of as real black man, who loves his country, who is not racist, and who wants to do his part to help.
New book takes on political change in the U.S. — ‘Black Man Hates Obama: The Views of a Conservative, Patriotic Black Man’
Edited by Angela Polchat-Ferris
Published on Mon, 11 Oct 2010 — 11:03:53 +0000 UTCNo Comment.PHOENIX, Ariz. /Publishers Newswire/ — In response, and in defiance to YouTube and Facebook account cancellations, the author calling himself “RainMan” has penned “Black Man Hates Obama” (ISBN: 978-1450730006; Conspiracy Productions) to express his frustration at what he feels is “warranted opposition towards the recklessness of the ‘Obama Reign of Terror.’”
When asked if he felt that as a black man, it is taboo to speak against the first black President, RainMan replied, “Usually outside of the confines of the ‘black wall’ most blacks will remain mute in the company of non-blacks, regardless of the first black President’s detrimental actions — but I am an iconoclast with a bohemian twist who is not pusillanimous to be a Black Maverick for my country, and my Patriotic heart must speak out. And now is the time.”
Although the entire book is written somewhat malcontentedly, the more controversial chapters include, “No Black Leaders to Admire,“ where RainMan condemns ”the black elitists for conspiring with an avowed racist white woman named Margaret Sanger to commit a heinous attack upon their own race, by encouraging blacks to abort their babies through eugenics.”
In “Michelle His Belle the Racist Woman Behind the Muppet,“ RainMan unearths the ”unadulterated bigotry and race baiting techniques of ‘The First Lady,’” and her role as a Chicago Medical Center Community Relations VP. “Scary.”
In “Black Nationalist/Black Liberation Theology,“ RainMan expounds on ”this subjugating doctrine which exploits the black community and keeps them shackled mentally, emotionally, and financially.”
In “The Democratic Party is Not the Party for Blacks,” RainMan takes the reader into the not so distant past, where he utilizes documented proof of the “Democratic Party’s reluctance to permit blacks the opportunity to obtain Civil Rights, and the Republican Party’s conviction to make Congress abolish Slavery.”
RainMan is not afraid to walk the lonely road of Black Conservatism. He does not mince his words, and he provides solid proof to back up his premises.
You will NOT be able to put this book down. “Get it before Obama burns it!”
