Is the Muslim Brotherhood Infiltrating the American Government?

Muslim Brotherhoods Potential Influence in America is ConcerningOver the past few months, the Blaze has explored the Muslim Brotherhood’s increasing influence here in America and abroad. This week, CBN’s Erick Stakelbeck produced a new report that touts the shocking allegation that the radical group has already begun working its way into the American government.

Stakelbeck describes the Brotherhood as “the first modern terrorists and the forerunner of al-Qaeda.” Following 9/11, the al-Qaeda became somewhat of a household name in the United States. But while most Americans are familiar with the infamous radical Islamic cohort, many likely don’t know a great deal about the Brotherhood.

Below, watch Stakelbeck’s most recent news report, which makes a number of startling claims about the group’s apparent goals and mission here in America:

Following the Arab Spring, which has led to intense turmoil as well as the uprooting of governmental structures in the Middle East, the Brotherhood has purportedly used unrest to gain precedence in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Syria and Jordan. In his report, Stakelbeck discussed the notion that America is on the list of governmental targets that the Islamist group seeks to infiltrate.

Former FBI Special Agent John Guandolo explains that the Brotherhood is already ensuring that its influence and power seeps into American government. ”Their goal is primarily deception, manipulation and intelligence gathering,” Guandolo says. He continues:

“What we’re seeing not just inside the White House, but inside the government entities, the national security entities, the State Department — is a strong push by the Muslim Brotherhood to get their people not just into operational positions, but policy positions — deeper, long term, bureaucratic positions.”

According to Guandalo, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) is one of the operatives working here in America. As Stakelbeck reports:

In 2007, ISNA was named as an un-indicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing trial in American history.

Likewise, the FBI has uncovered internal Muslim Brotherhood documents naming ISNA as “one of our organizations and the organizations of our friends.”

If true, this would certainly be concerning. At his inauguration, President Barack Obama asked former ISNA president Ingrid Mattson to deliver a prayer. Additionally, at a recent White House dinner, Stakelbeck writes that the current head of ISNA, Mohammed Majid, sat only feet away from the president. Oddly, Patrick Poole of Pajamas Media claims that Majid’s name was subsequently missing from the White House list of attendees.

CBN and Stakelbeck have covered the Brotherhood and its thirst for power before. Last month, the network did a special, which included interviews with both Guandolo and Poole. Watch the video, below:

As the Blaze has been reporting for months, the Brotherhood is seeking a prominent role in Egyptian politics following the fall of Hosni Mubarak. Some who are associated with the political party have also been calling for Israel to be punished. Glenn Beck, among others, has warned about the Brotherhood’s potential exploitation of the situation in the Middle East many times before.

Back in June, the Blaze reported on the Obama administration’s outreach to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Though it has been described as “limited” in nature, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has said that the administration wants to engage every group in the region, so long as they espouse nonviolence.

And in August, the Blaze brought you self-described liberal Marxist Tarek Fatah‘s warning about the group’s attempt to embed itself in American government. He said, “Instead of bringing victory over the fascist forces of the Muslim Brotherhood, we now recognize that their infiltration is right up to the American White House, but we can’t say that.”

      Names, please. We have one named in this article who is apparently a political flunky of an unindicted group associated with the Muslim Brotherhood, but according to the allegations here there are many more already here with positions in the government. So name the names of the people now in elected positions who are covert Muslim Brotherhood operatives, show the proof, and bring it to light.

      I tire of “investigations” that claim shadowy members are trying to take down America from within without anyone actually talking about the members or the exact actions they’re taking to do so. It’s what the government has done for a decade: deceive the people, keep them afraid; and it’s why the government has almost no credibility now (see all the controversy with this guy who supposedly hired a hitman on orders from the government of Iran). No, name our boogeymen, tell us what they’re planning, and go after them. Show you‘re better than the government you’re railing against.

      Remember Rep. anthony weiner? His wife huma abeden (a muslim) is(sec. of state) Hillarys‘ chief of staff and humas’ mother and brother are members of the brotherhood-there’s also a “sisterhood” in the middle east. How sweet for the brotherhood-to know what our state dept. is going to do.
      Something is really weird here too: huma the muslim married to weiner, a jew. The muslims forbid this-but look the other way to get inside info.

      Baby steps. Always baby steps. To just blatantly jump into the spotlight is not the way these Islamists work. Not in a Democratic Republic. They will bide their time, keep getting their’s into positions of power just like the Woodstock Crowd has done. These guys think in decades to achieve an agenda. Not the instant gratification. Look at Europe. Muslim’s will be so large, population, they will have veto power within most of Europe’s Countries in a few short years. No need for violence to take over. They will do it in numbers.       We have forced them to remove their recruiting posters for Islam from out train stations and the sides of our buses here in Dallas. I called the police to stop them from handing out brochures at the West End DART station in downtown Dallas. They are everywhere … all the literature I’ve read predicts this, but I am very surprised that they got to the WH this quickly.

      @LOCKED..As I understand this..Elena Kagan is the Pro SHaria Law advocator who was so on I believe “the Harvard Review” and whom I believe represented Obama 8 times on his “legitimacy” cases, and who I believe somehow supported and advocated Sharia in places of the middle east such as Afganistan. and whom Obama appointed to the Supreme Court. Linsey Graham , the GOP senator of South Carolina bares looking into..then I remember Al Franken going to the middle east and offering between 300 and 350 jobs in government to muslims. There are many muslim judges as I understand, then of course you have the President and his cabinet and Czars which I understand many are pro-sharia.. then look at the financial institutions where all that TARP money went that were Sharia compliant meaning they give 2.5 % of all investments each year and 7% fines if they break any Sharia Laws. This money funds Sharia. I can’t find the info you asked for. Would imagine it would be hard to find

      I think this was planned from the beginning. Obama has to be a plant. Much of his money comes from foreign sources, bundled from Middle East wire transfers, money cards given out to muslims, who donate most of it, but keep some for themselves for doing it. Obama learned a lot of this financial deception from his mother. I think, after a Republican gets elected, that a list were made and loyalty reviews of Federal employees were performed. I’m not sure that HUAC still exists, but if not, we need to recreate one and investigate.

      The muslim brotherhood is a great civil rights movement started to defend indigenous muslims when colonial powers carved the mid east for it’s benefit at the expense of the native people. pan arabism or pan caliphate is a natural response to colonialism.       This is why you must write/e-mail your Senators and Representatives to DEMAND that the Democratic Nominating Committee PROVE with a valid birth certificate any and all candidates for election – especially the current President – BEFORE the next election. That piece of paper the White House released as his birth certificate is not a VALID one – it is an information sheet and poorly “fixed” if I might add. That so-called birth certificate did not have a “seal” of the State of Hawaii on it and would not be able to be used to get a drivers’ license renewal in the State of NJ, not to mention the fact that he never legally changed his name from Barry whatever.
      This administration is the greatest fraud dumped on the American People.

      Hey, “LOCKED!” For starters, the lame-stream press either doesn‘t think there’s anything going on (with Muslims having ties to radical elements of Islam) with infiltration of America’s higher-government departments and such, or they just plain don’t care; secondly, the evidence–and the report is pretty clear to the rest of us who actually THINK and make fair and logical deductions–is there against the Obama administration full-out knowing the dangers and affiliations of radical Islam, but–as you’ll have to arrive at your own conclusions why they (Obama people in D.C.) behave the way they do–Obama and his folks seemingly WANT this (Muslim Brotherhood and HAMAS) element of Islam and international terrorism HAVING an outright voice and influence inside America’s government and most secure (as the FBI) installations. Scary stuff, indeed! I do not subscribe to the opinion that the president is ignorant to what’s going on here; rather, I would suggest that, for whatever the reason, he’d like nothing else than to see our American way of life, culture and global influence not only diminished, but ultimately made null and void (exactly why, you tell me).

The tree of libery in america has rotted from the inside out and there will be (as Glenn has predicted) social upheaval.     Of course, the Muslim Brotherhood, Unions, Code Pink, Media Matters, George Soros, the executive branch, ad nauseum are working together (along with the Mexican drug cartels on the weapons issue) to bring this country down so that they can come to power. The problem with this is – the ideology of all these people and groups is anti American. The Muslim Brotherhood will turn against all these groups once power in America is obtained. Let the be-headings begin. My advice is run like he** Unions, Code Pink, Media Matters, George Soros, executive branch-they will come for you guys first.
