Is This the Worst Dream Act Speech Ever?

I have to admit, this is painful. But what more can you expect from a group of college students who paint their faces and read from crinkled up notebook paper?
Below is a video of a recent rally at Napa Valley College in support of the Dream Act — a bill that would essentially create a way for illegal aliens to become citizens. The students below want it passed, and are railing against any proposed changes. Officially the students called their little gathering a “die in.”
Some of the gems you’ll find:
- The Democrats control “both Senates.”
- The Dream Act wants to deport those “starving” on “three slices of pizza”
- The Republicans have taken over “one of the houses”
- A “right” to education
- The obligatory call and response: “What do we want? — The Dream Act! When do we want it? — Now!”
All that makes the line “Let’s make this congress scared of us” — the phrase worming its way through the internet — almost laughable. You’ll probably want to watch the whole thing, but in the same way you just can’t turn away from a train wreck:

I dream that we seal our borders, and only allow in legal aliens, who want to become citizens. I dream that the people responsible for “safe zone” cities are arrested and charged with treason. I dream that our government do exactly what it is allowed to do by our Constitution, and no more.

Many of the African’s that were shipped here by “white men” were brought here by hispanic captains(portugese , spanish, ) and french captain‘s and yes white captain’s. For the most part they were rounded up in Africa by Black tribal competitors to steal their women, lands and wealth. Same old “white guy” greed. Re; the fence Most Mexican laborers used to come here for the field work jobs then go back to Mexico. As Mexico became more socialist and job’s scarcer they stayed here in order to feed their families. Young,middle , old “White guy’s are the majority of people who established this country with their Blood. The Revolutionary War, Civil War, War of 1812, Spanish American War, WWi, WWII, were all fought to free people by these “White Guy’s”. Spare us “Old White Guy’s” your version of history as obviously missed a few classes while chugging your Jager shots

Why is it the same profile students are at these rallys? Do they have enough volunteers at the food banks or homeless shelters that they waste C02 with their dribble. I wonder how much the 20 people who were there got paid as none of them appear to be very passionate about what they are saying.

Posted on December 7, 2010 at 7:55amThe DREAM Act would provide for possible citizen ship for anyone that was brought to this country before their 16th birthday, who either graduated from college (or it’s equivalent) OR served in the military honorably AND has not gotten in trouble with the law.
Sounds nice, but here’s a few insights:
1) The issue is how old an individual was when they came to this country – there is no upper age limit.
2) The definition of not getting into trouble with the law loosely translates to “never got caught, and will give you a pass on Federal Immigration law”.
3) One of their arguments is that they can’t get a white collar job using the college degree they earned in America – they never seem to consider taking their education back to their home country.
4) Many (not all, but many) illegals get private or state aid to allow them to afford college education, often to a greater extent than most American citizens – their way of saying thank you is to “demand” citizenship, so they can take American white collar jobs too.
5) There are now, last I checked, four different versions of the DREAM Act – this has been kicked around by Dems for the last 9 years, and still supporters think it will happen NOW.
6) The DREAM ACT flies in the face of every argument the left have made against piecemeal immigration reform – by only addressing a certain subset of all illegal immigrants, the DREAM Act is the very definition of piecemeal immigration reform, yet Democrats argue that we need COMPREHENSIVE immigration reform. How can a Senator/Congressman be against piecemeal reform, support comprehensive immigration reform, and then be in support of the DREAM Act?
I wonder when DREAM Act supporters will realize that this isn’t actually going to happen?

I love the (utter lack of) passion in the rally “organizers” – especially the starbucks-drinking “human sign” in the “illegal” backdrop.
I love how they feel illegals deserve in-state tuition rates, despite the fact that those rates are reserved for tax-paying residents of the state, not those who either don’t pay taxes (by working off the books) or who fraudulently use someone elses identity and pay taxes…
“Free Education” – you had it, it was called K-12. Higher education is YOUR responsibility, not a prize won by those whose parents brought them across the border before they turned 16 years old…

Sometimes armed resistance is discussed and I ask them if they really believe they could stand up to the might and technology of the U.S. Military with only rifles and small arms and I’m usually instructed that the soldiers would never turn on their own citizens. To some extent, I believe that to be true. Some would refuse and I’m not sure what the repercussions would be. But ask yourself this question: Would an immigrant from Mexico or any other South American country have a problem obeying those orders?
