‘Islam Is a Religion of War’: Grandson of Hamas Founder to ‘Expose the Life of Muhammed’ in New Film

Grandson of Hamas Founder Mosab Hassan Yousef to Make Film to Exposing the Life of Muhammed and Islam

Mosab Hassan Yousef (Source: Jerusalem Post TV)

In 1978, Mosab Hassan Yousef was born to the son of one of Hamas’* seven original founders, Sheikh Hassan Yousef. Growing up, Yousef was raised on radical Islamic values and it seemed almost certain that he would follow in his father’s footsteps and proudly become a terrorist.

But sometimes the apple really does fall far from the tree.

As the years went by, Yousef began questioning the ideology that his father and members of Hamas lived by and eventually decided terrorism could not be the answer. After rejecting the designated terrorist group, he converted to Christianity and became an agent for Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security service, where he helped prevent terrorist attacks and put Hamas operatives behind bars.

In 2007, Yousef was granted political asylum in the U.S. and has been living here ever since. However, his mission to expose radical Islam is just beginning.

The Jerusalem Post reports the former Israeli spy and author of “Son of Hamas” made a surprise visit to Israel last month for the first time since 2007. While in the country, he spoke with the Post and explained why he believes “Islam is a religion of war.”

Yousef said only 300 million out of 1.6 billion Muslims actually “understand the language of Koran.” The ones that truly comprehend the teachings of Muhammad, he explained, feel an obligation to carry out his teachings and sometimes that means committing acts of violence and many times murder.

He also said Islam is more than just a religion for many Muslims – “it is an identity and culture, it is everything they know.” He wants to create a dialogue for average Muslims to reexamine their faith and some of the ideologies they may have been raised on.

Grandson of Hamas Founder Mosab Hassan Yousef to Make Film to Exposing the Life of Muhammed and Islam

“It is time to expose the life of Muhammad,” Yousef said boldly.

He plans on doing this by putting together a feature film to objectively examine the life of Muhammad — an extremely dangerous undertaking as depicting Muhammad is forbidden under Islam and will likely mark him for death in some radical circles. As the Jerusalem Post points out, the Danish cartoon maker who dared to draw Muhammad was bombarded with death threats from furious Muslims and the controversy ultimately resulted in over 100 deaths.

Now, Yousef wants to take it up several notches and portray Muhammad on the big screen. But he says the risk is worth it.

“We are not trying to offend Muslims, we’re trying to bring the truth,” he told the Jerusalem Post. “If this suicide bomber who is trying to kill many people is motivated by that ideology, I would love to seed [sic] doubt in his head, at least to be able to question before he goes to commit suicide.”

(Related: Did the Prophet Muhammad Really Exist? This is Robert Spencer’s Shocking Answer)

Yousef said he is currently looking for investors and collaborators to help put the movie together.

Watch Yousef’s entire interview with Jerusalem Post TV here:

Yousef said the idea for the film came to him after having a conversation about Muhammad with his sister, who he said was in “denial” and refused to accept “solid facts.”

“I love her and I was trying to help her see that tho is not a good way for her life. She could not see that.”

Yousef added he is unable to speak rationally with his own siblings because they have essentially disowned him due of his abandonment of Islam. His brothers and sisters saw him as a father figure when they were young, he explained,  mostly due to the fact their real father was gone most of the time fighting for Hamas.

“It really breaks my heart I can’t talk to them,” said Yousef. “I think this a time for Arabs [to] start to understand the importance of freedom, the importance of human life, what makes us different from animals, that we have the right to choose.”

Yousef is not trying to change the minds of radical Muslims anyhow. Once again, he is appealing to the everyday Muslim and hopes to convince them to evaluate their own religious beliefs in an objective way.

“Today we have this powerful medium and the new generation can watch and see and make a judgment. They are looking for a difference in their life – they are looking for a better future. Let’s help them,” he added.

While he acknowledges the potential danger of making a film about Muhammad, he says he is not afraid.

“There is nothing to be afraid about. We’re doing the right thing and we do it not through the power of conviction or the power of opinion, but through the power of truth.”

*Founded in 1987, Hamas is an Islamic terrorist organization whose base of operations is primarily concentrated in the Gaza Strip and some areas of Judea and Samaria (otherwise known as the West Bank). An Arabic acronym for “Islamic Resistance Movement,” Sunni-comprised Hamas describes itself as “one of the wings of the Muslim Brotherhood” and is also a proxy of Iran, which frequently supplies the group arms as well as funds its various initiatives.

Who will have the guts to shoot this film and promote it? Will our gov’t stand by and let something like this be done? We all know that this will light up the Muslim world like nothing else. Whoever messes with this will have a target on themselves and their families and you know that. Look what these guys did to the South Park people. Phone numbers, addresses were posted…etc Whoever takes on this movie had better be prayed up and be willing to put their families in harms way over this. I applaud this man wholeheartedly for having the guts to walk away from Islam and turn to Christ, but is it wise to provoke this matter further? If God told this man to do this then I would encourage him completely, but this is something that had better be prayed over because there will be consequences. The extremists are not bluffing. They believe in what they do. IT IS their religion, and they are willing to die for it. Don’t lull yourself into some false sense of security just because we live in the US. Our southern border is wide open!!!! Most of our northern border is open also. I just urge caution and thoughtful prayer about this one.

It tells of his time working with Israel and how he came to know the Lord Jesus Christ. While this new endeavor is certainly dangerous, and I do not know him personally, but I have zero doubt that Mosab is not afraid of death. His eternity is secure in Christ.

Taking a stand like that is very very dangerous. I know he knows that as he was raised by terrorists, but still, he leaves himself wide open to murder. I hope he has good security, and anyone who helps make this film had best do it on the QT or they will be marked for murder too. After reading the history of the Muslim religious propaganda, and doing a close read of the Koran, I am convinced this was a good scam that got way out of hand. It is, in short, a grab from Jewish and Christian writings mixed with myth and folk stories, and sold as a religion to the ignorant and gullible, that became, after many years, a way of life and a culture of murder. Kinda sick if you ask me.

Its really just like a global Blood/Crip gang. Ignorant people want security/unity/brotherhood and they use the two most powerful emotional forces (violence and sex) to keep them hooked/part of the unit. This theory will work 100% of the time in a large group of humans, unless they have something stronger to hold onto (belief in Christ/Christian morals)…The very existence of Islam proves atheists claims of “good without God” wrong.

Islam is based on lies and Muslims are allowed to lie to infidels to decieve them without fear of sinning according to their muhammed. @STEELHEAD

      Good question.

My personal opinion is that self-defense is justified, but we are taught to turn the other cheek.

As a Latter Day Saint, we are commanded to obey the government – if I am in the armed forces and my government goes to war, the sin rests with those who decided to go to war.

I would also suggest that our forces “Rules of Engagement” prohibit us from just killing people indiscriminately. They are a reflection of our Christian values.

We should seek every possibility to avoid conflict, but in my opinion, if we are attacked, then I can defend myself.

The caveat is: If we are as clean and spotless in our lives as possible, we can have the protection of Divine Providence.

Polarization is a tool of the Devil. “Blessed be the peacemaker, for they shall find peace.”

Just rocks? Muslims have slaughtered entire villages of non-Muslims with their swords in the name of Islam. You are so determined to step on Christianity that you desperately defend Muslims by foolishly attempting to make them out to be defenseless, innocent victims of powerful imperialistic American Christian oligarchs. The world directors that have perpetrated global wars and other crimes against humanity do not genuinely recognize God under any name… and do not legitimately embrace allegiance to any nation. World orchestrators are united in one primary goal… this is evident in the systematic dismantling of national sovereignties on a global scale. They do not value Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Americanism, or other national patriotism… because their devotion, loyalty, worship and trust is to an antithetical entity… all else is just a means to a culminating, destructive, deceptive end.

I’d suggest a little light reading. Start with the Quran and then read the Bible. But remember in Islam the last passages are take precedence over the earlier ones, not so in the Bible.
After that, read Das Kapital then Adam Smiths “The wealth of nations”. If that doesn’t correct your thinking then try My Struggle by A. Hitler, or The Little Red Book by the late great chairman himself, Mao!
If you still feel that America’s such a bad place, then don’t worry! Dear Leader is going nowhere in the near future and he will give us glorious Communism at its finest! Complete with gulags and hand dug ditches to hide the bodies!

@ALLLost Correction “stochastic probability” for us atheists. Thanks. There are discernible parameters based on past data that could put odds on an individual in a large population adapting a different view, in addition to probability the person will place themselves in the public arena with that dissenting view. Don’t a lot of fictional movies rely on this truth? The movie about the guy who goes against the grain. These kinds of movies only exist because it is predictable from real life history. I have met a muslim that shares this guys view yet he isn’t a public figure kind of guy so the world will not hear his opinion, only friends of his will. The chance there are more muslims like this guy does not come from pure randomness.

      @ brother_ed:
Yes, we do exist. We are not Atheists, who tend to be very militant in their fervor against all religion. We are an ‘I’m not sure, and I don‘t know’ crowd. We don’t look at the 10 commandments, In God we trust, crosses and shudder. They don’t really bother us. Many of us have read plenty of religious beliefs and the jury, in our minds, is still out. Beyond the modern major 4 religions (yes, I include Hindus) we have a long history of religions that are no longer practiced. This actually fascinates most Agnostic people, like me. It’s just like reading a history lesson. So, to help you understand us, we are a weird group of people to most, and most Agnostic folks are very laid back and don‘t have a problem with any religion as long as it’s not shoved down our throats, hurts people, especially women and children, and we are just as patriotic as the next person. Most of also believe in some kind of higher power, we just don’t know what that power is. But we do ‘feel’ it. Just because we don’t have a Jewish or Christian label, does not make us bad people. Most of the time, our values are just as high, with respect to others just as we wish them for ourselves. Hope that helps you understand us better. :) Again, we are not militant Atheists. More live and let live…

I have no problem with agnostics, or atheists for that matter.

Any ‘militant’ point of view (meaning not understanding) rubs me the wrong way, but I try not to let them get me down.

“Live and let live” is a good motto.

I have religious beliefs; one of them is to “Love your neighbor as yourself”

We all have a path to follow, I try not to get upset when, in the course of my wandering, I meet someone whose on a different path.

He’s a dead man. As much as I would love to see this film come to fruition and as much as I would love seeing someone give a different side to muhammed, I don’t think it will accomplish much. First of all, it will never be allowed to be seen in muslim countries. Second, he’ll be targeted for a fatwah and possibly a bounty placed on his head. Third, I doubt the movie would be an honest examination of muhammed. If it were to be it would absolutely show the religion as a fraud. Once that happens even the main stream will brush it off as radical. But one could hope, I guess.

“he’ll be targeted for a fatwah and possibly a bounty placed on his head”
He left islam. He went against hamas. He helped the Israelis. I do not think another fatwah/bounty makes too much difference. As someone else said, are they going to kill him twice? He knows them for the cowards there are. Killing innocent women and children. Using children as shields. Wearing womens clothes to wage terror. I can’t wait to see the movie. Might drop off a copy in every a-rab gas station in my county…

Hey Al J. We are all dead men. He’s been ”out’ as an Israeli spy, apostate, outspoken detractor of Islam, all capital crimes to Islam. He may be a Christian…also a capital crime. I am sure they’ve wanted him dead for a while now.

Think the followers of Mohammed used the sword against the tribes in their area even before taking on the Christians. They seem to have a desire to fight , to kill and to conquer in their DNA. Can see why Christianity would’t appeal to them !

Well Swampy, that’s not entirely true. Muhammed died in 632 AD, and the main crusades were between 1095 and 1291 AD. When Alexis requested support, Jerusalem had already been under Islamic control for 372 years.

Now, as to what Islam is all about, I’d have to agree that it is disfunctionally militant. In fact, after having taken the time to read the Quran a few times, it spends an inordinate amount of time on the policies of raiding their neighbors. It cerainly has little to do with the Gospels.

If you follow your Quran, you will always be a sociopath. It is a strong judgement, but it explains why Islam has always been the bad boy in the neighborhood. After the Mutazalites were booted out, things started to go downhill for the Islamic empire. Things have never been the same for them since.

I‘m pretty sure you’re saying that Arabs are murder by their DNA? If so you are a racist. That is just a stupid thought that can not be rationalized.

How do you have to be to think you are a murderer because one of your ancestors kill somebody. So stupid. I can’t stand racist form of thinking.

Well if that not what your getting at then forget about it.

Well my dad hate greens and can’t read so I must hate greens and also not be able to read too, right? I share the same DNA it must be in my nature! Yeah its cool how science and nature work, huh?

      Enrico,

Read the Quran. It won’t cost you anything, and once you have done so, you will realize the point these people are making.

Unfortunately, unless you’ve educated yourself on the subject, you’re missing the point.

Many people are most likely genetically predisposed to be more violent than empathetic within the populace. But just because a person can be predisposed towards violence does not mean that they will become violent. This is where environment plays a huge factor – and the Islamic environment has been responsible for exploiting people to commit suicide bombings where, if fostered in a loving environment, most people’s genetic predisposition for violence would not have come out. I have a feeling that many Muslims question the logic behind Islam and especially behind Sharia Law.

@corbecket I wasn’t about Islam or Muslims. I said Arab. I was referring to barber2′s comment and now v15.

I already believe and know that the Quran teaches. I have read the Quran and the God of the Quran is a God of hate. It does not teach loving your neighbors but rather you’re obligated to force your neighbor to submit or murder them.

At the heart of the Quran (which most don’t fully understand) it teaches, requires and obligates you to hate, murder and war and give your live doing so.

I would say much like the most who claim Christianity do not truly understand what the Bible teaches. Which the God of the Bible is a God of love that teaches, requires and obligates you to love, serve others, prosper through works and deeds with your life everyday doing so.

      Enrico,

I underestimated your knowledge on the matter. Of course, one can hardly single out Arab Muslims as the only ethnic group mislead by the Koran (unless you include the marriage to your first, second, and third cousin(s) stuff). I’ve often wondered about what effect that has on certain Arabic (and other) gene pools. Given the inordinate number of “unusual” genetic diseases in the areas around the Persian Gulf, I fear that their ethnic neurological welfare may be at risk. Certainly the World Health Organization, and the physicians working in the region are well aware that there are problems. Still, it is a “touchy” subject to discuss publicly, and something that is not terribly well received in the region affected. As to violent tendencies, I really cannot say what effect the intermarriage problem may have on the population in the area.

There has been a fair bit of research on the subject of intermarriage in regional populations. In Pakistan, fully 70% of the marriages are between first cousins. There is a measured loss of IQ of 10-16 points in consanguinous marriages. There is also an increase in schizophrenia, depression, and other mental problems. I was lectured, by a Persian (not Arab), that marriage to his first cousin makes the “best marriage”. What can a Westerner say to that?

Still, given the effect this has on their genetic welfare, there may be something to the concerns regarding their DNA. It’s certainly not good.
