Also took a moment to reflect on the stark difference in reactions between how American citizens behaved in the immediate aftermath of that day, and how citizens of many Islamic countries act after they have been attacked by enemies perceived or real. Nearly ALL Americans were UNITED in not just their grief, but also in the spirit of renewal and strength. Alternatively, Islamic peoples often take to the streets with angry threats, etc. Other than a very basic cultural difference that’s existed for millenia, I don’t understand that difference. Perhaps it is BECAUSE we are a free people that we react this way and they react against us this way? What else could it be? Would love your thoughts.

KCDAD, at the risk of bursting another stereotype bubble….I read a ton of books, and I respect the flag as a symbol of the liberties and freedoms that were earned by the blood of freedom fighters, and sustained with the blood of generations of patriots. I owe a debt to the past that I can never repay in the future, and the flag reminds me of that debt everyday.

After downloading a copywritten version of the quran for free online, I set my printer up to print in on only one sheet of paper (yes, all 978 teeny-tiny pages), so that I wasted that absolute minimum amount of my resources, I took the stolen quran into my yard, faced Mecca, wiped my behind with the paper, lit it on fire and watched it burn to a cinder. When the fire appeared to be out, I urinated on the ashes as a safety precaution for my property. I did all of this proudly in defiance of ALL of Islam.

For example, Glenn Beck pretends to be a staunch fiscal conservative. How conservative do you want to get? well, Beck wants to repeal each and every single program that began with the New Deal wich helps the average American: From Social Security to medicare.
Beck acts as if Progressivism has had absolutely NO redeeming value whatsoever. If it weren’t for progressive values, women wouldn’t have the right to vote.
Beck likes states’ rights. Well, a few decades ago, states’ rights was simply used as an excuse for states to continue oppressive policies against black people, but we can’t ever talk about race any more because some conseravtive Tea Party member will simply accuse me of using “the race card,” DESPITE the FACT that I’m talking about race in totally HONEST terms.
You NEED a strong Federal government sometimes to protect people.

Report Post »How can you even state that a program like Social Sec. is sound. It was promised to be held in a“lock box” but it was’nt. It was never saved! The GOP and Dems spent it years ago and left a Madoff style ponzi scheme in its place. We had 17 workers paying for each retiree in the 40′s and now we have 2.3. We have the young worker being taxed to retire his father and grand parents. Soon we will be collecting less then we will be paying and no savings account to help get over the baby boom curve.
As for Beck and history. Did you know Ike wrote the civil rights legislation and guess who was the speaker of the house who would not pass it or at least pass something with teeth in it???? It was Ole Linden. Then years later he takes credit for passing it only after sentiment was too strong for even him to resist. It is just a fact. Now who is racist??? Look at Wilson, Gore SR, Byrd, FDR and all the other racist leaders. Let me know if you would like me to DVR some more Beck for you?

How can you compare the radical Islamic terrorist hell bent on the destruction of the United States to a US citizen exercising their right as an American citizen and one of the most popular cable TV personalities? There’s your problem….. If you would take some time and actually read something published by Glen Beck or even Bill O’Reilly, you‘ll see that they’re interested in our Judeo-Christian values, and the founding fathers interpretation of the US Constitution. Just to let you know, there is a huge difference between someone burning a piece of paper and beheading someone. Just recently in the last few weeks, there were some Christian doctors/missionaries in Afghanistan, who were abducted and killed because they weren’t Islamic. What do you have to say to that? What they weren’t wearing the right color clothing? No, they were going around helping and healing people that’s all. What did those Islamic freedom fighters do? Did they burn a piece of paper and say how much they hate them? No, they killed them for what they represented. Come ‘on MAN….

The only thing that ticks me off is that our adminstration is suggesting that we not burn the qu’ran because the peace loving muslims will kill our soldiers and citizens. I used to think these people were decent, peaceful, loving individuals that love their God, but after seeing this, the comic strip and South Park, I don’t see how we can ignore the truth. They are as bad as Christians used to be during the witch hunts. It’s the same mentality and the same level of violence, except the Christian witch hunts were supported and in many cases guided by the government. I’m a Theist (used to be a Christian, but call myself a Christer) but I’m fed up with these wack jobs that use God to perpetuate hate.
