      I agree with you on this one. As a life-long Catholic, I have been taught not to hate others for their beliefs even if I think they are misplaced. I have not heard Glenn make anti-Catholic remarks, but have seen way too much on THEBLAZE. As a staunch conservative, I am saddened that so many conservatives here hate Catholics. It isn‘t very Christian and it isn’t very conservative to attack people based on their beliefs.

      I had one like him , Left the church. Never regretted it . I learned lots of other tragedies perpetuated by them. They would steal the last dime “in the name of the lord’ from anybody as they are doing in Africa South America and any other peoples that have no other “hope” than some “god” in a fancy outfit and a “heaven” filled with gold etc. Does that sound familiar in today’s conflicts anyone?

      Y_LENTZ can you say the name of the priest because I would like to confirm some info on this guy.
      and even if he is a priest. I go to receive the Sacrements there have been bad priests before there will be bad priests again just like with any of the other reliegion except they attack us and our mother church it is the price we pay “bless are they that pursecute you for my name sake” what we need to is try to do what is right. Remember our prayer “ forgive us for what we do and what we fail to do”
      Just as glen has you do your home work do at least the same for your faith not for those that confront you they have always been and will always be till the end of time, but for yourself so that you are never even temped to doubt when they attack. sorry I love my god and I love my church and the fullness of truth.

    In Latin America where we lived for a time, the priests were charlatans, for the most part, using and abusing the people, esp. in rural areas where traditions were stronger than knowledge. We learned much from the priests about why JESUS did not stay inside the temples to reach the people.

    Not saying that all the priests are like the ones we met, but far too many are. Sort of like the televangelists here…..y-u-c-k.

    We must continue our prayers for our domestic enemies, esp. those of the church!

    I am surprised that this priest spoke against Israel because the Catholic Church has been trying for years to get in the good graces of the Jewish people. He will probably be reprimanded by his superiors. Furthermore, I always hear the freakin’ Muslims complaining about Israel, and always calling for their demise. But I never hear or read the Jews saying nasty things about the Muslims. So, if you stand by and observe the two cultures for awhile, I would say the Muslims are the problem.

      I support the State of Israel, but this is not an accurate historical picture. First, Herod was no Jew. He was an Idumean. Second, the Jews were not just driven out of the cities. The Jewish presence throughout the countryside was drastically reduced after the failed Bar Kokhba Revolt and Judea ceased to be the center of Judaism. Third, you are ignoring the Christian presence in the land throughout the Christian Roman Empire, Jerusalem and Ceasaria being strong centers of Christianity, then its capture by the Arabs, then the creation of the Crusader state, all before the Ottomans rose to power in the 14th century.

      Gideon – I am wondering where in the bible you learned to hate others? You Protestants all just use the bible for your own agenda -each interpreting it how you see fit. The Catholic Church is not a cult and your ARE NOT GOD! God is the only judge of men. Your “religion” seems to be built on justifying your self righteous behavior. GOD will judge you. It won’t be me. Maybe you should take a lesson from Catholics on that.

      I knew that it would just be a matter of time before one of you piped up up. The definition and original meaning of Christian or Christ like. The bible tells us to have the mind of Christ. When Jesus spoke He moved people. They fled, followed or tried to kill Him.
      Now I gave you several Biblical references in my posts here yet you have not given me any to support your view other than trying to tell me that I am wrong. If read the Bible you won’t get much out of it. You have to had given your life to Christ and ask God to send His holy Spirit to guide and teach you. Otherwise you get all kinds of weird and perverted interpretations of Gods Word.
      Mary was not sinless. Her and Joseph had to offer turtle doves when they brought Jesus to the temple, why- for a sin offering.
      You and your term “protestant” is wrong as well. What is a protestant? Someone who rejects the catholic idol worship religion? How can a group of people that follow Jesus now be protesters when a false religion comes around after the fact?
      Your comments and views show that you have the mind set of a liberal. You take what is told to you and do not do your own homework.
      I invite you to show me in the Bible where it says to pray for and to the dead. Where does it say to hold mardi gras beads and pray repetitiously to them. Where does it say to call a priest father and that he can forgive you your sins without going to God Himself, for yourself? Where does it say to light candles for others? Where does it say that priests cannot marry? Where does it say that only priests can cast out demons?, while using dead people parts?
      I’ll give you a hint. It doesn’t. If you notice all of these are contrary to the Bible just as Glenn was speaking of the 12th being contrary to Christ in the Book of Revelation.
      I don’t follow a religion or denomination. I follow God.

      I will tell you what I do hate though and that is doing damage control. I have sat and counseled with countless people in jails, prisons and psych wards that have had their eyes opened up after Satan has had a field day with them. To be honest with you, the vast majority were catholic and coming out of it. These people are angry that they were misled for so long and now have trust issues to deal with on top of their other problems. Yes I love to see when someone is change in an instant and God gives them a new heart.
      But again I want to ask you what did I say in any of my posts that was not Scriptural.

With this reasoning why do all Baptists hate the military and protest at their funerals… Why do all Protestants burn the Koran? Why did the Protestants change the Bible and reduce the amount of books to fit their own agenda?
      And the Pope should directley come out and condem this idiot? I would be willling to bet that this breif 2 minute clip hasn‘t mad it to the Pope’s desk… He is a pretty busy man.

      Thank you for bringing these things up. The Scriptures are inspired by God, In the Greek God breathed.
      These books that were added by the catholic’s, not removed by what you term protestants, were not inspired by God. You know this and probably refute it as well. i do not know who jack Chick is but I do know Jesus. To be able to have the breathed spirit, The Holy Spirit, you must be able to receive Him into your heart, not try to intellectualize it.
      What you say are the same old arguments of this are simply facts. I have asked priests questions about the Scriptures and they cannot answer them. Why? because they don’t know them. They know church doctrine and little of The Church. I hope and pray that God will open your eyes before it is too late. Study the Scriptures with The Holy Spirit guiding you or you will be taught by ‘ familiar spirits. Have been miraculously healed of several things and have cast demons from myself as the Jesus told us how. Have seen the Hand of God heal others while I laid hands on them as we are instructed by Jesus as well.
      I need no man to tell me different. If you have experienced these things let me know otherwise I suggest that you press into God and let Him teach you.

      How can the Catholic Church have “added” these when we compiled the Bible… A little history lesson…
      The canon of the Old Testament that Catholics use is based on the text used by Alexandrian Jews, a version known as the “Septuagint” and which came into being around 280 B.C. as a translation of then existing texts from Hebrew into Greek by 72 Jewish scribes (the Torah was translated first, around 300 B.C., and the rest of Tanach was translated afterward).

      In the 16th c., Luther, reacting to serious abuses and clerical corruption in the Catholic Church, to his own heretical theological vision removed those books from the canon that lent support to orthodox doctrine, relegating them to an appendix. Removed in this way were books that supported such things as prayers for the dead (Tobit 12:12; 2 Maccabees 12:39-45), Purgatory (Wisdom 3:1-7), intercession of dead saints (2 Maccabees 15:14), and intercession of angels as intermediaries (Tobit 12:12-15).

      Luther wanted to remove the Epistle of James, Esther, Hebrews, Jude and Revelation. Calvin and Zwingli also both had problems with the Book of Revelation, the former calling it “unintelligible” and forbidding the pastors in Geneva to interpret it, the latter calling it “unbiblical”. The Syrian (Nestorian) Church has only 22 books in the New Testament while the Ethiopian Church has 8 “extra.“ The first edition of the King James Version of the Bible included the ”Apocryphal” Books.

      The 7 books removed from Protestant Bibles are known by Catholics as the “Deuterocanonical Books” (as opposed to the “Protocanonical Books” that are not in dispute), and by Protestants as the “Apocrypha.”

      Many non-Catholic Christians like to accuse Catholics of “adding” Books to the Bible at the 16th c. Council of Trent. This is absolutely, 100% false. This Council, among other things, simply affirmed the ancient accepted books in the face of Protestant tinkering.
      How could Luther have relegated the deuterocanonical books to an appendix if they hadn’t already been accepted in the first place? The Gutenberg Bible was printed in 1454 — and it included the deuterocanonical Books. How could the Church have “added” them at the Council of Trent that began 91 years later?
      I appreciate your religious experience and I am fine with the way you choose to worship (it has no effect on me) all I ask is that before you make blanket judgements you inform yourself to the correct teachings of the Church. If you would like to know them they are easily accessed read the Catechism of the Catholic Church and you should get a good idea of what we truely believe.

      In regards to the “facts” which you said you asked some priest some questions about the Scriptures and he couldn’t answer that is known as circumstantial information thus it cannot be fact… I would love for you to talk to my priest he is fully versed in greek, latin, hebrew and is currently studing aramaic. Moreover I would put Joseph Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI) up against any Theologian in the world.

      I am sorry that you still want to stick up for this. By your own words I am not the only one who has shown you these facts and how if we disobey God and follow man we will be destroyed. You have failed to address many of the few things that I had put up to begin with. I can go on for days and not be able to reach you. Jesus said that He came to save the sick and those that are well do not need a physician. This was the reference that He gave the Pharisees when they asked about Him healing the blind man. When one is well in their own eyes they have no use of a healer. Why does the catholic world all weep and wander around lost when a pope dies. As one that has been to too many funerals it is easy to see those that are saved and not. If the catholic s believed that the passed pope was saved they would celebrate his being with Jesus, but instead they weep until another god on earth is elected. Satan is the leader of this world, this is in the Bible many times.
      Yes there were a great deal of things that Luther addressed and wanted to address. Have you read his story of his conversion. When he found that there was nothing that he could do for his own salvation and accepted Jesus then his eyes were opened. This applies to this conversation here as well. Only God will be able to get through to you and I pray it is while you still have life in your mortal body.

But there is still the lingering question of why did the catholic church sell out to the Nazi’s for fear of God would not save them.       Rockets are again being fired into Israeli cities, killing and maiming innocent citizens. These attacks have continued for years with brief unofficial armistice occurring whenever it was to the advantage of the aggressor.       2. Israel has produced considerable wealth and that wealth is available for the Tyrants to plunder.

      As a Catholic, I’m embarassed by this “priest” and hope he get’s reprimanded by the Diocesis he serves in. The Jewish people are God’s chosen people and lest we forget that Jesus Christ was a Jew, and by that alone, we should respect, support, and pray for our Jewish brothers and sisters.

      Israel and the Jewish people have persecuted and attcked by the arabs, persians, and egyptians for over three millenia. They have always viewed the Jewish people as inferior and have done everything to bully them to submission and slavery. They cannot stand that the Jewish people took the land of current day Israel, a swamp land with no natural resouces which was GIVEN to them by the British, and turned it into a successful, prosperous country. This drives the arabs crazy! If the palestinians, egyptians, syrians, arabs, and all the other surrounding country would stop attacking and terrorizing Israel, THERE WOULD BE NO WAR OR CONFLICT!!! Israel does what it does for survival and defense!

      And as for @becksadweeb… Catholic priests who have abused children for the past centuries, here and abroad, is unexcuseable, and the Church is paying a heavy penance for these crimes, and I pray God will help the Church correct this. Teachers and coaches have also been guilty of the same kind of abuse, and there is no excuse for them as well. But if you really want to look at where child sexual abuse is a problem, look at your local Indian reservation. There, every child is sexually abused before the age of 16.

      This Catholic Priest isn’t out of line as far as the majority of the of the Catholic Organization is concerned. There are Century’s, Millenia even of BAD BLOOD HERE between The Catholic Organization, and The Nation of Israel.NO FAULT of THE NATION of ISRAEL ! However the relationship began to be e-established under Pope John Paul II in 1993, and 13 years later Pope Benedict really spoke highly of Israel and poorly of Palestine and that met with serious opposition in the Catholic Organization as the majority CATHOLIC Hierarchy STILL have A SERIOUS problem with The Nation of Israel.       I am yet another American that stands with Isreal…people make a big deal that Glen stands up for Isreal as much as he does…its good that someone does…Isreal has alot of enemies…I will never understand it myself…other than the fact that the Lord chose Isreal as his beloved people…and the other races can’t get over that fact…I’m cool with it though!…pray for Isreal, America.

      I don‘t remember hearing about Jews firing rockets at German villages from Dachau and Auschwticz or ’Palistinians being seperated for either gassing or slave labor on starvation rations. I guess my education is lacking.

      Let’s get real here people, the land of Isael is covenant land promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob’s descendants…….so, if the UN, US, Quartet or anyone else decides to divide the land of Israel, they are NOT taking on the Israelites, they are taking on the GOD of Israel.
      Of course, the Edomites, et al think that he is too old and too weak to be able to defend Israel….I think, if they do it, it’s time to buckle up!!

      I stand with Israel, either here or abroad. They are not being violent. Only trying to protect themselves from the Palestinians attacks and slaughterhouse murders. They are a peaceful and free people, like America used to be. That is their land and the Palestinians want to steal and take.

      Looks like what is happening here in America.We are being occupied by the Communist/Socialists and Israel is being slandered and lied about, so when they begin to commit a 2nd Holocaust upon the Jewish people. Uneducated foolish people will be complacent, just like the Germans were. The same thing Hitler did in WWII. By use of a paid off biased Media, just like we have now in America.

      They are also lying and setting up the Tea Party People for similar evil. Those of us with educated and studied knowledge of History will not let this happen again. Socialist/Communist have been here in America for a long time and they know they are loosing their evil battle of take over, so they are getting up front and violent, begging for a civil war and riots in the streets.

      I bet if the back ground of this ?? so called priest ?? was checked, we would find him to be an imposter and a Communist. Or shame on the Catholic faith??? Everything seems to be a lie and this is ,too.

      Does everyone know what they are calling “Occupation”? Here is what has been happening for decades. A Palestinian or a group of them will sell property to a Jewish construction company. The construction company will build homes or townhomes and Jewish people will move in. Then the Palestinians will harass and terrorize the residents and the Israeli Army will come in to keep the peace. And they call that “Occupation”. It is a rouse ladies and gentlemen and EVERYONE lets them get away with it.
