Israel Must ‘Apologize’: Turkish PM Bashes Israel to Arab League

If there was any doubt that Turkey was anti-Israel, this should put it to rest.

In a speech to the Arab League this week, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan ridiculed Israel, demanding it apologize for last year’s Gaza flotilla deaths and compensate the families of the “martyrs,” while also endorsing a Palestinian state. And not surprisingly, the speech took place in Egypt:

And yes, the Al Jazeera reporter did use the words “he did not disappoint” to describe his anti-Israel speech. The anti-Israel sentiment is strong in the Middle East.

      Amen to ScarletRose reference to 2 Chronicles 7:14. This is the only way the U.S. will be restored and receive God’s blessing. We must support Israel (who is in the right by the way) and must fall on our faces and beg for God’s forgiveness. We were founded by Godly men as a nation of Judeo Christian principles and we have strayed far from those principles. The Godless Progressives are working overtime to remove God from the public sphere.

      Key words: “MY people”. Not“America”. Not “the USA”. “MY people”; those who claim to be followers of God.

      Also, “their land” isn’t a reference to the United States. This was written thousands of years before the US was even an idea.

      If those who claim to follow God will change their self-serving ways, change their way of thinking, and put their energy into living the gift of life the way it was created to be lived, then those problems which plague their land will correct themselves because the heart of the people will change and they will correct the errors which have produced their problems. They will no longer allow government to rule them or be their nanny because they will grow the backbone take on the responsibility of being proper citizens. Only then will their land be healed.

      The claim in this story’s headline is ridiculous.
      Turkey is asking for compensation for some of it’s citizens who Israelis killed.
      Should Turkey instead say thank you very much. It is an honor to be shot with Israeli bullets?

      Turkey is looking out for it’s own interests.
      Israel is being unreasonable.

      Yes, that would appear to be true. I imagine they also like the infidel to purify him/herself of their perceived sins, before their slaughter begins. What better way to do that than to kowtow to a sanctimonious intolerant pagan, begging forgiveness for a non-existent offence to neither God nor man.

    For the life of me, I can not understand the deep, intense, anti-Semitic hatred held by those mostly of Arabic decent. I used to work at the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC and can’t contemplate how anyone who has been there, couldn’t be moved.

      Turks are not of Arab descent. They come the the steppes of Central Asia. The speak Turkish, not Arabic. They were converted to islam along their migration westward. It fit their warlike nature of pillage and conquest as they wiped out indigenous cultures that were predominantly Christian in the Anatolian plateau. Like them the Mongols also adopted islam when they moved out of the steppe and became the Mughals of the Indian subcontinent. During Partition, muslims moved into Pakistan to make their own muslim country. It may also account for why they remain a backwater, even if they have atomic weapons. Islam hates polytheists like the Hindus even more than it hates Jews and Christians!

      They hate Jews and Christians because their guiding books, koran, haddith, al sira, tell them to do so. The guiding principle of a devout muslim is to emulate Mohammad. He was a caravan trader turned warlord who made substantial profits out of raping, pillaging, and killing all his opponents. In doing so, he opened the field widely for his followers to do the same.

    I’ve been to Turkey dozens of times over the years. It was a great place to visit.
    You couldn’t pay me to go there now.
    Erdogan and his gang have stolen Turkey from the Turks.
    The military used to be Turkey’s safety valve. Everytime the government got out of control, the military would kick them back toward the center. Happened quite a few times.
    Turkey was our ally, and Israel’s.
    Now thanks to the islamic fanatics in the government they have quickly become the next Iran, Syria, Lybia (pick one).
    Funny how Erdogan’s takeover makes me think of obama….
