Israel Calls for U.N. Employee’s Dismissal For Tweeting Misleading Photo of Dead Palestinian Child

Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations has called for a U.N. agency employee’s firing after she tweeted a misleading and incendiary photo of a dead Palestinian girl covered in blood.

As The Blaze previously reported, Khulood Badawi, the information and media coordinator for the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Jerusalem, tweeted the photo on March 10 with the comment: “Palestine is bleeding. Another child killed by #Israel.. Another father carrying his child to a grave in #Gaza.”

The photo Khulood Badawi tweeted on March 10.

The photo was later identified to be from 2006, and that the girl had died either from a car accident or had fallen off a swing, according to various media reports. Still, that did little to stop Badawi’s tweet from circulating across the social networking site.

“She was not killed by Israeli forces,” Ron Prosor, Israel’s ambassador to the U.N., wrote in a letter to U.N. Under-Secretary-General Valerie Amos, according to Fox News.

Prosor said Badawi’s actions “violate conduct expected of a UN official” and said she “actively engaged in the demonization of Israel, a member state of the United Nations. Such actions contribute to incitement, conflict and, ultimately, violence.”

“Although Ms. Badawi’s portrayal of this photo was clearly a blatant falsehood, her post became the top tweet for anything related to Gaza on Twitter,” Prosor wrote.

In response to Prosor’s letter, Amos said it was “regrettable that an OCHA staff member has posted information on her personal Twitter profile, which is both false and which reflects on issues that are related to her work.”

“The opinions expressed in her tweets in no way reflect the views of OCHA, nor has it been sanctioned by OCHA,” she wrote.

 Badawi — whose Twitter account name is “Long live Palestine” — deleted the original tweet after the initial controversy last week, but did not officially retract or apologize for it until Sunday morning.

“Correction: I tweeted the photo believing it was from the last round of violence & it turned out to be from 2006 This is my personal account,” Badawi wrote.

      The Black September movement refers to specific terrorist groups that began with the Black September war led by Yasser Arafat in 1970. After Arafat’s militant, radical religious fundamentalists could not “occupy” Jordan, but were thrown out, Arafat sought “revenge” against Israel next.

      This prophecy was spoken just months before Bin Laden formed Al Qaeda from the radical militants he had assembled and trained in training camps (in Afghanistan and Pakistan). In great love, the spiritual messengers of God were warning us all of what course this could take for our world, unless we make other choices. But, perhaps not knowing, we continued our path, funding, supporting, compassionately giving and sympathizing. Israel has become the scapegoat of enemies who seek to destroy and occupy her, since Arafat’s Black September movement began, and destroy our freedom (even of worship) and the Western Civilization. Had we understood, would we have chosen the same path or chosen to build a more loving world?

    Let me see if I’ve got this straight?
    If Israel retaliates for a heinous act by the Palestinian (like the targeting of a school bus full of children
    or the intentional targeting of families including the killing of babies)
    and the brave Palestinians (who are hiding in the homes where women & children are used as shields) bring destruction from Israel into their hide out where children get killed as collateral damage,
    then I should conclude that the Israeli children are of far less value then the Palestinian children so we should condemn the Israeli people & give the Palestinians a pass! RIGHT? NO!

    The UN is a Globalist-NWO arm of the Banker Elite and was indeed originated by them. The various ‘agencies’ of the UN are assigned to implement one or more of the Globalist objectives. Since our government is bought and paid for by these same Globalist Bankers, we have little chance of doing what it necessary for U.S. survival, extricating us from this cabal and cutting off all funding for it.

    Yes, lying is NOT wrong to Muslims (much like liberals) – the “end justifies the means” and taught it is quite noble to lie to promote their agenda. What’s also scary is that Palestinian Muslims are at our colleges, promoting hatred towards Israel and sympathy for Palestinians, according to an ex-Muslim terrorist, Walid Shoebat (who converted to Christianity) – and also there have been a good number who are converting to Islam. They are laughing themselves silly about how gullible we Americans are re Islam. (Great book: “God’s War on Terror”).
    You don’t only have the liberal professors indoctrinating, brainwashing our kids, there are the Muslims trying to convert people to Islam (there are also Muslim professors). I’ve even heard Christian pastors saying Allah is the same “God” as the Christian one (btw false).       That’s just a minor revision of the executive order on National Defense Resources Preparedness signed by President Clinton, which was just a minor revision of the executive order on National Defense Resources Preparedness signed by President Reagan, and so on back to the first executive order on National Defense Resources Preparedness signed by FDR in 1939. If you don’t believe me, just look up the Clinton and Reagan executive orders which are revoked in section 803. In other words, this is a normal part of every President’s job that just seems sinister to paranoids who see everything that President Obama does part of some vast and overarching evil conspiracy.

      Since I started following current world events, for the better half of two decades, Israel has always been the true victim of the media, European countries, and World Organizations. None of us should forget that there is NO Palestinian people. The Roman empire named the region Palestine to spite the Hebrews that are the true inhabitants of this land. The Romans do not have a pronunciation for ‘PH’ they were referring to the Philistines which have been the Hebrews long enemy. The people called Palestinians are Jordanian and Egyptian refugees that were living in this Territory and was not permitted to go to their home countries once the land was given back to its true keepers. The Hebrew.

      I dare say the Israeli’s has more patients then I do. They have tried negotiating a peaceful exsistance for I dont know how long with a people that have stated that they are not even a people, much less a nation.

      just as an FYI….before anyone flips out and says I left out a bunch of info, my post is in repsonse to “truth” and I’m highlighting the percentages of Jews that were in Palestine at different points in recent history Obviously, there’s way more to the story, and everyone has an arguement as to why it belongs to one group or the other….The Blaze only allows so many characters….

      Your doing great as long as you don’t go back any earlier than 1881. That land has always been a battle between the descendants from Bible days. (yes it has been proven through many archeological digs.) Abraham was promised some of that land for obedience to his God, but wouldn’t take it, and only bought a burying place for himself and his wife. The Descendants of Abraham from his different wives are primarily the ones fighting for it now! The Jewish people are from the line of Sarah, and they’ve been taken into captivity off the land again and again. That’s why they were scattered all over the world and trickled back. If you do the kind of research you did, how many nations now would have a right to the land they inhabit? How many have taken their land from someone else in battle, or moved in and bought it and organized a nation? Why is Israel the only one hated for this?
      Just something to think about.

    Maybe we should tweet real Israeli children after a missile from the Gaza strip has landed in a Israeli subdivision or that child that was stoned by Palestinian cowards in her car. The problem with Muslims, Palestinian’s is they have no SHAME. They were never taught manners or morals. They can’t even practice what they preach. This is why they will always be lower than ANIMALS.
