Israeli Woman Bravely Escapes Homemade German Torture ChamberAn investigation is underway after an Israeli woman residing in Hamburg, Germany, was allegedly kidnapped and  held captive in a homemade torture chamber.

The woman made her escape from the torture chamber — a soundproofed cell made from a converted telephone booth — after merely two hours. Her captor, Thomas Fischer, forgot to lock the door.

Fox News reports the woman, thought to be an acquaintance of Fisher, crashed through a barbed wire-covered window in order to flee.

What the authorities found at the scene, however, was even more repugnant:

Police fear Fisher was preparing for an extended stay with his victim, stocking his home with enough supplies to last him several months. But the woman said she fled to safety after just two-and-a-half hours, when he forgot to lock the chamber.

He is reported to have given chase, armed, but was unable to catch the woman, who ran to a friend’s house where she alerted police.

When officers stormed Fisher’s heavily fortified apartment, they allegedly found a pistol, a hand grenade and surgical equipment including a scalpel, syringes and gynecological tools with which he had experimented on a mannequin.

He had also stockpiled 113 fire extinguishers, some of which contained traces of explosives. In his bedroom were timber beams that police believe he had planned to use to board up the windows and doors.

Hamburger Morgenpost also reported that Fisher had been investigated previously for assault and stalking. He has not spoken since his arrest, according to reports, and no charges have been released.

A police spokesman was quoted as saying, “The whole two-roomed apartment was rigged up as one massive torture chamber, with this big old-fashioned telephone kiosk soundproofed as the cell for his victim.”

The police prosecutor said, “It is evident that the apartment was meant as a place of confinement for some time.”

The woman, who remains unnamed, is fortunate her captor forgot to lock the torture chamber he was holding her in. One shudders to think what might have happened had he not.

    I am confused. Did he take her because she was Jewish or an Israeli? If so this is more frightening than the idea of a man torturing a woman in such a horrendous way. If not, why is her nationality included in the headline? Let’s not become MSM by spinning the story. If her nationality is relevent, sound the alarms…again and again!

    Sounds like a fabricated story to me. More likely, he and she were into BDSM play, and they broke up and she was mad at him so like a typical woman, is willing to lie and perjure herself to get back at him. Women do this all the time in divorce court, and judges play right into their hands.

      You do know they get the details from the official police reports, right?

      Key word “reported”…I’d had mentioned the police report itself cause people who read have weirdness in their heads.

    This woman is likely to have gone through a personal hell in which no one would have been able to hear her agony or screaming in pain. Scalpels, explosives, fire extinguishers, sounds like a recipe for slowly torturing someone to death and then burning their remains. He needs to be caught and imprisoned or preferably killed for his intentions.
