‘It Will Fall on Their Heads Like Lightning’: Iran Warns Israel, Slams U.S. at Remembrance Ceremony

Irans Leaders Warn Israel, Slam U.S. During Imam Khomeini Commemoration Ceremony

Over the weekend, Iran’s leaders used the 23rd anniversary of the death of Islamic Republic Founder Imam Khomeini to bash the “Zionist” regimes in Israel and the U.S.

Thousands gathered in Tehran to hear Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei give his keynote address, where he cautioned the two countries not to undermine the Islamic awakening spreading throughout the Middle East. He also issued a stern warning to Israel not to make any future “misstep,” PressTV reports.

“The (Isreali officias) know that under the current circumstances, they are more vulnerable than ever. If they make any misstep or wrong action it will fall on their heads like lightening,” he said.

But Khamenei didn’t stop there. He also criticized the United States and said the country’s influence inside many nations across the globe is dwindling, the Tehran Times reports.

“Today, the West is putting on an affectation,” he said. “They are experiencing financial, economic, and social problems and are helpless with respect to their people. Several pro-U.S. governments in Europe have been toppled. If the people find an opportunity, they will eliminate any trace of the United States’ arrogance that can be seen in Europe.”

Khamenei went on to argue that the U.S. has blown Iran’s nuclear ambitions out of proportion and the government is attempting to convince the world that a nuclear Iran is dangerous only to avert attention from their own “problems.” However, he did make it clear: the United States should be afraid of Iran.

“They are deceitful. What they are and should be afraid of is not a nuclear Iran, but is an Islamic Iran,” Khamenei said, according to a translation by PressTV.

“It is Islamic Iran that has triggered an earthquake that is shaking the pillars of the hegemonistic powers,” he continued. “The Iranian nation has proved that a nation can make true progress without dependence on the United States, without reliance on the self-proclaimed powers.”

Irans Leaders Warn Israel, Slam U.S. During Imam Khomeini Commemoration Ceremony

Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (File photo)

Further, during a meeting with journalists and political activists in Tehran on Sunday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad encouraged Muslim nations to work together to boost their independence, according to the Islamic Ahlulbayt News Agency.

“All people form any background or color or region or races are regarded the same in Islam and it is a religion for all mankind,” Ahmadinejad said. ”Iran will resist hegemonic powers’ demands which ask Tehran to halt its ideals in defense of the oppressed nations and groups and in the meantime, their calls for the halt of Tehran’s peaceful nuclear activities,” he added, referring to the U.S. and Israel.

Ahmadinejad explained that his country is ready to join hands with all Muslim countries, including Egypt, to lead the world into “peaceful co-existence,” the news agency reports. Unless you are the U.S. or Israel of course – the great Satan and little Satan respectively.

This is from the leader of the country that just weeks ago sentenced four homosexuals to death by hanging, branding them as enemies of Allah for committing sodomy, according to the Human Rights Activist News Agency (HRANA).

“Iranian and Egyptian nations should work actively and closely to make a more just world and in the meantime, the global sovereignty of monotheism,” he added.

Calling for a united Islamic world against the West certainly hints that what Ahmadinejad is actually referring to is an Islamic caliphate. Talks of the caliphate – one global government ruled by Islam – are becoming more frequent as of lately, particularly now that the effects of the “Arab Spring” are starting to be realized and radical Islamic groups like the Muslim Brotherhood are coming to power in the Middle East.

Huh. I didn’t realize that Iran was not Islamic. Christianity must have taken hold there when we weren’t looking.

The world doesn’t fear an Islamic Iran because that is what Iran has been for thousands of years. The world fears a nuclear Iran because the leaders and Mullahs prach hatred and openly threaten to destroy other nations. Pretty simple really.

Iran has been Islamic since the middle of the 7th century, when the Arabs rose up out of the peninsula and invaded Iran. Before that, they were Zoroastrian, and Christian, and Jewish.

It’s not thousands of years, but it’s a long time, all right.

Okay. Yes and No. I think Iran which was the epicenter of new Islamic Mulha Shira law “caliphates” that started in 1970′s the a. Khomenei -picking up on the depressed and despairing young people – who focused their despair on those who ignored their faith and monkeys and pigs (the USA and Israel) are now a generation past and still poor, MORE oppressed and more angry than before. The insane zealots who spread this hate and re-invented terrorism as we know it – are still strong, witness the lie of the Muslim Brohood (sounds like the Black Panthers) – BUT the despairing are only tricked for so long. I think while Amenijihadist or whatever the whack job secular dictator of Iran is – is probably not “overthrowable” (yet) the spiritual voodoo chief – Khamenei totally is – he is seen by a lot of young as a figurehead who is impotent or worse. Amenjihadist hates him already…so if the caliphate and hoax of Muhllas and Imams builds and I think it is – then you have secular dictators ruling in the name of Islam and that doesn’t take long to show itself for what it is – totalitarian oppressive and insane – and the support then rests only on the fear of the people…who hopefully are finally having enough….but – just to be safe Israel should turn Iran into the largest collect of glass (super heated sand) in the world

Joe — Iran has been a state sponsor of terrorism since 1979. They fund and train Hezbollah which regularly attacks Israel and has attacked the US. The Beirut bombing that stole American lives was an Hezbollah event.

What surprises me is that Iran is still alive and pushing its evil agenda. Had a woman version of Bibi been in charge, Iran would be a smoking, radioactive ruin today. Women have less tolerance for threats to the welfare of their children than men do. However, eventually even men will defend.

Hezbollah has no presence in South America. Romney just made that up. He has zero evidence for that. Iran is negotiating with several South American countries for trade and economic purposes… but to suggest there are Muslim terrorists being given safe haven in extremely Catholic Spanish speaking countries is BEYOND ridiculous.

As for the casualties we’ve suffered in the Middle East, if we didn’t send troops to the Middle East in the first place, they wouldn’t ahve become casualties.

You are spot on. While Islam did have a Golden Age when they pulled ahead of Europe when said continent went through the Dark Ages, they have regressed far since then. Where once they preserved the works of ancient Greek philosophers they not reject them. Where once they embraced math and science they are now fundamentalists who only use science to increase their power. And should the day come when they ever rise above this these past centuries will be as much a blight on their history as the pre-Enlightenment years are for European and Western history.

That has a lot to do w/global climate change for the colder in Europe, invaders’ pressure fm the East; but the “Dark Ages” really were not all that dark. They were a rearrangement of political affairs in Europe with the failure of the western Roman Empire.

Additionally, the islamic world only “flowers” when it has other civilizations to prey upon. The “classic” islamic art and architecture is fully beholden to Byzantine/Roman art and architecture. The math came fm Indian ideas.

For the islamic world to move forward means they will have to drop the idea of Mohammad as the ideal man and his way as the only way. He is a man locked in the 7th Arabian culture of the central western coast of the Arabian peninsula.

You have a similar problem in the Far East. Until China moves to a more Western mode of thought, it will remain a backward-looking culture as well. They can copy and improve, but they have a really hard time inventing new stuff. Same thing applies to the islamic world.

Yadda yadda yadda… The Bible clearly states that once Israel is replanted in the land it will NOT be uprooted. Their moon god is not going to do much. It is the moon!!!!! Israel will probably hit Iran first and pretty hard too.

The Bible also clearly states that God, the real one, once His tarriance is concluded, which is more than likely in the not too distant future, will destroy the children of the bondwoman. While Iran is not enumerated among these people, for these to be either removed entirely or disabled significantly does not bode well for Iran. It will no longer have proxy fighters in the area.

According to the Bible, there is enough of Iran left o be involved in the endtime war. The thing to remember for their to be an endtime war, Israel is live and well and apparently militarily strong enough to be a threat.

I believe the Bible and its prophecies for one simple reason. They all come true. The Quran, on the other hand, has had no prophecy at all that has ever come true.

    Do the math people.

What is coming is not going to be pretty. It also isn’t what these poeple are saying either. These are a cursed people they live and breathe a curse. They are going to be used as a rod of judgement for Israel, but not in the way they may wish to be used.

One also has to remember after God has used a kingdom as a rod of judgement, He breaks the rod. Remember what happened to Egypt, Assyrian, Babylon, Greece, Rome etc. etc. etc.

Joe — you obviously do not really understand the islamic system. There is no bargaining w/it for life, liberty, and the pursuit of personal happiness.

Islam is a system that dictates how each person is to live his/her life. It’s systematic all the way down to which hand to wipe your fanny with. If you get out of line w/shariah, you will be dealt with in the harshest of ways. It’s double layered – one set of rules for muslims and one for all others. For instance, should you steal fm a muslim man, your right hand will be cut off. If you steal fm a non-muslim, nothing happens. Non-muslims (aka infidels) are fair game for all manner of harsh treatment, incl what we call murder. It takes two muslim women testimony to equal that of one muslim man. Non-muslims can testify only after torture since they regard us as inherently unreliable.

Just look at the number of goats and camels that walk funny and look at all males as suspicious. We should nuke em just for Peta’s sake. Who cares if they openly call for the eradication of an entire peeps, we should do it for Peta’s sake. Word yo.

Ausername – then explain how Iranian arms came to kill Americans in Iraq? Explain how Iranian operatives (Hezbollah) killed over 200 Americans in Beirut and Saudi Arabia (Khobar Towers). Explain how Iranian operatives (Hezbollah) are running around readying for attacks on our homeland fm South America? Explain how they are in bed w/the drug cartels, esp Los Zetas.

Iran is well versed in mischief making world wide.

      TZion -

I agree on both counts. But what Iran does is not any of our business… at all. If Israel wants to start a military quagmire with Iran, they are more than welcome to do so. But we should not be involved.

I’m am deeply worried that Obama will invade Iran to get more votes from the war-monkeys in the upcoming election.

Whatever, Iran dictators. You all lose in the end; most of us are sick of your empty rhetoric and garbage mouths against Israel or anyone else. Sad to know innocent people in your country can do nothing about it. The moment you throw fire into the sky, consider your story at an end. In other words, you will be history. What a lovely thought. {:
