‘It’s Constitutional, B**ches:‘ Political Fallout From SCOTUS Ruling Examined by ’Real News’

We knew that no matter how the Supreme Court ruled on ObamaCare Thursday, each side would likely use the decision as a rallying call for their base this November. But with the support for ObamaCare coming from Chief Justice John Roberts rather than the often swing voting Justice Anthony Kennedy, a fly may be in the ointment of the Obama campaign team’s plan to run against a partisan, mostly conservative court. With polls showing the race tight and additional polls showing most Americans wanted this law overturned – might this be an opportunity for Romney?

Democrats in Washington D.C. may also be doing themselves a disservice with instances of “spiking the football” for the affirmation of their unpopular law– Nancy Pelosi throwing a party and the DNC executive director tweeting “It’s Constitutional. Bitches” may rub some people the wrong way.

Furthermore, Roberts’ defense of the mandate as a taxing power rather than constitutional under the Commerce Clause, challenges claims made by the president that the healthcare law “isn’t a tax.”

On “Real News” Thursday the panel discussed how these developments will play out in the general election campaign:

    Why does Nancy Pelosi act drunk or drugged when she is talking? Is this just the way she is or does she have problems that should be looked at a little closer? Maybe she is on the verge of a stroke or something. She acts like she is at a PTA meeting or something and not aware of just where she really is. Maybe it is just the way she is. Who is to know? This woman is being used because she has money and is as slimy as the rest of those she stands with. She is an embarrassment to America.

    Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Holder, those people who put Obama in office and who are taking up for that criminal Holder, are just as dangerous as that face eater, perhaps more so, beceause the face eater played his hand where people could see how dangerous he is.     Why are the judges appointed by a president? They should be elected by the people so that this BS will not happen. Lifetime judges appointed by President is why we have had such crappy judges. The NWO just tells the president which judge should be appointed. The presidents should not have this much power.

      Now the left is going to have too deal with the truth. Obama is going to tax the middle class. This bill is all on the democrates. Thousand of Doctors will be closing their practice due to reimbursment and regulations set by the law so we will have a larger shortage the a large percentage will pt out and take cash only so their goes our health care. Hospitals will close due lack of funds so unemployment will continue to rise. Then no more home deduction intrest and taxes so why own a home it will no longer be a shelter …we will become a nation of renters. So good luck on that one Obama. We will get the last laugh.

      Wow. It’s a post such as this that makes me glad the Executive Branch appoints judges with the confirmation of the Senate, than elected by people such as you. Direct election of judges has been shown time and again to be a crapshoot at the local and state level; I’d rather trust indirect appointment.

Noble people do not lie and give away the wealth of America. Noble people do not divide races and use them to promote their agenda. Noble people do not keep porus borders whereby Americans are put in danger and overload the social systems, nor do they give criminals a pass and allow the ones who wait in line for passes to be put back because they tried to get here legally. This Obama is from hell, desguised as someone who cares for people who are of the black race and fringe groups to use them against America and the laws of this country.       @Dmony, That’s my take too. Roberts has indicated it could not be used (the mandate) under
      the Commerce law in the Constitution, but rather, it is a tax. That throws it back onto the Dems
      and, especially, Obama who said more than once that it was NOT a tax. Other Dems concurred.
      Every Dem who is facing reelection in Nov and voted for Obamacare will have to defend their
      vote if their constituents are pissed off.

      Just think when everyone realizes not only do they not get FREE healthcare, but the cost of their policy premium will go up to provide health care for illegals and deadbeats, because everyone has a “right” to health care. Guess Canada will no longer come here for superior health care. I worry about my parents, who are 80 and 72. Will they just be given pain killers if they get cancer again? Will I at age 48, still get cancer care since I’m “only” a stay at home mom?

    During the Holder vote on contempt: That bunch going off the floor of Congress made me want to puke. This looked like a tarzan move walk out with all those big mouth blacks leading the way like they could get some pats on the head from that impostor of a president. There were many white communist/Marxist/socialist leaners too who put on their best “indignant” acting face as they walked out. One big mouth black woman came back in to yammer, and yammer she did. She had to yammer on how this criminal was just being a political pawn and being used by the GOP, etc. Now we know why som many of them remained “down.” if this is the best they can do with a little bit of recognition and power. They have no more insight than a 12 year old when they want something they have to wait for. These people are not representative of black America. They are representative of a bunch of leftist/Marxist/communist who are fooling the American blacks into thinking someone is on their side for the first time in history. If this is so, explain Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Adam West, Herman Cain, Martin Luther King. Explain why they are even sitting in congress?     Roberts has single-handedly made the worst SCOTUS decision and set beck freedom more than any decision since Dred Scott vs Sampson in 1857. The only questions are: How much was the bribe or what was the threat or mental defect that caused his decision?

      I believe that Roberts was smart like a fox, leaving the decision to get rid of this Moron and

      Obamacare, with one swoop; up to a pissed-off American people. If Roberts had supported

      the Conservative view, then it would have still left the Moron with the possibility of being re-elected;

      now, if enough American citizens are pissed off enough, they will vote in number to also get rid of

      Obamacare and the Moron: its creator, in one whack. Good-bye, bad-luck, and good riddance.

      My thinking is along the same lines. Someone should ask the slackers, slouchers, takers, and freebie entitled masses a few questions in language they can understand. When the “gubment” forces us to become one of you, by taking away our right to pay for our own insurance what happens to YOUR slice of the freebie pie? You think medicaid is bad now, wait til you add a few more million ppl to it. You slackers have had it pretty good and now you have to share all your freebies with all the rest of us! Your beloved KING has just cut your “free” medicaid pie into a million pieces. No worries though we will all have plenty of time to debate and discuss how great free health insurance {not health care there is a diff.} is when we are all on the waiting list for months to see a doctor. Or, maybe we can all carpool and discuss it when we are driving 100 miles or more to see the doctor they say we can see. That already happens with medicaid. So freebie lovers everywhere, move over cause we are coming to share your piece of the freebie pie and you better hope you are healthier than us or you may find yourselves deemed unfit for treatment b/c whether you understand it or not there really is only so much to go around. The people behind this have plotted for decades how to break the finances of America because they are not brave enough to attack us militarily. They lied and got one of their own in, with the help of evil people who play the race card. Just always know this: We owe no man anything except to give them their rights to pursue happiness. We owe no man, woman boy or girl our heritage. Blacks and hispanics should kiss this ground that they are here, but they want to turn it into what they left. I guess it is cheaper than traveling home every week end. This is our country. They do not deserve it, nor can they have it.       I have a sister in law from the Netherlands, and she’s firmly convinced we will all get FREE health care, like the Netherlands, where you go to the doctor and don’t pay anything. Really? Then why are insurance companies saying premiums will go up 10-15%? I predict that doctors will fire their billing staff down to one person, not take ANY insurance, cash only, and YOU have to file with your insurance company/government (when all insurance companies fold). You can bet you’ll hear the libs crying then, when they have to deal with how long it takes to get their money, and then they don’t get reimbursed more than about a third of what they actually paid.

    just because the dnc says that obama is qualified to be potus does not make him eligible to hold the office.

    barry is NOT ELIGIBLE to be potus. when he is REMOVED from OFFICE, all the LAWS, APPOINTMENTS, ETC made by him GO AWAY.

      That was uncalled for. Roberts gave a gift to the other side and it will be seen before too many days. This bunch of mess has hardly been read by anyone. There are things in there that none of us know about that was written up in such a way as to affect one way or the other laws of Commerce that they were trying to get their grubby mitts into and spread their agenda even faster. By way of making this like a tax, it fell under a different agency and can be stopped. To strike it all down would leave this open for them to go the other route. It is more complex than any of us realize. As time goes on we will understand more why it looks like Roberts went out of his way to allow this. Just know it will work out in anyway but what this fraud President wanted it too. He will have to put our money where his mouth is but that will be for yet awhile and by then we will be able to get rid of this and him. If he is not voted out, then we at least have a chance to stop what he is doing.
