Ivy League Teen Pistol-Whipped Mom To Buy Her a Car

FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — Authorities in southwest Florida say a 17-year-old girl pointed a gun at her mother, pistol-whipped her and forced her to drive to a dealership to buy her a used car.

Ivy League Teen Pistol Whipped Mom To Buy Her a Car

The sheriff’s office in Lee County said Monday that the teen has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, among other counts, and was being held at a juvenile detention center. The Associated Press doesn’t identify minors charged with juvenile crimes.

According to officials, the mother said she didn’t want to press charges because her daughter had been accepted to several Ivy League schools.

Authorities said they decided to arrest the teenager after learning that the gun had been stolen last year. The teen was not charged in that crime.

This is the making of a modern day b*tch who will commit crimes way beyond just pistol whipping her mother. This child needs to be reformed in the harshest way possible – like perhaps not allow her to drive or to roam freely. It is obvious that the mother is afraid to press charges. How pitiful. Some parents are just so inept.

I had one very clear altimatum when I was younger… Dad said “You wanna be the one in charge here? Meet me in the back yard and TAKE my house from me.” At 15 I wanted to go over a friends house and we had relatives coming, so he said “No, Family First!”… I challenged him (I was a green belt after all)… My dad WHOOPED my ass and I NEVER to this day will EVER Challenge him. Not because of the Ass Whooping and I mean WHOOPing. But because He Forgave me and said he will always do whats best for me … Even if He dont want to. Man that Country Man hit Hard. and Loved Harder. I’ve witnessed the way some of these kids are treated by overly controlling parents, almost to the point of physical torture. Frequently the result is suicide, but sometimes these kids just “snap”. After many years of promised rewards for top performance not being given due to tiny made up “failures”, they can just explode. Imagine in 18 years having never gone to a friends birthday party..ever. Being required to forgo hobbies, sports, or friends. no TV, No popu;ar music, for your entire life, working to become the highest ranked student in your school….Then, you’re told the reward promised you was being denied, because last week you dropped a pot in the sink and startled your grandfather.
I think the “Tiger Mom” behind this future Ivy Leaguer may be re-thinking some of the verbal abuse, and lack of socialization of her daughter over the last 18 years.

terrible and unfortunate …yes, But, don’t get on the cops for not pressing charges……..

The mother would be doing her daughter a favor by charging her with the crime. Now this girl will see her mother as weak and she will go on to victimize her further. Her daughter may very well be on drugs.

This girl definitely needs to be taught a lesson.

    She also needs counseling!

In the meantime the mother must find a way to protect herself from her daughter.

Don’t expect the father to have her charged – I‘m betting he’s part of the problem. The mother? – hell, the father probably beats her or intimidates her unmercifiully – daughter is just doing what daddy does or allows. Children’s Services has to get involved now to find out what is going on in that house. You can say -spoiled brat – but as a Foster PArent – I’m betting daughter is sexually abused, daddy’s doing it- and momma is turning blind ey. See it a lot. If I’m wrong – and she’s justa spoiled little bitch – DA should go for the max and parents should demand it – because if not – next time she‘s going to kill’em.

That is unfair blaming the father when you don’t know the facts. My daughter which is 8 back talks her mother and is disrespectful as well to her mother. I think she picked this up at school. But she knows not to do that to me or with me around. I keep telling my wife that she must discipline for negative actions toward my wife. But my wife allows that behavior which is strange because my wife is filipino, and they have some cool ways to beat on their kids ;)

@ Mr. Logan — only you know the answer to that question. Only you know whether your grades and test scores would have gotten you admitted in a color blind system. I can tell you that, when I got admitted to law school, there were a lot of fellow 1L’s who assumed that I had gotten in with lower grades, because some women were, in fact, admitted using a lower standard. I couldn’t blame them. They had no way of knowing what my undergraduate grades and LSAT scores were. When the first semester’s grades came out, it shut them up. But, I couldn’t blame them for wondering initially.

Mr. Logan. I got distracted and didn’t include one point of my previous post. One of the insidious effects of affirmative action — aside from the obvious unfairness of giving unearned advantages to someone based on skin color or gender — is that those in protected groups who DO make it on their own merits often don’t get credit for it. Everyone always wonders whether they were admitted as a result of affirmative action, or because they actually had the smarts and the record to get admitted, regardless of skin color or gender.

I cannot imagine pulling a gun on my mother! I had just had my hair done one time when I was working, and my mother had something to say about the fact I’d spent money on myself. She hit my hair. I went to my room, and she followed me in there and hit it again. I felt my fist draw up, realized I wanted to “cold-****” her, and told her I would be moving out the next day. And, I did.

I’ll tell you exactly what happened. This is an immigrant I’m guessing (legal, illegal, whatever) and her daughter is first generation in the “land of opportunity.” This means that she has to get the highest marks and go to the best college, so her mom has been riding her hard throughout school. I bet the relationship is extremely tense between the two, the daughter wanting a somewhat average teen life and her mother pushing the academics extremely hard. The gun is an inappropriate action but I bet her mother had her quite stressed.

The mother should have beat the snot out of her before calling the cops. What the hell is wrong with these children. How can you raise a straight A student who uses violence to get what they want. It would be easier to understand if she was a dumb, lazy brat. But most kids who can get into ivy leagues on academic scholarships have to have worked hard and been very responsible. Makes no sense. Feel sorry for the mom, sounds like maybe she was trying. It takes a good deal to get kids to stay on top of their studies, she obviously wasn’t ignoring the child. Liberals raise their kids by giving them everything they want. Conservatives raise their kids by giving them everything they need. The difference between “want” and “need” is huge!

I agree, Wow! What is the telling statement in this story is the mother’s statement about not wanting to press charges because the girl was accepted to Ivy League colleges. That is unthinkable to me! It appears to me the parents are more at fault for all of this than the child. Parents if you don’t say no to your kids and stick to it when they are young, what the heck are you expecting from the kids when they have grown up. This might be a extreem example but none the less it is amazing to realize how out of control the parents brought up this kid. The parents didn’t get what they deserve, they should be sitting nest to theor daughter in jail, charged with raising a dangerous child. Parents need to be held account able for their children’s actions. I know some children are strong willed and are very diffecult to control. But the Bible does state spare the rod and spoil the child.

I host a young mens bible study for young highschool men. I have told them right out that my generation have contributed to their harder struggle against the world’s message of please self first and all else will come to you. That is such a false message, and my generation brought about the notion of “free” love, the sexual revolution, and many more distructive beliefs. Jesus said seek first the Kingdom of God and then all else will be added unto us.

THAT is exactly it! They will do ANYTHING to advance themselves, never mind anyone or anything else…Even your own parents.

Listen, I have/had a couple too…Despite our traditional values and strict rules my older two stepsons had the influences of divorced parents, public schools, and the “me, me, me” society and they too had the entitlement mentality. Wonder if she got the gun from Obammy’s Mexican-American Gun Delivery Program .? Probably going to Yale. Most of Yale is right near or encroaching the Hood. She’d be right at home.

The headline should read, “Affirmative Action Ivy League Teen Pistol-Whipped Mom . . . .”

      @thepatriotdave

I guarantee these two weren’t very friendly and I highly doubt the mother gave the girl whatever she wanted. I would bet anything the mom was an academic slavedriver.

Just because she is going to an ivy league college doesn’t mean she is smart. SHe must have got in because of her ethnicity.

Why can’t Blacks and Hispanics be more motivated to succeed like the Asians?, said the White man.

with kids behaving like this – yes – wow. My husband is a high school teacher for the last 23 years. He used to LOVE his job, the last 4 years have changed that. The disrespect, the outbursts, the parents who won’t discipline – like this girls mother, are making teaching impossible. I thank God every day for children who are polite and law abiding. I just can’t imagine having my child do that to me. Hopefully a few months in a juvenile detention center will straighten her up. Does not sound like she has had the word “no” told her very many times. guess the ivy league will have to wait.
