Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano won‘t say if she’ll stay on in her role should President Obama win a second term, she told the Arizona Republic in an interview this week.
When asked if she considered coming home to Arizona (where she used to be governor), she responded, “It’s certainly in my mind.”
“I don’t know if or when. … But I left a lot of my stuff in Arizona. And I’m still a registered voter there,” she added.
And just to make it clear that Napolitano seems to be waffling, the Republic added this paragraph regarding its 30-minute interview with the secretary:
It’s not clear whether her boxes will come out of storage anytime soon. If President Barack Obama wins a second term, most Washington observers believe he will ask Napolitano to stay on as head of the government’s third-largest department. For now, Napolitano won’t say what her answer would be. [Emphasis added]
Napolitano’s comments come on the heels of a lawsuit filed against her department (and specifically U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) that alleges a culture that discriminated against men. In fact, another affidavit has been filed in that case alleging sexual harassment.

Don’t think you are going to get out of any legal, ethical problems while you have been in office. With the right Congress to get a Special Investigator, you may want Ecquador to give you a home too!

Posted on August 16, 2012 at 12:27pmThat fat ***(ert) better run for jail awaits for her part in disassembling our security. If she spills her guts she may avoid jail, but she needs to go to some congressmen who will protect her. There are still a few who will stand like Gowdy, that dude Issa who seems to be taking them on and some more who are not letting their guard down and who are not afraid to speak up. She should know them better than I what they are.

Posted on August 16, 2012 at 12:17pmA line struck me…“third largest department”. So just a quick search…
Department of Defense: 611,658
Department of Veterans Affairs: 205,542
Department of Homeland Security: 128,791
Department of the Justice: 103,479
Department of the Treasury: 101,146
Wow, take the VA out and look at what’s left. Look at how much the government is spending on spying on us and keeping us in line…and of course extracting money from us. Nah, we don’t have a totalitarian problem. We need all of those IRS agents, DHS agents, TSA agents, etc. Who’s going to audit you? Who’s going to watch you on video? Who’s going to grope you? Who’s going to irradiate you? Who’s going to publish studies that label you as a terrorist? Who’s going to craft the lies to tell you? Who’s going to print all of our worthless money?
Managing your safety and freedom clearly takes a “village”.

Posted on August 16, 2012 at 12:16pmWe also have reasons strongly to suspect that Ms. Napolitano was also complicit
for failing to do anything but obstruct and stonewall our part-time investigation into the
whereabouts of 2,500 missing children — and young adults — who had reportedly
“disappeared” into Arizona’s Child Protective Services:
