Editor’s note: This video is part of an ongoing series on The Blaze featuring some of the Japan earthquake’s most breathtaking videos. We have numbered them sequentially so that it is easier to keep track. We will post them throughout our coverage.
This is a fantastic, detailed examination of what happens in the video above. The reporter is Carl Dinnen of Britain’s Channel 4 news. It is very much worth watching:

Posted on March 18, 2011 at 11:41amI can’t even imagine how the Japanese people feel. As I sat last night watching my TV with my Husband, dog and cats..I tried to think about all of that comfort being gone. Everything gone.

Posted on March 18, 2011 at 9:10amWords cannot express the human tragedy that unfolded a week ago but watching these little snips of real video just makes my heart ache for all the people of Japan as well as those affected by this tragedy.
I’m at a loss for words to express my feelings of grief.

Posted on March 17, 2011 at 10:47pmOh, God bless these people. The compassion they have is truly a gift. You know, we had this here in our own Country. On September 11, 2001 we were shocked by an attack that was unfathomable. For a short time afterwords, we had love & compassion for each other. I wish we could be kind to each other every day.

Posted on March 17, 2011 at 10:42pmWhy is it that all the news networks are covering is the nuclear power plants? There must be millions of stories like the one above that should be told. Somehow Americans can only make this about themselves. There are people suffering over there. It may be a developed country but it is now a wreck. More help needs to be sent there.

Posted on March 18, 2011 at 9:02pmBecause other power plants here use coal, oil and natural gas. one of this administration’s primary goals is to make us Green by forcing us to spend more green. ie temporary (read permanent) ban on off shore drilling, ban on fracking, ban on new nuclear plants etc. etc.

Posted on March 17, 2011 at 9:41pmHere’s a troubling story. US offered assistance very early in IF Japan dismantled the reactors.
Report Post »http://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=182524
The BBC link cited this: 2226The Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper, quoting a senior official of the ruling Democratic Party of Japan, said the US made the offer immediately after the disaster damaged Fukushima No 1 nuclear plant. According to the unnamed senior official, US support was based on dismantling the troubled reactors run by Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) some 250 km (155 miles) northeast of Tokyo. However, the government and TEPCO thought the cooling system could be restored by themselves, the report said. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/9428501.stm

Posted on March 18, 2011 at 7:59amAnd what other religion gives its members carte blanche to lie, cheat, rape, steal, sodomize, enslave, deceive and murder in order to advance the cause of their God? In the modern world, only Islam. And maybe Satanism.

Posted on March 18, 2011 at 11:14amSo every muslim is bad b/c they are in a satanic religion? Do you think there were many people who felt that way about the “Christian” church during the Middle Ages? There was nothing Christ-like about Christianity at that time. Surely if you had been a victim of the Inquisitions, you would be saying the same thing about Christianity.

Posted on March 17, 2011 at 9:11pmi am awed by the behavior shown throughout the country of japan as they go through this.
i shudder at the thought of the behavior here if we were in the same situation
just the thought of that makes me glad i am prepared to defend myself and family, while at the same time i am prepared to help those in need that are not a threat to my family
be forewarned if you are in the latter group, i will not be so merciful

Report Post »There will be much to be considered when “it” hits the fan here in America…..MUCH.
I pray for my neighbors, pray for those who believe their “cause’ is just and meet my rounds, pray for the individuals of the world. But.
Each of us have choices. Free will is given to us by God, and he waits to see. If your free choice is to infringe upon my lawn to evoke your will, then so be it. And God rest your soul. Those of you reading this and have made your choice for the wrong side, choose again wisely, for that other path leads to death.

Posted on March 18, 2011 at 8:30amI think it depends on where you live in America. We saw the worst of Americans during Katrina in New Orleans. We saw the best of America in Nashville during their floods recently. Stand ready to help the helpless. This video was raw and heart healing. The Japanese are so caring for each other. We are like them.

Glenn asked today that those who are able to donate to help the Japanese people .. I have .. and using this link you can donate as little as $10. It is what Americans do .. Hollywood and other celebrities don’t seem to be stepping up .. but the American People can and will.

Posted on March 18, 2011 at 3:35amAmericans learn a lesson from the polite and courteous Japanese. Resiliance is far from their description.
There is a reason i self-branded the kanji for “Bushido” and “Virtue’ into my arm. These people, and their way of every day life should be a model for all to live by in modern society.
You say to this tragedy, “Yeah, look at katrina!”
Yup. Look at Katrina, and look at how the animals here in America reacted vs the humans in Japan during this National crisis.
Stunning contrast.
One that should be viewed side by side here in America.
Semper Fi, Japan. You demonstrate the standard for which all humanity should strive.
