Bless their hearts – they’re so polite that they use their directional signals in the midst of a tsunami (the vehicle at the very beginning of this vid:) We got some action here, but mostly just a very long night. Say your prayers for the folks of Japan – this is far, far from over.

My son lived in Japan for three years. He taught English in the elementary/middle schools. We went to visit him when he was there, which was about 4 years ago. Japan has to be one of the greatest countries in the world. The people are hard working, very proud, and super nice. They take care of their cities, streets, towns, railways, subways, public places and their countryside. You could eat off the ground, it is so clean there. The subways and train stations were spotless, the public bathrooms were so clean you could live in them. Their proud traditions that they have kept alive for centuries are seen everywhere you go. They are a kind and meek people, and never once did you have to worry about anyone robbing or mugging you.
When I heard about this, my heart ached for these people. They do not deserve this. But I have faith in them, they will pick up and go to work and clean up this mess. They will not complain, or whine, or ask for help. They will do what they have to do, and they WILL get it done. That is the kind of people they are.

My response is to Augie, go to godaddy.com and find a domain name that is close to yours. Perhaps rent a website, Augienews.com, perhaps you only get two people or 200 hundred, who read your posts there, but hey it is more useful then posting on this blog or message board. …….who seek Him

The mighty power…………for those who think the “Flood” is a fairy tale, please consider:
Genesis 7:11 In the six hundreth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, (earthquakes) and the windows of heaven were opened.

I used to think it was the “rains” that caused the flood. I don’t recall ever being taught the first part of this verse. Re-read the verse) Got it? ” …were all the fountains of the great deep broken up”
    Just sayin………….

These video’s and especially those still “pics” from theatlantic.com posted by theblaze on Friday really bring the power of our Creator into focus

I went against an Augie in my HS football days. I was a mere 5′10″ and 183lbs. while he was an emmense 6′ and 230lbs. the entire Elk Grove bleachers were yelling, “Agie, Augie, Augie”, encouraging him to do what they were used to him doing to other teams as middle linebacker. Unfortunately for him, on every play (I mean every play) I would hike the ball, pop off themline and punch his ticket. He just didn’t have the where-with-all to use what God had given him to thwart his opposition. Kind of like you and your post. Your ticket has already been punched because you don’t have the W-W-A to use what God has given you. Me thinks you may have about 230lbs of useless crap between your ears. Better learn to use it if you want to be successful in thwarting the opposition.

We as humans still have dominion here.Think about it this way, a tiny fraction of the land mass has changed. This has been happening throughout geologic history. We see the evidence. Many grand things have happened, and we survive. Of course we need to help, and of course we need to understand how small we are INDIVIDUALLY, but we are the ones placed here by God. I am amazed at how well people in Japan are doing. They are helping themselves, dealing with the hand they were dealt. Those are the people I most want to help. The video is truly breathtaking.

The reactors are cold-water designed – NOT/NOT gas graphite. They cannot “melt down” and even if, as it seems at least one did, the water level were to expose the rods to air, it would, by design, stop the chain reaction.

This is the key difference between modern/western nuclear power plant designs and Chernobyl.

Also, the explosion was caused by hydrogen and while it destroyed some outer walls, it did not impact the metal containment chamber – after which, measured radiation DECREASED. Again, suggesting that rods were exposed to air, and just as designed, when so exposed, the chain reaction stopped. They will cool the reactors down, restore main water cooling while using temporary methods and prove that despite a 9.1 quake, existing nuclear power technology is quite safe.

For now, we need to stop using the term “melt down” and cease referring to this event in the context of Chernobyl.

It can’t hurt, and very well may help. I grant you that some of the 11 events are man created, however I do not find it a coincidence that this Japan disaster occured on the 11th. To me it reads, beware, be warned, and be ready.

I can think of no better way to be ready than the body of Christ on earth Unified in a day of prayer. 4-11 seems appropriate

The world I remember is a distant memory. All I see is strife and pain. I pray these things bring us closer to God.
