Posted on March 12, 2011 at 10:49pmOur household have prayed for them and then we are making plans to get rid of some non-essentials in our house so we can give more money. What really irks me is how these politicians have bilked the system with a money laundering scheme called a ‘stimulus package’. Not only have they taken from reserve funds that could and should be used to help Japan, they have caused every household to be economically depleted. We are all generous Americans and will give all we can, but this is the very time when we need a robust economy so we can help others. This administration and drunken senators and representatives are trying to douse the American spirit by depleting our individual assets. We must come together and say, “NO MORE gambling with our ability to help others”, to these nutty senators and representatives who have been in public service (public stealing) too damn long!

Posted on March 12, 2011 at 8:26pmThe video that comes after the helicopter rescue (starting at 1:15) is even more awe inspiring. Imagine standing on that hill and watching the water pour through the streets of your home.

Posted on March 12, 2011 at 3:37pmIt’s too bad to be true! Almost surreal and over-dramatic. I wonder if some of these towns will even be salvageable?

Posted on March 12, 2011 at 4:21pmI doubt Japan will never be the same, but sometimes that’s a good thing. I’ve seen Discovery channel programs on what futuristic plans Japan has, perhaps they’ll have the space to become feasible after this mess is cleaned up. God is good, all the time.

Posted on March 12, 2011 at 4:55pmOne thing the Japanese do well is planning and learning from the past. I don’t know if you saw the footage of what Hiroshima and Nagasaki looked like after the bombs went off, but they didn’t wait around whining and moaning about it like some groups I could name. They got to work and dealt with it. It’s common knowledge that there will be earthquakes and tsunamis, that’s why they have the sirens and the seawalls in place. They will survive this, just as they have so many other times because they are resiliant and look forward to the future.

Posted on March 12, 2011 at 3:26pmFirst they are shaken by the strongest earthquake on record, then the tsunami comes along and takes away anything that survived the quake! I feel so sorry for these people! Wonder who’ll be busier; insurance adjusters or mental health professioinals?

Posted on March 12, 2011 at 7:24pmYes, their building standards are very high when earthquakes are involved, but the tsunamis are utterly destructive to just about anything in their path. Heartbreaking

Posted on March 12, 2011 at 3:47pmThis level of devastation is just incomprehensible. Trusted, private charitable organizations will soon gain access to the scene to provide aid. As always, compassionate Americans will give to ease the suffering of those affected. Whatever our situation or challenges, personally or domestically, let’s not forget to cultivate a spirit of gratitide for all the blessings we do have.

Posted on March 12, 2011 at 5:50pmWatch the other hand, folks. With all the panic and chaos around the Japan earthquake, be prepared for our Administration to pull something while our back is turned. Keep an eye out.
My heart breaks for the people involved in Japan. How quickly their world was turned upside down.

Posted on March 12, 2011 at 6:04pmThe power of that water is absolutely frightening as you see entire building structures, automobiles and about everything in its path being swept away. I fear this is going to be extremely bad once all of the dead are counted and the damages assessed. Nature really has a way of showing man how dependent we really are on God for all we have and our very existence. Like my wise mom always said do not put your trust in material things, everything you have worked your whole life for can be taken away in an instant.

Posted on March 12, 2011 at 7:10pmWow, is right. That did look like the roof of the Sendai Airport which was inundated by the tsunami. The power of nature, the power of God. What a helpless feeling it must be to be there. Thank God for the rescue teams and, God please help the people of Japan.
