Jarrett Refuses to Back Emanuel for Chicago Mayor

Speaking on this morning’s “Morning Joe” with political reporter Mark Halperin, White House adviser Valerie Jarrett refused to support former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel:

Jarrett: “Mark I hear you are in Chicago, my hometown.”

Halperin: “Valerie I am and I’m delighted to be here. And the coverage of Rahm has been wall-to-wall and brutal. Part of his problem, as you know, is this is a pretty diverse city with a lot of different constituencies. I understand why the president has to be kind of laid back but Nancy Pelosi endorsed Rahm for mayor. I‘m wondering if this morning you’ll endorse Rahm and say he’s your choice for mayor of Chicago?”

Jarrett: “I don’t think anybody is interested in my choice for mayor of Chicago. My focus is right here and he hasn’t even announced yet. I think this weekend he announced he’s doing his listening tour; allowing people in Chicago all around the neighborhoods to tell him what they think. So, we’ll be watching closely from afar.”

Halperin: “So unlike Nancy Pelosi, you’re not willing to endorse him?”

Jarrett: “I think the president said it best, ‘He’ll be a terrific terrific mayor if he’s elected.’”

Jarrett has long been involved in Chicago politics, serving in Mayor Richard Daley‘s office in the 90’s. Many have credited her with aiding the career of Barack Obama after hiring Obama’s wife, Michelle, to work along side her in the mayor’s office.

    @ Rita, the Obamas’s, Clintons and all their like will go away, if and when we get and stay in their way.

    Building corrupt political dynasties, like Hollywood, has become fashionable in American. Term limits is a great concept, but not one that will gain momentum in our great Houses until We the bosses force it to happen in our Novembers. Many insiders will always play and think according to the old evil rules of American politics. We must stay the long course demonstrating diligence and vigilance to restore honor and decency amongst those we grant limited, and short term power. This November will prove a start, and reinitiate tremendous responsibility on those who show up at the polls to stay informed and stay at the polls.

    I pray that most who appear as the better choices this time around will be seriously challenged by better voices in the near future. Only our watchful eyes and constant participation will make the best amongst us take temporary lead. Only We can relentlessly beat back the certain rise of corruption that every election cycle offers.

    That entire Whitehouse crew reeks of corruption and dishonesty. I still want to know Who paid for Obamas education and financed his rise to power. His mother was a radical hippy flower child, his father was a radical Muslim. I haven’t heard where his grandmother was in the chips. So where did the money come from? I don’t think a community organizer makes the kind of money needed to run for the senate and president. Donations? Who and why would money like that flow into a relatively unknowns cofferes? something just smells fishey to me and these are questions I have never addressed. Even on Fox news or by Glen Beck.

    Communist Valerie Jarrett is one of the biggest problems we have in this country now. Jarrett and Michelle Obama are Barack Obama’s closest advisors. The country is being dismantled by Jarrett and the Obama’s. They think everyone’s money and wealth should be taken , and given to others, except for their personal wealth , they see themselves as the elite , at the top. Evil.

    This is B S Rahm Emanuel isn’t eligible to run for Mayor in Chicago. He hasn’t been a resident of Chicago for a while. He is like the rest of Obama’s regime Bailing out of a sinking ship.

      Do you really think some little minor detail such as residency will stop Rahm? There’s always a way around things like that in Politics. Favors, money, promises of power. You can make any problem disappear, especially in Chicago.

    What difference does it make as to who Jarrett endorses. Who cares. It’s the people of Chicago who matter and what they think. If Nancy Pelosi endorsed Rahm for mayor, it’s probably not a good thing for Rahm. How many people do you think really respect what Nancy Pelosi thinks. Matter of fact, how many Obama supporters even know who she is? Just sayin…

    Man, I just lover her dentures. I wonder if a POLYGRIP endorsement is around the corner after hse daprts the whitehouse?
    According to Happy Gilmore she might be a golfer due to some of her physical atrtibutes matching those of his accountant.
    My point is this: She is as disgusting to look at as the rest of the current regime. I am only shining a light on this and attacking her personally after pointing out that she too is a marxist slimeball.

How can she choose yet when she has not seen the polls that will tell her who to meet with and work an angle to acquire more buildings to steal money from the poor.       Obviously. we do not know enough about this woman whom it has been shown practically runs Barack Obama. I want more in depth reports about her – considering how radical Obama’s czar choices have been, and that Jarret is said to steer those.

      Rahm was likely pushed out, it is pretty obvious there is no love lost between these two top advisers.
