Posted on September 18, 2010 at 9:54amLeno is generally hilarious. Everyone here would be praising him if he had said the same thing about President Obama. I don’t think Palin is “stupid” but she doesn’t brim of massive intellect, nor is she at all qualified to be President. I’m not sure why so many conservatives seem intent on squandering our momentum with some of their picks.
Although if Palin would drop the ear burning “mother grizzly” schtick when she speaks I think I’d like her a lot better… apparently a lot of people enjoy things being dumbed down to them, though.

Posted on September 18, 2010 at 10:35amWith all due respect, she is far more qualified to be a president than the union community organizer thug who currently holds the position! She, at least, has run an entire state. What did Mr. Obama ever run beyond making conservative people run from Chicago? Did he run the office of union organizer thugs? I don’t believe that, whatever he HAS run, it stands up to having run an entire state, and doing that very well. I have no desire to insult anyone’s intelligence, but I am sorely disgusted with having my own intelligence insulted for the past three years by people who opine that Mrs. Palin is less qualified to run the office of the president than Mr. Obama. Put beside her qualifications, his are infinitesimal. He never even ran a city. At least Sarah Palin did that. She was both a mayor of a city AND a governor of a state. He was a community organizer. Put resume against resume, I wonder what people don’t see? I used to know a shoe-shine man who had a vocabulary rivaling any English professor with whom I have ever spoken. That man could have made you believe he went to Oxford on a Rhodes Scholarship. BUT HE WAS AND NEVER WOULD HAVE BEEN ANY MORE QUALIFIED TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT OF THE USA THAN Mrs. Palin.

Posted on September 18, 2010 at 10:59amSarah Palin has been in executive level politics for almost 20 years.
Some of Sarah’s accomplishments.
In Alaska, Sarah’s top priorities included fiscal restraint, limiting the size of government, resource development, education, equitable oil valuation as well as transportation and infrastructure development. Sarah Palin fought for ethics reform and transparency in government.
Sarah Palin has a long record of achievement and experience in public office.Prior her election as Governor, Palin served two terms on the Wasilla City Council and two terms as the mayor of Wasilla. During her tenure, she reduced property tax levels while increasing services and made Wasilla a business-friendly environment, drawing in new industry.
Under her leadership as Governor, Alaska invested $5 billion in state savings, overhauled education funding and protected Alaska’s natural resources. She created Alaska’s Petroleum Systems Integrity Office to provide oversight and maintenance of oil and gas equipment, facilities and infrastructure and the Climate Change Subcabinet to prepare a climate change strategy for Alaska.
During Governor Palin’s first year in office, three of her administrations major proposed pieces of legislation passed—an overhaul of the state’s ethics laws, a competitive process to construct a natural gas pipeline and a restructuring of Alaska’s oil valuation formula.
Palin is past chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, a multistate government agency that promotes the conservation and efficient recovery of domestic oil and natural gas resources while protecting health, safety and the environment. She also served as chair of the National Governors Association (NGA) Natural Resources Committee, which was charged with pursuing legislation to ensure state needs are considered as federal policy is formulated in the areas of agriculture, energy, environmental protection and natural resource management.
Sarah Palin’s successful efforts to stop the cronyism and reform the energy business in Alaska were so impressive Kay Cashman, the publisher and executive editor of Petroleum News, wrote the book entitled: “Sarah Takes On Big Oil” (http://tinyurl.com/ygkeo2f) . This is a must read for anyone who wants to understand the leadership Sarah Palin has exhibited in the area of reforming government and industry.
We should also remember that Sarah, while working as the state’s chief energy and environmental regulator, found massive corruption within her own Republican Party. Those included were the party chairman, and a former Attorney General. When she was through fines were paid, and some were trotted off to prison.
While Governor Palin has a history of being a reformer and taking on powerful interests for the benefit of ordinary people, Obama’s history is that of a tool of special interests, be they unions, trial lawyers, ACORN, or Wall Street.

Posted on September 18, 2010 at 3:43pmCrusader,
What Sara Palin brings to the table concerning her ability to govern, is like all candidates, unknown. BUT, the very well known attribute that she does possess, is much the same as the Bag Pipes were for the Scottish Regiments. As one Officer explained their use, “They scare the hell out of the opposing force. The sound of the Pipes is so foreign to the human ear, that on many occaisions the enemy would break ranks and run long before the battle even began!!” And so it is with Sara Palin, she does scare the hell out of the Progressive/Communists. So the longer and louder that she plays the easier it will be for us to defeat them once the battle is joined. So I am all for letting her do all she can to soften up things for us, we will after all, have to fight these scumbags sooner or later.

Posted on September 18, 2010 at 9:36amThere’s all kinds of stupid. I don’t know if Mrs. Palin is seeking the presidency, she hasn’t confided that to me. I do know that the demolibersocialcommies have shredded her, with some help from her own people, so badly that I think the shallow people of all political parties would be afraid to vote for her. The thing I hear people say the most about Mrs. Palin is that they don’t trust her because she gave up her job as Governor of Alaska, and they don’t trust her to stay the course when things get rough because of that. I personally haven‘t made any judgement about that fact because I don’t believe the question as to why she stepped down was actually answered satisfactorily. I‘d understand personally if she stepped down so that her ethics investigation problems weren’t a distraction to her being able to tend to state business. But those problems seemed to disappear as soon as she left office, which made me suspicious that she had been threatened. I am not saying that happened. I am only suspicious out of normal curiosity. Personally, I like her ideas and the way she shook Alaska up, sort of like what Gov. Chris Christie is doing in the great state of NJ. It wouldn’t be the worst thing to shake up those well-established politicians in DC who think, no BELIEVE ABSOLUTELY that we can’t find our butts with a map and need them to tell us how to run our lives. Posted on September 18, 2010 at 10:56amSarah didn’t “quit”; she reloaded in order to fight for what is right on a fairer battlefield.
She promised to keep the frivolous anti-Palin law suits away from the Alaskan people ( saving tax money and time) and to be more effective on the stump ( supporting candidates , fundraising, etc)
Sarah Palin was truthful on both accounts
Sarah Palin resigned because she recognized the cost that the frivolous ethics complaints were having on her state , and she saw how much of her staff’s time and her own time were forced to deal with those issues. She wasn’t able to effectively fulfill her role as Governor, so she passed the reins onto someone who didn’t have to be concerned that if he sneezed in the Lower 48, an ethics complaint would be thrown at him.
Palin’s entire administration was paralized by those frivolous complaints, only an idiot wouldnt be able to see or admit that.
She saw that if she stayed on as Governor it would continue to cost the state millions of dollars in wasted time and resources to defend against false and maliciously ethics complaints and doom it to gridlock.
Report Post »Sarah had to step down for the better of her state and it was the honorable thing to do.
She promised that she would “effect positive change outside of Government”, and she has most definitely done that.
Sarah has been able to speak more boldly for both Alaska and all Americans for the conservative principles this country was founded on now that she is outside of office and without the concern of a possible ethics violation been thrown at her.

Posted on September 19, 2010 at 5:56amSarah stepped down from the Gov’s chair because of all the time and effort that was being eaten up by the ridiculous, spurious ethics complaints that were being filed.
i.e. a complaint because she was wearing a jacket with the logo of a particular snow machine (you folks call them something else, up here there either snow machines or just sleds) at the finish of a race.
It’s impossible to walk down the street in Fairbanks in the winter and not see at least half a dozen jackets or parkas with sled logos.
Her remaining time in office would have cost the state a bunch, since all the claims, no matter how ridiculous and spurious they were had to be “investigated”.
Her biggest problem is the she and her family are “just folks”. She is an extremely intelligent person and a quick study. Katie Couric hasn’t got the cojones (female equivalent) to have a rematch now that she (Katie) can’t blindside Sarah. Sarah thought she was dealing with a journalist, she didn’t realize she was dealing with a total progressive propagandist shill.

I didn’t vote for him because when I saw him on TV, his arrogance made my skin crawl. It was always going to be about him, all him, all the time, exactly like Scott Peterson, one of America’s most recently famous narcissistic sociopaths, and look what he did to his own beautiful wife because their unborn son, his own flesh and blood, was getting in the way of HIM, HIM, HIM! I got the exact same feeling when I saw Obama on TV as when I had seen Scott Peterson on TV. And this president has certainly spared no effort on his part to murder this country. The similarities between the two men are sickening! I never trusted that Mr.Obama would put our country’s well-being first, and that has been borne out by the facts. I’m not patting myself on the back. I wish I could adequately say how much I hoped I was wrong about this man, because if I was right, every citizen in this country loses, even those who love him, they just don’t know it yet. Most people don’t vote according to their feelings, they actually vote based on what they hear, and how closely they agree with what is said. I’m not putting anyone down, I just believe that’s true. Glenn has said, get on your knees and ask God for whom you should vote. That is the best advice I’ve heard. If you don’t believe in God, that’s OK. Just quietly go inside yourself and allow yourself to think about your vote and the people who are asking for it and allow yourself to validate how you feel about that by honoring your feelings with your vote. God Bless America!

Posted on September 18, 2010 at 9:22amSince when was a little anger bad?
What’s wrong with righteous indignation?
The fear of the Lord is to HATE EVIL. This is good hate.
The truth is that the progressive left doesn’t want people to be angry, instead they are villainizing hate and anger to make people look bad when they’re really not.
Be angry but do not sin!

Posted on September 18, 2010 at 9:21amJay Leno’s ratings are tanking and this comment is going to send them even further into the basement. Leno is a “has-been” with no principles or beliefs of his own and he panders to the liberals who run the entertainment industry. In eighteen months he will be history. He can work on his cars and stop annoying the rest of us.

Posted on September 18, 2010 at 12:05pmI believe that, in this country, the main conflict is beween the regular folks and the ‘elite’. Some call them Intellectual elite, but that is arguable. As it turns out the country is split: regular folks, mostly fairly conservative and a an elite cadre composed of leftist, quasi socialistic, opportunists and their sycophantic followers, all working hand in hand with the DNC and other 3-card monte hustlers (the race card, the poor card and the gay card). The perfect democratic constituent is a black/hispanic ,gay/lesbian; sick/dying; person addicted to heroin/cocaine, who somehow survived a back alley abortion attempt, and still believes in state funded abortion.
Report Post »Entitlements will be a big issue in 2012 despite what the elections bring. If the dems keep going like they have been, there won’t be any cash left, and if the conservatives prevail they will cut a bunch of expensive stuff to lighten the load. Either way, we could see scenes in the street like we saw in Greece last month. The elite don’t suffer the violence, they observe, critique, and predict high up in their“ivory” towers. These are the enemy. They want to rein in the ‘regular folks’. they want to make our choices for us. They feel they have the elevated view-point. They say, “I give to charity, and I talk to congressmen, and I’ve been through the national Archives to see the constitution, etc. etc. etc.. For all that, they are sycophants themselves.
Marie Antoinette notoriously stated the people should eat cake, when she was told that the people had no bread. These people enrage me. make me a little nauseous, too.

Posted on September 18, 2010 at 11:33amAs little of an issue that this is, that on the surface it’s pure idiocy, which can be funny by way, the pure shallow idiocy of a comedian an entertainer, but one thing beyond that comes to mind: No one ever charges liberals with having to actually articulate the negative image of Palin beyond superficial slurs, such as, “she’s stupid” and other bumper sticker comments . . . people laugh and carry on and the contrived image of Palin is raised high for everyone to see.
But if she’s believed to be “stupid” then tell us why . . . present a case and make it. Tell us why she’s stupid and make it logical and intelligent so that it can be understood and is convincing . . . as by way of being grounded in truth.
But no one ever demands that Jay Leno or other libs and lib enablers like Geraldo for instance, that they articulate what reality and truth their comedy is grounded in or attached to . . . Tell us Jay, why is she stupid . . . enlighten us.
The point is there is no truth in what’s being laughed at violating true comedic value based upon some measure of truth and reality of the human condition. Their humor is a simple demonstration of the liberal mind and mindset, of what they laugh at and tell themselves is funny . . . But more seriously, it’s one of the ways in which they attempt to define someone or some idea that opposes them, by projecting what’s not real, what’s false. They’re very well schooled at doing this . . . understanding that is part of knowing liberalism as a disease of society.
And it’s not ironic then that this is the exact way in which they define themselves and their own realities including the Tea Party, and such things as global warming, or the logic behind government takeover of society at large . . . they simply make things up. Barack Obama, the image, is walking testament of this.
But time and evolution cannot be stopped, Liberals will have to evolve, be made to understand that the Tea Party is all about putting an end to their monopoly on creating realities in America that are not grounded in truth or anything that resembles truth. Their gilded benevolence, once the shiny surface becomes rubbed off, it leaves them looking like, Jay Leno, the comedian, the joke. The Tea Party though, isn’t laughing . . .
