JC Penney Catalog Featuring Lesbian Moms Prompts Another Boycott From One Million Moms

At first, the online group One Million Moms (OMM) was angry with JCPenney for hiring Ellen DeGeneres as as a spokeswoman. Now it’s the retail giant’s May catalog has the group up in arms:
In an official statement on its website, OMM slams JCPenney for pretending to be “neutral in the culture war.” The statement goes on to argue that the store’s May catalog reveals that it has clearly taken sides.
“On pages ten and eleven, under the title ‘Freedom of Expression,’ you’ll find ‘Wendi and her partner Maggie and daughters’ and again ‘Wendi, daughters Raven and Clover, and partner Maggie’ in text,” the statement said.
“In the picture both women are wearing wedding bands,” the statement adds.
Perhaps because the group’s previous boycott against JCPenney didn’t go over so well, the statement finishes with stronger call to action:
Last time OMM contacted JC Penney store managers, we were brushed off. Some even experienced in person the store manager saying “Thank you” and walking off while their customer and our concerned members were in mid-sentence. OMM has been told that JCP corporate office told store managers to say “Thank you” and then walk away. If they want our business, then we will not be ignored!

Since the corporate office doesn’t consider your call important, please call, or visit, your local store manager. Local managers are more likely to listen to your concerns and pass them along to the corporate office.
Please be kind when you ask them to tell corporate that they should remain neutral in the cultural war. What was the purpose in stating on page eleven that Wendi and Maggie are partners?
It’s worth noting that many of those who have come out in support of JCPenney for being so “forward thinking” and open to all points of view have also condemned One Million Mothers for having a “hateful,” “stupid,” and “homophobic” point of view.

There’s something strange here. This mom org is going to cost Penny’s MUCH more business than the promotion of Lesbianism will bring them, which is probably almost zilch.

But why?
ALL the ad agencies are run by radical leftist dregs who put their agenda ahead of business concerns of the businesses they advertise for, so that much is known. But why do these businesses not demand better ad presentations that will appeal to the greatest number of people who buy their products?
Notice too that nearly all the store ads and internet ads show MOSTLY non-white people…especially blacks?
We got a quote of a water purification system. (Local business) We live in a rural area that is 99% white in every direction for 100 to 200 miles, yet the brochure we received had the photo of a clearly Iranian or Muslim family drinking their water.
My wife and I concluded that with all the other non-white photos on the majority of ads the ad agencies probably are so rabidly radically left they probably use the ads as sort of training psy ops conditioning us to believe the examples they give us is what we comprised of now in this country, since they’re absolutely in love with diversity.

Women who do molest typically molest little boys, and men who molest are pretty evenly split on the gender of the victim. The vast majority, even by percentage, of molesters identify as straight.
It really saddens me that so many conservatives are willing to be so blatantly prejudiced and blind about any issue. That is a common theme among the left and one that is their downfall. I used to find that among conservatives, using the intellect and critical thinking that God granted human beings was more prevalent, but it seems the right has been largely degraded to the level of the left. Sad.
I wonder which is worse; a gay man or woman quietly trying to do the best they can with the cards they were dealt, or someone hating – yes, HATING – a person or group of people based upon one aspect of their lives.
I find it stunning that this issue brings out the most hateful and ridiculous commentary, yet so much behavior that is not only wrong, but overtly harmful to others is mostly ignored. Where is OMM‘s vocal outrage over the soft core porn that all children are subjected to any time they walk by Victoria’s Secret in the mall? Where is your (the Blaze poster so critical of anything gay) outrage when celebs create children out of wedlock or drag them from one pseudo marriage to another?

The rest of my post spoke of the knee-jerk reaction and lack of critical thinking that has become as prevalent on the right (certainly on this issue) as it is on the left ( on virtually every issue). I specifically address the myth that all or most gays are pedophiles. It just isn’t true.
You say I should stay in the closet or get cured. You speak as if you know those are viable possibilities, so I ask; which have you done? You must have personal experience in order to be so utterly confident of their success.
I’ve been very open about this aspect of my life on this forum in order to try to start an honest conversation. If you would like a different perspective, please go to the article about Marriott offering specials to gays. If you prefer to hold on to your prejudice and continue to blindly judge people you don’t know, don’t bother.
I have no desire to corrupt anyone. Is there a faction of gays who do? Yup, but they are the progressive left – part of the same system that is trying to corrupt EVERY aspect of our lives and our children’s future. Most of us simply want to live in peace.
As to Penny’s ad, gays are a fact of life. Your children ARE going to see it. Teach them your values, just don’t teach hate.

I made the decision not to buy anything from them after they came out with their new ad campaign and have not purchased anything since then. It‘s because their clothing is crap and their prices aren’t competitive, if you want to be in the cheap, poorly made clothing market. The only things I have purchased at Penney’s in decades is sheets and towels, and come to think of it, I mostly buy those at Kohls now…
I don‘t care if Penney’s wants to target the lesbian market. But since most of the lesbians I know shop at Nordstrom’s, I don’t think this ad campaign is going to do the trick.

With sales plummeting and store closers happening all across the US at a fast pace they are left with very few actions to solve their economic woes. They have started a marketing campaign to appeal to the LGBT lifestyle to try and save their company. I asked why if they are a clothing company why do their models in their advertising not wear clothes or very little.
