Jeopardy! 71-Year-Old Host Alex Trebek Snaps Achilles Tendon While Chasing Down Burglar Outside Hotel Room!

SAN FRANCISCO (The Blaze/AP) — “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek says he snapped his Achilles tendon while running after a burglar who had stolen cash, a bracelet and other items from his San Francisco hotel room.
The 71-year-old Trebek tells KGO-TV that he also injured his other leg while falling down during the chase early Wednesday. He was on crutches later Wednesday when he hosted the National Geographic World Championship at Google headquarters in Mountain View.
San Francisco police Lt. Troy Dangerfield says 56-year-old old Lucinda Moyers was arrested on suspicion of felony burglary and receiving stolen property. The cash and bracelet haven’t been found but other items were recovered. Dangerfield says officers found several items near the hotel ice machine.
Trebek is scheduled for surgery on Friday and is expected to be in a cast for six weeks.

Come on Glenneth! What is the hold up? You appear to be afraid of reporting on news that puts religion in a bad light perhaps? Glenn claims to be totally honest and just after the truth in the world, yet he clearly has an agenda. The Blaze, which is framed as just another neutral media outlet by Beck, is nothing more than a spoke on Beck’s wheel of propaganda that he uses to shore up his end times religious extremist view of the world. I was a conservative back when your idol Glenneth was running around in his bell bottoms smelling like weed and JD. You need to get up to speed on the facts before you open your yap.
But back to the point: The Blaze is ignoring a big story, yet they continue with this trite nonsense. There’s even some dissent inside the Blaze among its staff. Some feel that the Jeffs story should be included here, but Glenn won’t have it. Some “news” site.

Some staff at The Blaze agree with me and are frustrated with the pressure from up the line they are getting to avoid stories that reflect poorly on the Mormon church. Reminds one of the struggles journalists in China and Russia have when they are endeavoring to report the news.

I think he had this idea, assembled a team, worked hard on it for a while, and now has given his full attention to other projects. Glenn is a person of integrity. The Blaze falls far short too many times. I feel certain the leadership doesn‘t share Glenn’s vision or his character.

On another subject, does anyone else cringe and feel uncomfortable with Glenn‘s joking around about little girl’s underpants this week? It’s a little like the Murdoch thing, you set it in motion and let it go and start on other projects, and then you’re not involved anymore, but you still plug it even though you don’t read the articles. Does Glenn even have the patience to read all these articles?
My complaints with The Blaze are mainly that I thought it would be an objective newssource–an example of what journalism SHOULD be. Instead, it‘s just become a conservative’s tabloid rag sometimes.

Lucky you didn’t fall, break a hip and die later from the attempt to recover from hip surgery. At that age it takes longer to recover and some elderly will simply just give up the ghost.

My daughter loves that show and wanted to be one of the classmates when she’s in 5th grade (which is actually now).
It takes us 50 minutes to watch a 24 minutes episode of Jeopardy! because I’m always pausing it to explain to her where in the question she can find the clues to answer it properly and giving more info than is necessary about the question. In 20 years, she’ll be the next Ken Jennings!
I hope so anyway.
