Jerry Sandusky‘s Lawyer Actually Cracked a Joke About ’All My Children’

This story has nothing to do with the guilt or innocence of accused child rapist Jerry Sandusky. We are talking about Sandusky’s lawyer, Joe Amendola.
Mr. Amendola made news again yesterday with an odd and (according to most people) inappropriate comment. Walking into the courthouse yesterday morning, reporters were asking Amendola if Sandusky would testify on his own behalf. The lawyer compared the trial to a soap opera and when asked which soap, he replied:
“I think it’s General Hospital, … actually, it could be All My Children,”
Seriously? Your client is facing 51 criminal counts related to the rape and sexual abuse of children and you make that reference?

This was not the first faux pas from Sandusky’s lawyer. Back in December Mr. Amendola suggested that the press should call 1-800 REALITY. Some ambitious members of the press took Amendola’s advice, dialed the number and discovered that 1-800-REALITY connects you to a gay sex hotline.
As we used to say on the school playground, Joe Amendola may not be the worst lawyer that Jerry Sandusky could have hired, but if that guy retires…

Posted on June 21, 2012 at 7:31ama pastor lay dying in the hospital and called his lawyer and his accountant to come to the hospital. both men went, but each not being particularly close to the pastor were wondering why they were chosen to go to the hospital? when they arrived the each stood on opposite side of the pastor and he took hold of thier hands and layed there with a sigh of relief. as the pastor was slipping away, finally the lawyer’s curiosity got the better of him and he asked the pastor why they had been called. before giving his finally the pastor stated:

Posted on June 20, 2012 at 10:31amI make it a point tell the business lawyers I utilize that I don’t trust or like lawyers, including them. The dynamics of the lawyer client relationship is very reflective of society. You can pay a lawyer to misrepresent, say and manipulate anything and any situation. Who other than a lawyer can get on the phone and basically blackmail someone legally with the “We’d rather this matter, not go to trial and become a public matter so we are willing to settle for $$$$” I have seen countless situations where lawyers have manifested the worst of our competitive nature. It is sad that many of our best and brightest chose to exhibit the most negative aspects of the profession.
