Evangelist Claims Nearly 200,000 Christians Will Write in ‘Jesus Christ’ for President

An Internet evangelist is making a bold claim — that he’s convinced nearly 200,000 Christians to commit to writing in “Jesus Christ” as their 2012 presidential choice. Bill Keller, who runs the Christian web site LivePrayer.com, apparently has 2.4 million subscribers. So, the Christian advocate is speaking out to his massive audience in an effort to impact their vote come November.
Keller, who claims he isn’t happy with either candidate, has some harsh words for both President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. He claims that neither are acceptable choices for Christians to select — but for very different reasons. His views, situated far outside the evangelical mainstream, take specific aim at Romney’s Mormon faith.
In a recent video posted to YouTube, Keller says that the answer to the election is for Christians to very literally vote for Jesus. In the 7:50 clip, he announces his write-in campaign, encouraging followers to simply scribble in Christ’s name rather than pull a lever for Obama or Romney. This, he claims, is akin to taking “a stand” for faith.

A screen shot of the "Vote for Jesus" web site
Here‘s how the controversial evangelist explains America’s electoral choices this November and his “Vote for Jesus” campaign, as reported by The Christian Post:
“It is literally Satan flipping a two-headed coin with his head on both sides. How can a Christian in good conscience vote for President Obama, who has proven to be the most pro-baby killing, pro-radical homosexual, pro-enemy of Israel President in our nation’s history,“ Keller stated in a ”Vote for Jesus” campaign update.
“On the other hand, how can a Christian in good conscience vote for Mitt Romney, a 5th generation member and priest of the Satanic Mormon cult,” he added. “His Presidency would give his cult the mainstream acceptance they have always wanted since being founded 200 years ago by a documented con-artist, racist, pedophile, polygamist, and murderer named Joseph Smith.”

If we don’t vote for an ACTUAL candidate other than obama, then we are voting for obama. Romney is the opponent. Write-ins don’t work. I don’t like Romney either, but HE ISN’T OBAMA!

Posted on July 11, 2012 at 4:47pmGod does not ask Christians to determine the outcome. God asks Christians to vote for moral or righteous leaders. That would be Ron Paul for now. We are accountable for our vote not the outcome. Same a soul winning. We are to sow the seed and let the results up to God. Voting for Romney or Obummer is just voting for the hand of satan to lead this nation.

If these people think this is the answer they are in for a rude awakening and will heve the blood on their hands as well. This will gurantee that Christians will continue to be violated. If they want to bring back our rights as Christians then they need to get BHO OUT of office at Any cost. If it means to vote for a Morman then so be it. At least we can open the door and work together to restore our religious rights and freedoms. To keep BHO in office will be the end of any chance to protect Christians.

If you dont like 3rd party and write-in votes, then change the election laws so that a candidate has to receive >50% of the total votes to win….That is how it is done in most democratic nations

Posted on July 11, 2012 at 6:25pmI am absolutely against Mormonism. I feel any cult that wants to place Satan and Jesus on equal footing as brothers is WRONG. Or, feel that they can ignore the Words of God through Jesus and baptize the dead. Or, place an inordinant amount of belief in Joseph Smith as a prophet or even believe they themselves can be gods are blasphemers and will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.
But, in the end Romney is whom I will vote for. God help me! I am concerned if multitudes suddenly start converting too Mormonism because Romney as president legitimizes that cult. If so then the choice will have lead many to hell and for that I would feel shame. But, we are all adults aren’t we? Free choice remains with every one to pick Jesus and eternal life, or the Mormonism cult (or something else) and eternal death.
I hope Christians realize that they can only recommend Jesus. They can’t make anyone choose Him.

Posted on July 11, 2012 at 8:14pmThe Left knows that the evangelicals despise Romney’s religion, that is why they have their surrogates bring it up all the time.
It’s called divide and conquer.
I am reminded of Mark 9:38-40, which basically says;
Jesus’ disciples saw a man casting out devils, they wanted him to stop because he was not a follower.
Jesus told them to relax: if he isn’t against us, he is for us.
Ron Paul couldn’t even win his home state of Texas during the primary.
These may be important things to consider.
Vote for whom you like, many people died to ensure that right – but to make a mockery of it by writing in Jesus is insulting to the memory of them all.

Posted on July 11, 2012 at 8:15pmBlaze readers please don’t be mislead. Look at the Author of the Post – the Blaze’s own Billy Hollowell. This guy once did a survey on the Blaze that resulted in 85% of Christians would vote for an atheist. I don’t know why Glenn has this guy publishing Faith Articles for the Blaze, but like Glenn always says – Check it out – do the research.
Don’t be mislead. If you disagree with Billy’s line of BS call him out. Maybe Glen will someday notice that this guy leave little to be desired and he should not be in charge of the Faith section.

Billy did not rig the poll on atheists, atheists hijacked the poll as they have done before. Yes I know, real moral of them wasn’t it.
My opinion is that Billy is highlighting what Bill Keller is currently doing and how this may affect the forthcoming President election. Billy Hallowell is in no way condoning what Bill Keller is up to.
Remember a few years ago Bill Keller came to this site with his anti-Mormon propaganda so this comports with Keller’s past actions.

Posted on July 12, 2012 at 1:32am@Buzzardsays Just a friendly discussion here, not trying to bag on you…
“I feel any cult that wants to place Satan and Jesus on equal footing as brothers is WRONG.” It is wrong, and we don’t. They are not on equal footing. They are just both sons from the same Father. One went south. I’m sure you know of earthly families like that. Lucifer is real and he wants as many to be deceived as possible and working hard at it. But Jesus is the only name by which man will be saved. Period.
“Or, feel that they can ignore the Words of God through Jesus and baptize the dead.” Read KJV 1 Cor. 15:29. Seems if you don’t baptize the dead you are ignoring the Words of God.
“Or, place an inordinant amount of belief in Joseph Smith as a prophet” We revere him as a prophet, no more, no less. Do you not revere Moses, Abraham, etc.? We do, too. True prophets are special men.
“or even believe they themselves can be gods are blasphemers and will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.” A run-on sentence, but we believe that Heavenly Father meant what he said when he said that all I have will be thine. We will not become God (capitol G), but we can progress and become LIKE him.
“I am concerned if multitudes suddenly start converting too Mormonism because Romney as president legitimizes that cult.” No one will become a Mormon just because he is president. No way–are you kidding? Nor would the church allow people to join for that reason. And we are already legit, just not in yo

Posted on July 12, 2012 at 10:42amJesus nor Ron Paul can win the 2012 presidential election. I will never be able to change the electorial process. No one will, except a dangerously idealistic dictator. Which is what we could have if obama wins again. Alternative – vote for Romney. I know he is “obama lite,“ but the focus should be on ”lite.”
We’re never going to have someone with the same set of morals that we personally want from someone, but to make the assertion that Romney is as bad as or worse than obama, is to deny the history of both people. All we have to do is take the candidates for what they have done. They both flip-flop to which ever political view is expediant for the time. One, however, is a freaking COMMUNIST. He should be tried for treason, not reelected.
One is a Mormon. I don’t agree with it. But the other, well I don’t know what the other is.
As far as voting for the lesser of 2 evils goes, there are no clear cut good guys people. If you are voting at all, you are voting for the lesser of 2 evils. We are all sinners. Heck, the voters are evil by their physical nature. Some are evil by their spiritual nature as well. So to believe in some super do gooder politician is to believe in fantasy.
Here’s the skinny – Every Christian needs to be in the voting booth this November. Pray first, study The Word, go in and vote for the candidate that is on your heart. More importantly than that though, every Christian needs to be on his/her knees daily asking for mercy on this nation

Posted on July 11, 2012 at 4:18pmThat may be God’s design. The US as a country has abandoned our Creator, Father God. Is it any wonder that He’ll leave us to a satanically aligned president, regardless of who wins? He let Saul and Ahab rule the Hebrews, He let them fall under Roman control. We have become a goat nation in the last couple of presidencies, rather than the sheep nation we started out as.
Either way, I‘m not voting for barry hussien and regardless of romney’s mormon affliation, his true religion is LIBERALIST Politics. He’s far from conservative at best and at worst he will be our mcshame just like in 2008.

Posted on July 11, 2012 at 4:38pmWell I agree with the Biblical principle that we get the leaders we deserve.
However, that does not absolve us of our responsibility as Christians, and Americans to fight like hell to preserve our freedoms and do our best to elect principled and honorable leaders.
Anything less is cowardly.

Posted on July 11, 2012 at 4:43pmWhether Obummer wins or not is not my concern. I am only responsible for my vote for a moral candidate if there is one. Right now that would be R. Paul. Christians are not of the land. We are citizens of heaven ambassadors to the US. We are to be salt and light. Obummer may very well win as God is now judging America. Russia may even nuke the US over Syria in the next 12 months as part of God’s judgement. Who knows, but when a nation is confused, at war with it’s enemies all the time but never winning, wicked, vile, and evil, with a anti God president, you can be sure God is judging.

Posted on July 11, 2012 at 6:06pmRomney Biblically is a spiritual terrorist. He is not a Christian just as Hitler was not a Christian yet both claimed to be. If you study the Mormon religion, it’s totally a lie of satan and against the scripture of Jesus Christ saving power. Mormon is a cult of satan.
