‘Jesus Was a Son of a Whore’: Israeli Church Vandalized With Anti-Christian Messages

Incidents of church vandalism have been finding their way into the headlines both in America and abroad over the past few months. In the latest attack to make international headlines, Israeli police reported that vandals sprayed anti-Christian graffiti on a Baptist church in Jerusalem.
Some startling words were plastered on the side of the Baptist House, including “Death to Christianity,“ Jesus was a son of a whore” and “We will crucify you.”
Aside from painting these hateful messages on the outside of the building, those responsible also targeted nearby vehicles. Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said Monday that the vandals also slashed the tires of three cars in the area.

Israel Today reports:
…the Baptist House has been a target since long before the start of the “price tag” movement. Situated near some of Jerusalem’s most Orthodox neighborhoods, the Baptist House has suffered numerous acts of petty vandalism, and the main sanctuary was set ablaze in 2007.
Looking at the broader picture, some have suggested that the general increase in hostility toward Christians and Messianic Jews in recent years is actually a good sign. As the message of the Gospel reaches more Israelis, increased resistance should be expected.

Rosenfeld says that words “price tag” were also scrawled on the church property. It’s a reference to a practice of Jewish extremists who lash out against the Israeli government for actions against settlers. This is at least the second time this month that a “price tag” attack has taken place. On Feb. 7, The Blaze reported on a separate incident:
Vandals attacked a monastery in Jerusalem and a prominent school with a mixed Jewish-Arab student body on Tuesday, and police said they suspected Jewish extremists were behind the violence.
“Death to Christians” and other Hebrew-language graffiti was scrawled on the Greek Orthodox monastery in Jerusalem (tradition says that the tree used to make Jesus’s cross once stood at this location), while “Death to Arabs” was sprayed across a wall outside the bilingual “Hand in Hand” school in another part of the city.
Such attacks usually target West Bank mosques but have recently spread to a mosque in Israel, an Israeli military base, dovish activists and Christian sites.
Rosenfeld says the police are searching for suspects.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Posted on February 20, 2012 at 12:16pmNo doubt done by Jews themselves for the benefit of the brainwashed Christians who have no interest in the words of Jesus, the truth, or anything that doesn’t fit their narrow view of Churchianity as my Pastor calls it. Do you half-wits not know that Jews hate Jesus and brag how they would cruxify Him again! The Muslims have more respect for Him than the Jews do. And of course there is the unfortunate little fact for Christians that Jesus was not a Jew in the first place. So,rest assured it is this nation that will be Judged unrighteous as opposed to Iran. We are Babylon and the keeper of every lying tounge and every unclean spirit. Praise Yahweh for the coming end of the Zionist regime.

Posted on February 20, 2012 at 2:28pmAs a Jew, I can say that I do not hate Jesus or brag I would crucify him again. Nor do any of my friends. I think you have a warped sense of world view of Jews. For all I know, you may know some extremist Jews that are like the ones listed in this article.
However, this is not a mainstream philosophy or idea. I have no hatred of Jesus or Mohammad. What I have issue with is those, like the extremists in this article or you for your words, that use their religion to divide people.
Jesus is probably the single most profound religious leader that ever existed. He is on level with Buddha, Gandhi and many others that preach love and understanding. To not cast judgment on your brother and show compassion. Note, judgment means determines one’s fate in regards to salvation and worthiness in the eyes of Hasheem (Lord, God, or what ever you call it).
We all can look at this example in the article as there is people on all sides that want to perpetuate the tensions between all God fearing individuals. Let them not cast a shadow of doubt on the truth that love will conquer all things. Maybe not on this Earth, but in the life after. Issue is, all these extremists are wrapped up in the material as to not see how their actions are of the utmost evil.
I pray we will all see the difference and embrace and protect each other in the dark days to come.

Report Post »Firstly, Pilat crucified Jesus. Only the Romans crucified people. Second, I think you need a lesson in grammar. Hate is the present tense. Jesus has been dead for almost two millennium. When you can show me proof that not only did Jews hate Jesus 2000 years ago but today as well then we can talk. And remember, not being Christian, I don’t take the “New Testament” at face value. There are other historical sources to take into account.
The_Jerk
Posted on February 20, 2012 at 3:21pmTZion, Caiaphas, not Pilate, sent troops to get Jesus. Once capture, Jesus was taken to Caiaphas, not Pilate. It was the court led by Caiaphas that called for the death of Jesus.
Report Post »If Pilate wanted Jesus, he would have sent his troops for Jesus. He did not. If Pilate sent for Jesus, Jesus would have been taken back to Pilate; not Caiaphas. Finally, Pilate twice tried set Jesus free, the Jews threatening revolt and led by Caiaphas demanded that Jesus be crucified. If Pilate wanted Jesus dead, he’d have never tried to set him free.
So, it is true that the Romans were forced to kill Jesus, but the perpetrators were Jews from Judah. Using your logic, Hitler didn’t kill any Jews, others did, even though Hitler like Caiaphas demanded the deaths.

Posted on February 20, 2012 at 3:27pmPatrick Henry II – Catholics and Evangelicals have had a division that stood long before obama and soros even existed, that is, unless you count barry and/or king george as being 1 and/or 2 members of the unholy trinity. I don’t think so, but it’s possible. We’ll see if bho sits atop the new Temple and proclaims himself god above all gods.
Catholics weren’t the 1st Christians, as they would have the world to believe, but they did massacre many of them. If you can get your hands on some Vatican historical material, you will be surprised what some of it says about the history of Christianity.

Report Post »Caiaphas was a ROMAN-APPOINTED high priest of Israel and a Sadducee. In other words, his loyalties were more to Rome and its rulers than to the Jews themselves. You oppose America appointing rulers overseas? Caiaphas was the same type of figure as was King Herod himself. As a Sadducee, he would have forsaken most of the traditions and laws practiced by his ancestors.
Since Caiaphas is 1. Only one person whose power came from Rome and not the Jewish people 2. was a Sadducee and therefore subscribed to a form of Judaism antagonistic to what most Jews today practice and 3. died centuries ago, your saying that Jews of today hate Jesus is about as true as me saying the Prime Minister of Germany hates Jews.

Posted on February 20, 2012 at 6:02pm@Troll: The common misperception that is taught, is that Jesus is a ‘Jew’. Jew = Of Judea or Judah. Sure, David was of the tribe of Judah, but Mary was of the tribe of Levi. In Jesus’ time, where you were born determined your ‘race’, if such a thing existed back then. Sure, Jesus came from the Hebrew lineage, but he was not Jewish. He was born in Bethlehem, and raised in Nazareth, which had an extremely low Jewish population.
Wiki says about ‘jew’: The English word Jew continues Middle English Gyw, Iewe, a loan from Old French giu, earlier juieu, ultimately from Latin Iudaeum. The Latin Iudaeus simply means Judaean, “from the land of Judaea”
Jesus didn’t come from Judea. Period.

Matthew 27:
23And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
24When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.
25Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

Posted on February 20, 2012 at 8:05pmkadams, why would you even try to make such stupid arguments? You want to appear knowledgeable but your argument makes no sense whatsoever. First off, both Mary and Joseph were from the line of David, Joseph through Solomon and Mary through Nathan, so Jesus had both the legal and natural claim to the throne of David, something no other man can claim.
But never mind that, you argue Jesus was not a Jew due to some garbage about Him not being from the tribe of Judah, even though this has nothing to do with being a Jew. This goes against Scripture:
Rev 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
Never mind the many references in the Old Testament that look forward to Jesus.
So what is your game? You an anti-Semite? Is that what forces you to twist Scripture to fit your personal theology?

Jesus was a jew and loved them all just as much as he loves you, they are our brothers. Turn to our Father and repent before your time runs out.
Luke 10:27 27 So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’”
as for my brothers in Christ do not let him bring you down with him, you mean well i know but some coments even as mild as they may be are also against his teachings and are not worth it. seek to rid yourself of anything that may offend our father strive for righteousness in all that you do.

Scripture does not mention it, and for most of its history their was no official stand on her perpetual virginity. This came about as part of the Gregorian reforms, that also brought about priest’s celebrate, around 1100. Not a coincidence that Mary was called ever-virgin and the prohibition against priests having sex happened at the same time.

Here, in this country, the attacks on Christianity have their roots in Hollywood, again, provably not Muslim: http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-oe-stein19-2008dec19,0,4676183.column
Facts, not fundamental beliefs, must be used in intellectual debate. Facts should be used to find cause.

Report Post »I would argue that it’s likely either militant Zionists (there are peaceful ones) or Jewish vandals harboring anti-Christian sentiments. Either way this is clearly more a lowlife/gang style incident.

Posted on February 20, 2012 at 12:55pmAs a Jew, I would argue that those who did this are in violation of Jewish teachings. “Do not oppress the stranger amongst you” isn’t really something that can be misunderstood.
