Jihadist Group Declares War on France for Being Hostile to IslamThe leader of an armed, radical Islamic group out of west Africa, Hamada Ould Mohamed Kheirou, declared “war” against France Thursday over what he calls French hostility towards Islam. The threat came in a video reportedly seen by AFP journalists and is not the first time the jihadist group has vowed to wage war with the increasingly Islamized France.

“We again declare war on France, which is hostile to the interests of Islam,” Kheirou said in Arabic. Allegedly donning dark glasses and a turban, the Mauritanian militant added, “The jihad [holy war] will be exported everywhere it is necessary and for God, we must be ready for anything.”

The last part of the video reportedly focused on the group’s ideology and ambitions, specifically, “to impose shari’ah [Islamic law] across the whole of west Africa.” According to AFP, the video depicts young African fighters calling for “pure and tough” Islam.

AFP via News24 reports that the video also revealed images of three Westerners – a Spanish man and woman and an Italian woman – who were kidnapped in late-October from a camp for Sahrawi refugees in southern Algeria:

That kidnapping was claimed by Kheirou’s Movement for Unity and Justice in West Africa, which then emerged as a breakaway group from Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), which originated in Algeria and now has bases in northern Mali. [...]

Mauritania last week issued an international arrest warrant against Kheirou, also known as Abou Qumqum. The mandate also targeted three other Mauritanians, including Moustapha Ould Limam Chafi, an influential man in west Africa who has notably negotiated the release of Western hostages by AQIM.

All four men are accused of being “influential members” of AQIM, of financing terrorism and of supporting terrorist groups in the Sahel strip of northwest African nations on the southern edge of the Sahara.

According to AFP, the zone is extremely volatile and difficult to patrol and monitor. AQIM has reportedly carried out numerous attacks on troops, kidnappings of Westerners and routinely traffics drugs and weapons from within the region.

12 Europeans — six of whom are French nationals — are presently held hostage in the Sahel.

      Yes, I do, but not yet. There will be civil war in France before long. Even the French left wing media concedes that this is the likely outcome.

      Every other nation should take note; do not let islam get a foot-hold in your country for it will be painful and bloody to get them out again. Also, keep an eye on what happens in France. We may as well learn something from this debacle.

      Some one posted this clip recently (my apologies for not remembering who it was) but it is worth posting here. It is a real eye-opener – and suddenly everything becomes clear.

      Muslim pirates (Somalian, of course) attacked a Russian flagged freighter. Russian commandos arrested them, took them back to their own boat, handcuffed them to the boat, and blew the boat up. The boat did not sink immediately. It burned for a few minutes.

      Now, I am not a barbarian, but do you think the Russian ships will be left alone from now on? As the PC brigade quietens down, due to escalating violence from muslims, they will be able to be treated like this. Even in France.

      The French I know are more awake than you think. They have been living in close quarters with the problem for many years. The myth of the Christian-like devout Muslim (no agenda, no violence) does not survive around neighborhoods and towns with immigrant Muslim populations. Local populations have seen long-time Muslim families slowly radicalize in recent years. Last year the government took action and passed a new law– no covering the face in public (a relatively recent practice put in place by extremists), and men who force this on women must go to “citizenship” class with them. They also put an end to a troublsome practice of a group holding prayers in the streets of Paris. Among non-Muslims, there is no “political correctness” stifling a frank (ha ha!) discussion of what is going on.
      You want to have an open conversation with another concerned non-Muslim about what’s up with the Islamists–even at the check out counter? Go to France.

      @GETLIFE, you are correct. My mother emmigrated from France and I still have relatives there – they are aware of the problems and the direction things are going. My relatives are outspoken on the fact that America needs to wake up before its too late here as well.

      And its not just France – Europe is on the edge which has led to a rise in nationalism. If the Euro (and subsequently the EU) fail, look out; we all know where a nationalized Europe can lead.

      When Geert Wilder (leader of the Danish right-wing Party Of Freedom) came to the US and discussed the Islamifiaction of Europe, he pointed out that America would be the last democracy standing (paraphrased) if we did not take action in our own country and provide political support to Europe in their efforts. Our response was that the Treasury Department held a “Shria Finance 101” seminar. Around the same time the UK banned Wilder from entry into their country, and shortly after the Danes prosecuted him for ‘inciting hatred’ for his warnings.

      Keep in mind that those in power, even here, to not care what political or economic system is in place, much less about your individual liberty…as long as they are making money and have elite privileges. There is no longer any honor in politics (if there ever was).

      The time is approaching when the American people will need to demonstrate the true intent of the Second Ammendment…be prepared!

      Unfortunately I think it is too late. Did you know that sweden changed their constitution to accommodate the Muslim community. Guess What? Rape is up in that country 25-30%. If a muslim man sees a women not dressed properly he can slap her, rape her, do whatever. Europe wants to accommodate Islam and you cannot, Islam will not accommodate another country they invade, they conquer. Pure and simple. I guess they will once again start burning cars in Paris, or killing more people. Some people are just barbarians.

      Europe does need another Charles “the hammer” Martel. He stopped the Muslims gaining anymore western Europe ground beyond the north of Spain. It took Spain 700 years to eventually rid themselves of and drive out the Moors, Grenada being Islams foothold to the south.       That’s not true, there are churches and synagogues in Iran. The christians and Jews are allowed to openly practice their religion as well. They must follow sharia law on the streets, but in their houses of worship they are allowed to worship as they see fit.

    I’m missing it. Maurititania targets Mauritanians?

    I didn’t see that France did anything to fight Islam. As many of you know, streets in France get shut down because Muslims stop to pray wherever they’re at during the appointed times.

    We’re at war. War isn’t necessarily waged with guns. Likely, the few of us with Christian & Consitutional principles are going to have to group and defend. Our governement is corrupt (top down, bottom up), the ultra wealthy are pulling the world strings, every single wacko group or agency has been given power over us, food supply, economy, individual rights…all are out the window. Islam is just expoiting it.

    You’re going to be surprised how many of us end up dead or in prison. No joke.

Am sure that the appeasement/ weak Obama Administration hasn’t helped to lessen this growing jihad.
