Jindal Declares Palin ‘Absolutely’ Electable

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal said that Sarah Palin is “absolutely” electable as president, a topic of debate among Republicans even though she has yet to announce her intentions for 2012.
“It’s up to her to make the case to voters,” Jindal said in an interview on “Political Capital With Al Hunt” airing this weekend on Bloomberg Television.
Jindal, 39, was asked about recent comments by Joe Scarborough, an MSNBC commentator and former Republican congressman from Florida, who said it was time for Republicans to “man up” and recognize the former Alaska governor is a reality TV show star who cannot be elected.

Thank you.
I would vote for a pet rock over Obama or any other Progressive/Socialist.
And 90% of what Palin stands for are my own principles.
The only thing that keeps me from giving her my full support (opening my wallet for her) is that I can’t find any hard stance on Amnesty. And no matter what else she stands for, if she’s an amnesty hound like McCain, forget about it. That is my #1 issue.
So, if you don’t like Palin, fine. I could care less. Thing is, I expect the same treatment.
My opinion, my wallet, my principles, my business.
Simple, isn’t it.

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 8:16amShe needs to talk more about what she believes. I think that’s what Jindal said. “Make her case.” She already knows the liberal enemy within, but I’d like to hear her opinion on Islam. The next president must not be clueless on the nature of Islam, or we’re dead.

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 2:08amKarl, I grab my ankles for any Bush, Rove is going to have a fit with this. When I voted for McCain I in fact could only justify it by voting for Palin. I love how so many of you are so willing to toss her to the wolves because you are TOO FREAKING STUPID and buy into the pseudo intellectual pundits on TV. Please pull your heads out of your collective A$$ES and realize that because someone lacks the ability, or desire to speak in circles of nonsensical words, that they are… DUMB. You’re a FOOL!!! Palin may not be as graceful as some, but I would bet my own life that if she were in office, and not that nimrod BO… this country would be in a hell of a lot better shape. She has a hell of a lot more executive experience than BO ever did, and is not as STUPID as he is by buying into SOCIALISTIC, EVIL … BS.
You are a stupid SHEEPLE if you keep thinking… “if I don’t understand everything someone says… they must be smarter than me”. JESUS…. Sometimes, when someone says something that’s hard to understand, it‘s not because you’re too freaking stupid to understand it, it‘s because THEY’RE TOO FREAKING STUPID to really BE IN OFFICE!!! Or too DISHONEST!!! Or BOTH!!!
QUIT BEING TOTAL DUMBA$$ES and judge someone by their Character IDIOTS.
Chris Christie… HAS CHARACTER… so far
Bobby JIndal… Has Character
Sarah Palin….. duh… has character.
I’d like to see Christie run…. in my mind Christie is at the top of my list…. Palin would be second. Would love to see those two on the same ticket.
McCain….. idiot, rino, TRAITOR… I don’t give a crap what you say about his service, as a politician he’s screwed us all.
Huckabee…. freaking useless, back stabbing, RINO…. lets criminals go scott free to KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE… he has no place in public office, or even on TV
Romney….. if he had sounded as good as he did when he gave his concession speech… he NEVER WOULD HAVE LOST.
Jeb Bush…. hey people…. if you fall for that crap again you might as well go and play in the rail road tracks. Bush started this fiscal commie crap and Obama is Bush on Steroids…..
Shut off your freaking televisions…. start reading about these people’s histories… voting records and business experiences (Yes… being a Mayor of a city and Governor of a STATE count towards that)… being a community organizer…. uh…. Do we need to do this again? Or would 45% unemployment be enough to wake the rest of you up. Judge them as you‘d judge a friend you’d allow near your kids, and hold them accountable, to the FULL EXTENT of the LAW… when they turn on us. Many serving themselves in office now…. need JAIL TIME!…..

They didn’t care about his policies. Thats all it is every year in politics when the presidential election rolls around. We are always scared of the candidate who speaks the truth or rocks the boat.
I dare anybody in the next election cycle to actually study the candidates. Not just to go off how you “feel”. Sarah Palin has not proved that she is what we need. She may say the right things, but her record isn’t deep and solid enough to take on Obama. Does she really understand the FED and central banking, a foreign policy approved by our founders of non-intervention and Austrian economics with their free markets?

He‘s unelectedable because of the American bias against true orthodox Catholics that follow the faith fully and aren’t cafeteria style Catholics. This Blaze piece is just pro Palin to limit the effectiveness of Gov. Jindal. This is all it is. Mr. Baby-Boomer-Beck would never support an orthodox Catholic. If he did it would be phoney. Just seeing things they way they are. Give credit were credit is deserved. Gov. Jindal didn’t resign during the Gulf oil spill. When things got tough up in Alaska, Gov. Palin resigned. Ran from governing. Gov. Jindal makes a good point. It is the governors who have the true executive experience to run this country. They seem to me to be less politically correct and true to principles.

But to get back to my point, Mr. Beck says to my gut that he would never support a true orthodox Roman Catholic. Even if he had lunch with Gov. Jindal. Probably both are trying to use each other. Both have executive minds that think on how to try to solve problems and understand and hold up freedom. Freedom. Common minds meeting for lunch. The elder Mr. Baby-Boomer-Beck and Gov. Jindal. Posted on December 5, 2010 at 11:41pmI ws just opining elsewhere that a Jindal/ Rubio ticket might be the thing.
I love Sarah, and think she would be a good President. I’m surer of that than I am she could win. I’m on the bubble with that.
I really think Palin is better off than on the ticket. On the ticket she will have to moderate herself to appeal to more general electorate. That will weaken her base enthusiams just a bit from white hot to red hot, but her role as a target will increase because it’s her, and she’s on the ticket. Double whammy as far as the dems think. Off the ticket she has more power to rev up the base and she will draw some fire away from the people on the ticket because the dems can’t resist. She’s a red flag waving at a bull. The critical thing is that whoever is one the ticket treats her as an ally rather than an albatross. If we get someone who wants to earn the favor of David Brooks more than Sarah Palin’s fans things will not go down well.

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 1:27amSarah Palin is in lock-step with the American people on the majority of the issues: immigration, health care reform, off shore drilling, extending the Bush tax cuts, the mosque at Ground Zero, etc. Regarding gravitas, Governor Palin has written, spoken, and commented on issues ranging from the devaluing of the US dollar to the bureaucratization of health care to the Obama administration’s stance on Israel to the overreach of the EPA. She is comfortable discussing social, economic, environmental, regulatory, foreign, and national security issues.
With regards to leadership, Governor Palin has led a town, a state, and has co-led a family. She has private sector experience in working in journalism and her family’s fishing business. She has public sector experience with her time as city councilwoman, mayor, and governor. She has experience with negotiations between the public and the private sector with her work on AGIA. She worked across party lines with ethics reform legislation. Since stepping aside from the Governor’s office, she has been the leading voice of conservatism. When other supposed leaders are busy sticking their finger in the wind or sitting on the fence when it comes to current policy, Governor Palin has stood strongly for conservative values and commonsense.
With regards to political achievements, in three legislative sessions as Governor, in addition to what has already been mentioned, she forward funded education, passed major ethics reform, revamped the oil taxation code to make it more inline with the Alaska constitution, and increased funding for children with special needs. She rejected stimulus funds that were unsustainable and had strings attached. She stood firmly for the 10th amendment on numerous occasions and was a constant proponent of energy independence. She took on the Establishment of both parties and won.

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 1:30amSarah Palin didn’t “quit”; she reloaded in order to fight for what is right on a fairer battlefield.
She promised to keep the frivolous anti-Palin law suits away from the Alaskan people ( saving tax money and time) and to be more effective on the stump ( supporting candidates , fundraising, etc)
Sarah Palin was truthful on both accounts!!
In an article Sarah Palin said:
“I said, ‘Enough. Political adversaries and their political friends in the media will not destroy my State, my administration, nor my family. Enough.’ I knew if I didn’t play their game any longer, they could not win. I would not retreat, I would instead reload, and I would fight for what is right from a different plane.”
Sarah Palin resigned because she recognized the cost that the frivolous ethics complaints were having on her state ( these baseless complaints cost Alaskans over $1 million in tax payer’s money, and Gov. Palin’s original legal bills were well over half a million dollars) and she saw how much of her staff’s time and her own time were forced to deal with those issues. She wasn’t able to effectively fulfill her role as Governor, so she passed the reins onto someone who didn’t have to be concerned that if he sneezed in the Lower 48, an ethics complaint would be thrown at him.
Palin’s entire administration was paralized by those frivolous complaints, only an idiot wouldnt be able to see or admit that.
She saw that if she stayed on as Governor it would continue to cost the state millions of dollars in wasted time and resources to defend against false and maliciously ethics complaints and doom it to gridlock.
Sarah had to step down for the better of her state and it was the honorable thing to do.
She promised that she would “effect positive change outside of Government”, and she has most definitely done that.
Sarah has been able to speak more boldly for both Alaska and all Americans for the conservative principles this country was founded on now that she is outside of office and without the concern of a possible ethics violation been thrown at her.
Sarah Palin told us all why she resigned when she resigned. If some people still don’t get it, well, that’s their problem
Sarah Palin helped Tea Party candidates all over the country energize their campaigns. She holds the Republican Party accountable for less spending, less debt, and to reduce the size of government.
Palin’s 71% endorsement success rate thus far—52 wins out of 73 declared races featuring Palin-endorsed candidates is impressive, especially considering that she embraced a number of underdogs in traditionally blue states.
Of particular importance is the fact that eighteen of the twenty candidates backed in Palin’s Take Back the 20 initiative have won their races . That’s a 90% success rate!
When other supposed leaders are busy sticking their finger in the wind or sitting on the fence when it comes to current policy, Governor Palin has stood strongly for conservative values and commonsense!

Palin also has her family to think of. How many times can you have your daughter called a “******” on national TV or have your son called a “******” by Left wing bullies before it really destroys your soul?

While for most people, the trials carried out against ones own family – especially the ‘******’ and insults to her handicap son comments – would change or destroy them; others are transformed and forged into stronger material, shining clearly and unbending as the solid bedrock of the earth.
In all candor, I feel one reason Palin has so many people on all sides unnerved is that they try to put her in a convenient little box or hole, and she does not fit that way, she is uniquely herself – and what you see is what you have.
Sometimes when confronted by the ‘real deal’ life throws us all a major clunk to the head.

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 1:27amGovernor Palin is a wife, mother of five, and grandmother, who has a great impact on the American political landscape by currently unofficially leading a movement without a title. Sarah Palin was a journalist/fisherwoman who first got involved in the public arena as a concerned mom through the local PTA. She later was elected to the Wasilla City Council where she served for two terms. She then served as mayor of Wasilla for two terms and acted as the head of the Alaska council of mayors.
During her tenure, she reduced property tax levels while increasing services and made Wasilla a business-friendly environment, drawing in new industry.
Sarah Palin served as a commissioner of the Alaska Oil and Gas Commission where she rooted out corruption in her own party. She later was elected to the Alaska governorship where she served through three legislative sessions. In these three years, she reduced spending by nearly 10% over her predecessor, reduced earmark requests by 80%, invested $5 billion dollars in savings, passed major ethics reform, and negotiated the largest private sector infrastructure project in North American history with the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act
Governor Palin’s “business experience” comes with the negotiations and dealings she has had with one of the most powerful industries in the world: the energy industry. This includes the negotiations on what will be the largest private infrastructure project in North American history. Governor Palin has successfully negotiated new tax structures, lease deals and other issues that arise in the Alaska energy industry.
At the end of the day, Governor Palin negotiated billion dollar deals with one of the toughest industries in the world.
WSJ Editorial page editor Paul Gigot said Gov. Palin “has demonstrated a sophisticated understanding of monetary policy” in this Opinion Journal Video broadcast November 9, 2010. Columnist Daniel Henninger harkened back to Gov. Palin’s first Washington Speakers Bureau speech delivered in Hong Kong, in which “she correctly analyzed the causes of the financial crisis, the government causes, including easy credit from the Fed. This is a consistent message for her. This speech is not something out of the blue.”

Sarah Palin is past chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, a multistate government agency that promotes the conservation and efficient recovery of domestic oil and natural gas resources while protecting health, safety and the environment. She also served as chair of the National Governors Association (NGA) Natural Resources Committee, which was charged with pursuing legislation to ensure state needs are considered as federal policy is formulated in the areas of agriculture, energy, environmental protection and natural resource management.
Sarah Palin’s successful efforts to stop the cronyism and reform the energy business in Alaska were so impressive Kay Cashman, the publisher and executive editor of Petroleum News, wrote the book entitled: “Sarah Takes On Big Oil” .
This is a must read for anyone who wants to understand the leadership Sarah Palin has exhibited in the area of reforming government and industry!!
While Governor Palin has a history of being a reformer and taking on powerful interests for the benefit of ordinary people, Obama’s history is that of a tool of special interests, be they unions, trial lawyers, ACORN, or Wall Street.

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 5:26amSome people cannot handle fame and fortune but others can do it well. We should have plenty of time to see how Sarah handles her new found fame and fortune. I hope she makes it because she would be (and already is) a breath of fresh air in Washington. Bobby Jindal is right, she just needs to make her case effectively. We shall see.

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 5:31amPalin is an idiot. I can’t believe you people would support her for President of the United States of America. She couldn’t be worse than Obama, but there‘s no way she’ll be a Reagan or a Lincoln – that’s what we need right now; a President bigger than life who believes in America, not Europe. We need someone like Christie or even Donald Trump would be better.
Palin was hired by the people of Alaska to be their governor, and she quit to go make money. That’s absolutely despicable. If Palin gets the nomination, and there is no third party candidate, I just won’t vote and will consider America finished.

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 6:36amMISTER PRESIDENT How do you get through life without hurting yourself? You don’t even know what your talking about. She left the Governor’s office due to the hit team this administration sent to Alaska after the election. She was not able to govern due to the chaos they created.
There are lots of reasons to not like someone. At least find a reason that carries some weight. We are in this current mess because of uninformed voters like yourself. Do us all a favor and just stay home in 2012!

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 7:34amThe Mainstream Media will never let it happen. They will mount a blistering campaign of lies and dis-information to subvert any run she might plan. Unfortunately, the majority of those who cannot think for themselves will blindly follow the MSM’s line. Why do you think we have the great imposter (Manchurian Candidate) in office right now?

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 7:35amI would like to remind people that Palin was more or less forced out of office due to external pressures that would cost her State of Alaska much money while Obama QUIT his senate job to pursue the presidency which was a 2 out out of a six year term. On top of that, Obama barely did anything but vote present on legislation.

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 8:00amThere are two major camps with Palin – those that love her and those that hate her – the media does all it can to put people into the latter camp and the establishment Republicans are not doing any favors to the American people by playing into the media’s hands. Why is it only Republicans eat their own with the fervor of a rabid dog? You didn’t see leading Democrats running from Obama saying someone with his little to no experience should not be president? Yet even on this website you have good conservatives already spelling doom and gloom if Palin is the nomination – who dismiss her using the media’s talking points. She certainly has experience, far more than our current commander in chief, and she has a strong base of support – if she runs, like Jindal says, she would have to prove to the American people her worth. I’m not saying she should be our candidate or is the best or worst choice we have – I’m saying the woman does not get a fair shake from both sides of the aisle and our side should be better than that.

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 8:54amTo the Doctor that is not quite in . . . and those thinking along the lines of him, or her:
If you fully knew conservatism you would not say the things that you say. True conservatism does not acknowledge bias or prejudice in race or gender. It seeks only truth and separates itself from what has proven itself to be of ill intent . . . such as liberalism has time and time again.
To understand that, we can simply turn to liberalism’s ultimate fantasy weapon against God, evolution. Unlike liberalism’s static yet aggressive nature, conservatism’s evolution has carried itself above prejudice, beyond race, and beyond gender. Conservatism seeks God and therefore aspires to be like God and is subsequently for all that seek forgiveness and a mind and spirit that evolves toward the love and betterment of humankind; which includes all.
If Palin can carry and deliver the message of conservatism properly, she has already proven capable of putting her words to action. And that my friend is what would get her elected. She, or any other woman or person of any race that steps forward with the fortitude and vetted integrity to get the job done, of neutralizing the destructive nature of liberalism, will walk into the room and we will all take notice and know that a leader is among us.

Sarah Palin is a progressive that allowed herself to be puppeted by progressive John Mccain, and even campaigned for this progressive after their joint run.

we cant have that if we want Obama to vacate the White House….
we need the average Democrat moron to think it dont matter who wins…
if they hear Palin’s name against Obama they will go out of their way to make sure the backwoods idiot isnt embarassing them on the World Stage.
(and i dont think she is an idiot for the record…her foolish statements are just over reported by the liberal press, so we need someone with a clean slate and who will hopefully make no mistakes that can be used to create a false image of who they are or what they stand for)
