Job Layoffs Hit Obama’s Organizing for America

Organizing for America, the political action group and campaign arm of the Democratic National Committee, has reportedly started to lay off field staffers in multiple states. A Democratic source told Roll Call that the layoffs are coming as the DNC focuses on 2012 battleground states for President Barack Obama’s planned re-election campaign.

A Democratic source told Roll Call that party officials started notifying employees Sunday night and that the layoffs are mostly a handful of field staffers in some states as Democrats assess where they want to fight 2012 battlegrounds.

“This is likely the first wave in a series of staff reductions as we transition for the re-elect,” the Democrat said.

It was unclear how many staffers would be laid off or where they are from, but OFA had staff in all 50 states. The cuts were expected, but officials had told aides before Thanksgiving that they would all be kept on the payroll through the holiday season.

OFA, which began in 2009 as a way of boosting Obama’s policy initiatives at a grass-roots level across the country, will be an organization in transition this year. It is anticipated that the leaner OFA will morph into the president’s re-election campaign, which is highly likely to be based out of Chicago.

DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse stressed in a statement to Roll Call that it is a “small number” of staffers who are being laid off.

“The DNC had its largest midterm election effort ever in 2010 and transitioning into 2011 a small number of people whose services are no longer required have been let go, as would be expected,” Woodhouse said. “The DNC and OFA continue to comprise among the largest Democratic Party organizations in history and will continue to do so in support of the political and policy goals of President Obama and Congressional Democrats.”

    Obama is oblivious to the will of the American people and the man has no idea what he is up against in 2012.

    An Open Letter to the American People;

    It does not matter if you are a Democrat, Republican, Liberal, Conservative or Libertarian, our nation is in the middle of a Constitutional crisis which is being all but ignored by the media.

    On December 22, 2010 the United States as a Republic died and our nation lost its President.

    As a Republic, we were a government of the people, for the people and by the people. We were a nation that had the most successful framework man had ever known providing unparalleled in human history.

    On December 22, 2010 the Federal Trade Commission under and Executive Order by Barack Obama announced the FCC was going to begin regulating the Internet. The government is trying to tell us that they are trying to make us safer by taking away our freedoms.

    You see on April 5, 2010, a three Federal Judge Panel told the FCC that they had no authority to regulate the Internet.

    On September 29, 2010, Henry Waxman allowed the Net Neutrality Bill die due to lack of support, so in effect, Congress said no.

    Now on December 22, 2010 against the will of the people (Congress) and with legal options and Constitutionality issues closed, President Obama stood by after taking an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States ordered the FCC to ignore the courts and Congress; thus the people and the rule of law.

    When this happened, Obama ceased to be the President of the United States of America and a dictator no better than Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, Joseph Stalin, Adolph Hitler and a host of others.

    War has been declared on the United States of America and our nation is being called up to protect and defend it for future generations. Whether acknowledged or not, the American people have the greatest protectors known in the world and make no mistake about it, they will protect our nation and have taken an oath to defend her against all enemies foreign and domestic.

    Constitutionally, President Obama is now walking a fine line of remaining President or having the United States military walk in to the oval office and remove him forcibly and make no mistake about it, they will do it if it means protecting our nation from a dictator.

    This is not a Conservative problem or a Liberal problem it is a national crisis and Constitutional crisis.

    Our government, including the White House has been run over by leftist extreme radicals, people who are declared their affiliations with Communists, Marxists and Socialists parties. From Obama’s confidant Valarie Jared, who recruited Van Jones an avowed Communist to Anita Dunn who worships Chairman Mao, who was responsible for as many as 40 million deaths during peace time inspired her.

    Instead of wearing t-shirts with George Washington our children are wearing pictures of Che Guevara, a man responsible for the murder of over 4,000 political prisoners in Castro’s prisons.

    Recently, Hugo Chavez asked that the government of Venezuela to provide him the ability to govern by decree for the next 18 months which his corrupt government provided. Obama has not asked for this type of power, he is just issuing executive orders and even bet Chavez to the punch when it comes to regulating the Internet.

    Van Jones, an avowed Communist recruited by the Obama administration as the Green Jobs Czar is on record stating that he was impressed by the coup pulled off by Chavez and his takeover of the airwaves. Jones’ background was well known within the White House and Valerie Jared, Obama’s confidant said that they had been in fact watching him since he began his communist beliefs at Berkley.

    Another example of Obama’s actions of a dictator has to do with Green House gases. Under the Clean Air Act of 1973, Congress established the Environmental Protection Agency and provided it with limited powers but does NOT include the regulation of Green House gases which is one the main reason for the Progressives pushing Cap and Trade.

    Cap and Trade was passed by Nancy Pelosi’s House but the bill failed to pass the Senate and died. Again, Obama issued an executive order implementing Cap and Trade without the authorization of Congress and the American people. Beginning January 1, 2011, the EPA will begin regulating Green House gases beginning with carbon monoxide, the very gas you breathe out every time you take a breath.

    Cap and Trade was introduced as a result of Global Warming and as information began being leaked showing and proving Global Warming was a hoax and a scheme for the redistribution of wealth and proponents immediately began calling it Climate Change.

    When holding hearings on Global Warming, Congress heard from so-called experts as Al Gore but refused to allow the testimony or world renowned climatologists further showing a refusal to get to the truth. Obama and members of the House where willing to pass legislation that would cost American tax payers trillions of dollars in new regulations, taxes and increased costs while refusing to make certain that Global Warming is in fact occurring, is in fact manmade and is in fact controllable.

    We have seen corruption by members of his administration with the Interior Secretary Ken Salazar filed documents with Federal Judge Ken Salazar that contained blatant lies in order to build a case for the drilling moratorium.

    If we lose our ability to trust our government, we have lost our nation and are living under tyranny. If the government is willing to lie to the courts making a mockery of the rule of law, so can we trust them any longer to present truthful, real and hard evidence at a trial? If you were on trial would you want the jury to see the truth backed up by hard evidence or false and fabricated evidence?

    Yes, these things do affect you. The foundation of our political foundation is one vote per citizen yet we have organizations trying to circumvent your vote by enlisting and enticing people to vote that we, the American people have not given them.

    Our enemies within the government are trying to tell you, the American citizen, that they do not respect nor honor our Constitution and will ignore the limitations that we, the American people have placed on it. They tell us that times have changed at that our Constitution as is no longer applies.

    They use the courts to make changes to our Constitution, refusing to allow the people to make any changes. Look at what happened in California, the people voted on and passed a Constitutional amendment banning gay marriages as required by their state constitution. From the bench, a judge called the people wrong and called the amendment to states constitution, unconstitutional invalidating the vote and the will of the people.

    We have witnessed our Representatives going home to attend Towne Hall meetings with historic hostility of the voters regarding the government takeover of healthcare.

    First, we had a vote in Congress that not a single Representative or Senator read the massive 2400 page bill.

    Second, Nancy Pelosi stood in front of the American people and said, “We (Congress) would have to pass the bill to see what was in it.” Would you ever sign any contract without reading it and knowing exactly what you are getting into?

    Let’s say that you were going to buy a car at a dealer known for telling buyers one thing and then without their knowledge changing the entire terms of the contract.

    You are told that your car note is going to be $500 and the dealer asks you to sign a blank contract saying they will take care of the details later. When your statement comes, you find out that the price of the car doubled and the monthly payment that you are stuck with is $2500 a month – 5 times more than you were told. That is what Congress has done to us with the healthcare bill.

    Congress tells the people one thing and then tries to play the other side of the fence. They said that the healthcare bill would contain penalties for those who did not have health insurance. Being that Congress does not have the authority to impose penalties for inactivity, the Obama administration is now calling it a tax. If the government can force the people to but a particular product, where does it stop? Will they be able to force us to buy a particular car? A particular computer? A particular television?

    Our government is now trying to tell the American people that they will protect us but in order to do so, we must forfeit our Constitutional rights against illegal search and seizure while refusing to use their knowledge of the enemy to identify the enemy. Our own President has authorized the killing of American citizens without a trial when identified as an enemy combatant. So now, Americans citizens have fewer rights than the terrorists who are trying to destroy our country.

    Our leaders tell us that as a nation we must be sensitive to the Muslim population and Islam when in reality as a nation we can completely ban the entire practice of Islam and people must be made aware of that fact. Yes, we as a nation can and have changed our Constitution a number of times over the years and it can be changed again.

    If the American people feel too threatened by Islam, we as a nation can pass a Constitutional amendment banning Islam, Sharia and everything else associated with Islam and no one can say a thing about it.

    People have forgotten what our Constitution says and works which has now brought us to a fork in the road, a Constitutional crisis if you will.

      I agree with the points you list in your post and you will know that the fall of our republic is upon us when you see and hear of the round up of the guns held in American citizens hands

      That is the last thing standing in the way of the lefts complete power grab. When the gun grab starts we as a country will be at a crossroads and then we will see who will fight for our republic and who will sit back and be lead to the slaughter like the Jews were in WWII.

      I hope that there are many here that are willing to stand up and fight to save this thing we call a republic, the United State’s Of America, the greatest country in the world. Give me liberty or give me death long live the republic!!!!!

      We are within a hair’s breadth of loosing our Republic,and all we do is talk about which of the rinos would make the best replacement for the socialist commie now in the white house.
      The 2012 elections will truly decide the outcome of the great experiment.
      It is time for freedom loving Americans to stand up and be counted.
      As someone said “its time to fish or cut bait” You only have two options,
      You can stand tall on your two feet and shout to everyone the truths that we know about what is happening and fight it till your last breath…..OR
      Silently and meekly accept the chains of slavery and be led to the ovens.

      A STUNNING JOB AND I AGREE WITH YOU TOTALLY. I am glad to see someone keeping such close track of what is going on. The disregard for and crippling of the American people is so corrupt it beggars belief. We have to keep fighting back in any way we can before Obama becomes a complete dictator, I have been saying for almost a year that is where he was heading. Now he is going to try to convince the people that he deserves 4 more years. I am going to do what I can to get the rest of the garbage out of the congress and help get better people in there. IT IS OUR ONLY HOPE!

    I personally am having a great time watching the lefties squirm because they don’t know who is going to run.
    I hope the GOP waits until the last possible moment to announce candidates.
    They want to know sooo bad.
    The longer we wait the less time they have to attack whomever it is.

    We have 2 years to prepare for the defeat of Obama, starting right now. Never let up, keep the folks engaged in the fight to restore America. If McCain had not declared Obama’s pastor off-lmits, had not declared his birth status off-limits, his Occidental College tuition off-limits, the trips to Pakistan in ‘82 when no American could do so, and what country’s visa did he use, he never would have had a chance to be POTUS. There were so many ways to have defeated Obama if only the lame-stream media had not gotten that “tingle up my leg” feeling and gave him their full support, cover-up of his shortcomings, corrupt friends and associates, his .total lack of experience in ever running anything. And they let him get away with saying Palin had no experience, when she really had plenty of it.
    But, gee, he could read that teleprompter. What a bunch of blind and deaf folks who voted for him.

    He does not believe in the 2nd Amendment and also wants illegal immigration to continue.

    Stick with the most conservative and libertarian. Palin/Paul would be UNSTOPPABLE.
    As far as Obama winning, yes, if you give us the same choice as last time, a RINO or Obama.

    Palin got the base rallied to win the largest turnover in sixty or seventy years. 640+ changeover in the states.

    And YOU want to go with a dang RINO!? The left attacks what they are afraid of. They do not attack someone that is not a threat. Learn some Sun Tzu please. Also research your choices instead of listening to the LSM. Yes, offer Christie the job of deconstructing the Department of Education. Also give him the job of disbanding all federal government unions.

I mean when the candidate says he wants to fundamentally change the country and has a far left voting record (when he votes) what did you expect to happen???

      There is no ONE Republican, Tea Party, or Independent that stands out. Obama got elected because the DNC stood together and pushed and the media covered up the obvious far left of his agenda. The Republicans are disunited squabbles inside and out – at least 30% are progressives that agree with Obama’s agenda. – think RINO Charlie Crist or the wonderful RINO Colon Powell (yes, that’s how “I” spell his name.) “I” personally don’t think Palin can win because she is too polarizing – and many will simply not vote for her, they won’t vote for Barry, but not to vote IS a vote for Barry, regardless of who finally gets put up.

      If the RNC puts up Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, and “old” hat candidates, Obama is a shoe-in. We need to look at the new runners: Mike Pence, Allen West, and others. We also need to question Obama’s eligibility over and over and over and over. Demand from our states to have a candidate prove eligibility before being put on the ballots. Voter fraud is going to be rampant. Start lobbying your state legislators to realize the possibility and take all precautions against it. Plan NOW!

    this is no time to sit back and wait for the s**t to hit the fan! 83% of the budget is entitlements. they are gonna want to keep the gifts coming thier way. 41.5 million on food stamps. They will all look to the dnc for more more more. The new house will be blamed for starving children and killing the american dream . Many cities have trippled the issuance of fines to fleece the public for new dnc funding. The public unions spent millions trying to get the dnc re-elected in the last election in Nov. Now they are pissed off. We are gonna be regulated for safety purposes until we hide in our homes.

      Coincidentally, there was an electrical outage……at the time that reid was in the fight of his life, barely hanging on……and voila!…….electrical restored……reid starts edging ahead in every district.

      The precinct registers should be reviewed…….for the number of voters signing in at the polls….vs. the number of votes counted.

      Reid’s win was vote rigging for sure……just like in California w barbara boxer; pelosi; jerry brown…..Arizona for raul grijalva;

      PRAY FOR USA, I agree with you. We can not get to comfortable and assume that everything will change after the Republicains we elected are sworn in. We all know what the progressives are capable of and how low they will stoop to get what they want. We do have to single in on a candidate that can beat obama in 2012. Right now there are to many and it looks like we are scrambling for someone to represent us. We have to follow each potential candidate and their voting records in the past two years. We are in no position to take anything for granted. We know what qualities we are looking for and can not settle for less.

    Hopefully with the majority of flyover country now painted red, there will be enough people in place to reform election rolls to reflect those who actually CAN vote legally, once. ACORN has a right to vote just like everyone else. As long as it is only ONCE per person actually alive, legal, and properly registered.

      That’s a big part of “our” problem: We mostly agree that President Obama is a train wreck and really needs to retire. It’s time to stop pointing out his short comings and concentrate on what our side intends to do. Who can realistically beat him? Who is ready and WILLING to serve that has a chance? Who would actually serve the people as a whole and our great nation?

      I don’t know the answers. Do you?

      the “suit” is not empty. it has done more, along with the Socialist, Marxist, Communists in the Congress and Senate, to destroy these United States since the South seceded in the mid 1800′s.

      @It’s Gonna Getcha – sorry, but he cannot be impeached for lying – otherwise there would be no politicians. AND in the two years there are left – there will not be a single (unless something extraordinary happens) call for his impeachment – not even for malfeasance in office.

      If all you do is talk, curse, and make snide remarks – Our “dear friend” Barack will get another 4 years. He’s accomplished much of his avowed agenda – even if some of it is on the ropes momentarily – now he can act like Bill Clinton – and be the comeback kid of “bipartisan” comradeship. So for two years he will do what he “must” do to get re-elected – then he has two years to complete the rest of his agenda.

      West could get some of the black vote away from BO, I have heard interviews with black community leaders say BO is not “black enough” since his mom is white. From what I hear about West he could get the conservative vote and the independents should support him too. Might not be a bad idea to have him on the ticket as pres or vice pres.

      I think West is a great idea. Although I don’t know if he would get enough of the black vote because he is more conservative than blacks like to vote. I do think he would get a lot of the independants and he’s not as polarizing as Palin. I would vote for him.

      Kate, there are MANY blacks who have encountered “buyer’s remorse.” I mean, EARLY ON they began talking about “wtf” have I voted for?!

      I’ve discovered that the blacks are afraid of the word “Communist.” Unless they keep up with today’s politics, they don’t know what a Progressive is. W-e-l-l, I explain it to them whenever I get a chance. He was raised by Communists, and he is a member of the New Party, which is Communist. Their eyes get big every time! Then I hit them with takinjg over our economy, the auto industry, banks, healthcare, etc., to make the country dependent on government, not jobs and free enterprise.

      A friend of mind has a store that hasw everything from dollar jewelry to furniture, including Obama tee shirts and pictures. He said that Obama stuff had stopped selling. “Nobody wants it anymore.”

      I’ll tell you what is selling: Gasden flags! “DON’T TREAD ON ME!”

      It would be nice if jobs were even secondary to this selfish dictator. He’s had 2 years to care about jobs. If he does anything at all now, it will be to get re-elected. He is a selfish, worthless self-serving liar that cares for no one but himself and his lavish, selfish lifestyle.

      Acorn: The Sequel. Coming to a town near your in 2012. They will have no problem finding plenty of funding for the presidential election. They are most likely cutting back workers in areas where they have Secretaries of State in place, or heavily unionized areas, or old Acorn deceased voter records already available. No need to spend money where votes don’t count anyway!

      There‘s only ONE job that Obama’s concerned about, HIS. I find this bit of news really invigorating. As one who works for a living, I don‘t feel sorry for those who don’t and never have held down a real job. I guess Obama, the community organizer of community organizers, doesn’t see any need of organizing communities for his reelection campaign. Good !
