Jobless Occupiers Stage Sit-In at Mitch McConnell’s Office

About 20 jobless D.C. residents — some members of the Occupy movement — staged a sit-in Thursday afternoon at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s office. The activists came clad in homemade T-shirts reading: “I need a job.”
According to ABC, alongside the Occupiers, other participants are part of “Our DC,” a jobs advocacy group. The activists were reportedly dining on Subway sandwiches while “occupying” every piece of furniture in McConnell’s office lobby — some sat on the floor.
Most of the protestors pledged to remain where they are until they are granted a face-to-face meeting with the minority leader.
ABC adds:
“We believe the senators need to hear, feel and understand the pain of the unemployed,” a member of the protest said, “The bottom line for here is that there is bitter, bitter pain of not working and gridlock and they want folks to see it, hear it and feel it.”
The group has been offered a lower-level meeting with a McConnell staff assistant, but the protestors said they wouldn’t leave until they got to speak directly to the majority leader. The protest has so far stayed calm and peaceful. As they occupy McConnell’s office, the protestors have been busy on cell phones delivering the same message to other senators.
“Every day, I apply every single day. If I’m not on the computer, I’m out there looking for various work around the region,” Andre Henson, an unemployed short-order cook said. ”I go to D.C., Maryland, Virginia. Doesn’t really matter. Anywhere I can get on the train, because I don’t have a car. But I’m out here every day doing it.”
The group said the main purpose of their visit was to make senators “feel the pain” of D.C.’s unemployed.

These m0r0ns would not have known who the Minority leader was, or that such a position even existed. If they had actually known that much about the Senate, they would also have known that the position is essentially powerless.

Regardless one thing is for sure these people get it!! This is where the TEA party failed. Sit In is as peaceful as you can get imagine doing this to Pelosi, Frank, Schumer etc?! I dont agree with many of the actions and philosophy of the Occupy terrorists but they do have a lot of the same “beefs” as the right and some things they have done are good tactics, AS LONG AS ITS CIVIL WITHIN THE RULE OF LAW. They are willing to cross that interpersonal line I think many in the TEA Party were prepared to do! Now they have the limelight while the TP continues to get labeled the bad guy. Was it worth it? Yes you saved face but it got you know where and maybe it could have changed the direction we are in now had some in the TP crossed the line within themselves. Saving face will not fly anymore folks time is running out to be all prim and proper. I have been harping this for well over a year and a half. What will it take for people to wake up esp now that the left is in full gear. We are going to lose this the longer good Americans stay silent and complacent! http://SavingtheRepublic.com

They will conduct unproven smear campaigns against candidates like Cain and hope that voters will not question the validity of their accusations. Obama and his gang publicly support the Wall Street Occupier thugs because they are drawing attention away from the inept job they have done in the White House since 2008.
They know they won‘t win by following society’s rules of decency and honor because those on the left are basically amoral creatures. Their viewpoint is that the end justifies the means…..even if it means playing dirty pool to get there.

TROLL ALERT, TROLL ALERT, TROLL ALERT!!!
It was not a jobs bill, it was a jobs killing bill. It was a tax increase bill. It was another stimulus bill like the one that failed before, that cost $280,000 for every job “created or saved”. It made permanent tax increases for temporary jobs. It is a form of money laundering, to fund socialist unions, that in turn fund the treasonist democrat (socialist) party.

How many people in the US have starved to death this year? Your example is pure BS. When I worked Anybody can collect cans to recycle and earn enough to eat, not to mention all the food programs available from local churches and other organizations. I personally know a homeless man who earns more than $250 a week collecting cans. He doesn’t even have to pay taxes on it. Those people you talk about can seem to afford their crack and their cigarettes and booze. Go overseas if you want to see real poverty.

I even made my kids pay rent when they turned 18, I have never made an insurance payment for them ot bought them a car, a phone or a TV and they are all on their own and well adjusted individuals now and my youngest of 3 is now 21.
Spare the ROD, SPOIL the CHILD. These bastards need the ROD not more handouts that wr have to pay for. The serious diffference between this new generation and my fathers generation is that we no longer teach them to work for themselves. We are not set up to be a commune, NOR do we want to be one. The USA was set up to become your own business weather it be an artist or a mechanic or a scientist you find your talent and utilize it to make a place in the market, compete, innovate and create!! We no longer teach that in our society because of the breakdown in the family structure. Grandpa’s in a home and the kids are in daycare, What the hell is that. ITS COMMUNISM!!!!
