‘Clueless’: Rant-Prone Congressman Cuts Loose on ‘Well-Funded Far-‘Left’ Occupy Efforts

Joe Walsh: OWS Advocating Anti American Solutions

Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh caught national attention when he went off during an especially agressive town hall tirade earlier in the month. The Tea Party favorite passed off his tone as the result of drinking a “little too much coffee” on an empty stomach. At another town hall this weekend Walsh did not get as irate, but delivered some cutting rhetoric to describe his opinion of “Occupy Wall Street” protesters.

“This whole Occupy Wall Street…stuff…is a well-orchestrated, well-funded far left effort to disrupt the American people and rile up Obama’s left base,” said Walsh.

Walsh asserted his opinion that Occupy Wall Street is “Advocating anti-american solutions,“ and yelled that they are ”Clueless, when it comes to what this country’s all about, and the rest of the country ought to educate them.”

After these comments a woman in the crowd asked Walsh if he considers U.S. military veterans protesting in the Occupy Wall Street movement “anti-american.”

“I don’t know how many veterans are part of the Occupy protest,” answered Walsh.“I can’t imagine it’s many, but anyone who would advocate socialist solutions to certain problems in this country, they don’t understand this country.”

Some unrest broke out in the crowd when Walsh spoke about what he believed the Occupy Wall Street movement was advocating.

“They came out with a 14 or 15 point manifesto that basically advocated a living wage for everyone,” Walsh said. “Absolve all student debt. Absolve all mortgages. Everybody gets a home. Everybody gets free health care. What do they advocate?”

A man named Doug who claimed to have participated in the Occupy Chicago protest Thursday said; ”These are real people, with real problems and the government is not addressing their problems.”

“They’re giving priority to big corporations and multi-millionaires. They were able to bail out the big corporations, but when it comes to the average person, they’ve done very little. These are real people that are very frustrated and they have no other outlet.”

Doug went on to say that he believes the Occupy Wall Street movement is grassroots having started from the “ground up,“ but the Tea Party movement was funded by big corporations ”that played on the real frustrations of the average person.”

Walsh allowed a man in the crowd who is critical of Occupy Wall Street to follow Doug, creating a debate between those supporting and those critical of Occupy Wall Street.

Walsh the told the crowd that both Republicans and Democrats want what is best for the country, but argue about what they believe the government can do to fix the problem. Walsh said that he believes the Occupy Wall Street protesters are on the far left of the ideological spectrum, believing that government should do everything. To this, Walsh asks “How can government do everything,” and said that he does not believe it is possible.

If they are ‘real people with real problems and the government is not addressing their problems’, then why are they not protesting the government instead of the organizations that have bought the corrupt Washington politicians (liberal and conservative)? It’s because they are proposing communism as a solution, and they are advocating the violent overthrow of the government, and that’s the definition of treason.

      BMartin1776-

I so often feel like you. Like we need to make the case by mob and it has to be visual. BUT, that will not win the day. We need to be individually persistent, find every opportunity to spread conservative virtues. And, we need to get voting right. We have leaders, us.

Regarding the people who don’t care, don’t get it, or whatever. I run into it about every hour, every day. The truth is, some of it is overwhelming and unbelievable to people. Especially if they have heard and believed the dogma all their lives. I have had so many, “What!? really?” reactions that it used to scare me.

Frankly, in 1992 I started seeing what I could not explain. In 2001 I found the conservative voices that would speak out. I never turned back. I will never, ever forget sitting on the sofa watching B. Clinton win in 1992. I was crying and I was drinking a glass of wine (have never been a big drinker) and I had such a sense of dread. In 2002 when people started turning on Bush because of the spin and the uncertainty, another sense of dread.

It’s simple. We have the constitution and we have history. We need to learn from it and use the knowledge. It’s all there…

The Workers of the World/ union controlled Far Left, masquerading in America as the Democrat Party, has been scapegoating corporations ever since the Supreme Court allowed corporations the same rights as unions and people in the Citizens United decision. Obama and the Democrats , who allowed all of the bail-outs which enlarged government control over industry, then used these bailouts to enable their union lefties to rail against the nasty corporations for being bailed out ! Oh, what a complicated web of intrigue these crafty Lefties weave. The present administration and the Far Left which supports it have become an ever-increasing absorber of power and an ever-increasing source of anti-capitaslist and pro-divisive rhetoric. Never has a party in power done so much to cause friction and division in this country. And where is Mr. ” Votes Present ? “ Still ”feeling their frustration” when these Occupiers have busted city budgets, become public nuisances , and made civil law and order their target ? Or still trying to impress the world with his most recent “Asia ” guest appearance?

As Ben Franklin said, three men can keep a secret as long as two of them are dead. Your whole screed about Leftist plots is pure manure. And no, Democrats and Keynesian economists were going after corporations before the Citizens United decision. And yes, Citizens United is a dangerous decision, because it does make free speech equal to money, he who has the most money has the most speech. If you don’t think Citizens United will be a problem for this country, wait a few years and see what happens.

Desertrose, let’s just suppose your theory holds true, then I will suggest it has already been happening for decades. “How” you ask? The monopoly-unions have been openly supporting democrat candidates for as long as I can remember. They bilk their “forced” members to pay dues and use these monies to back/fund their campaigns, as well as, pressure these same peoples to vote for the candidate(s) they financially backed. The largest benefactor of wall street (fat cat) and union monies for the last several years has been Barak Obama (what a hypocrite).

The hierarchy of these monopolies only worry about their fiefdoms. They hold the “fat cat” employers hostage by creating disharmony in the work place and then threatening to strike if their demands are not met. They are pro less work, more wages and benefits, as well as, for candidates who believe in higher corporate taxes and more regulations. This will cause the employers to cut back staff to maintain profits for their stock holders of which the different monopoly unions are included. How does this help the average worker?

Now, let’s consider these corporate “fat cats”; they (the upper management) are hired by the share holders (includes unions) to keep/make a business profitable. How does this hurt the employee? It may cause cutbacks and/or layoffs yes, because of new regulations and non-business friendly taxes there may be streamlining in some areas, but the loss of ten jobs is better than t

the business closing up shop and moving out of the country and all jobs lost. What do the monopoly-union leaders care, as long as they get a good return on their money investment. (the needs of the bosses outweigh the needs of the workers)

Finally, when a government determines how a private business is run you get fascism. That is to say, the “state” makes sure that business is only concerned with how it can benefit the “state”. You get a “nanny” looking over your shoulder to make sure you are only concerned for the good of the nation/state (EPA, Dept. of Ed, Energy, IRS, H.H.S., H.U.D. and the list goes on and on).
