John Kerry: Media Has ‘Responsibility’ to ‘Not Give Equal Time’ to Tea Party

John Kerry has waded into the media waters and now wants the news to cut out conservatives he doesn’t agree with.
During a discussion of the debt deal and the economy on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Friday, the current Massachusetts senator and former presidential candidate lambasted the Tea Party and conservatives and the idea that they should be given “equal time” in the media. According to him, their ideas are so wacky that they don’t deserve air time:
“And I have to tell you, I say this to you politely. The media in America has a bigger responsibility than it’s exercising today. The media has got to begin to not give equal time or equal balance to an absolutely absurd notion just because somebody asserts it or simply because somebody says something which everybody knows is not factual.
“It doesn’t deserve the same credit as a legitimate idea about what you do. And the problem is everything is put into this tit-for-tat equal battle and America is losing any sense of what’s real, of who’s accountable, of who is not accountable, of who’s real, who isn’t, who’s serious, who isn’t?”
And this guy was almost president.

Kerry needs us silenced and disarmed, because on the intellectual battlefield he has no weapons, no ammo, no cover or conceal, and nowhere to run. He has no credible allies, and only his own lungs to support himself. In short, he brought no weapon to this artillery match of ideas. Oops.
Then again, I don’t believe in fighting fair. If he’s dumb enough to have to rely on silencing the opposition for a victory, he has earned his fate.

This is to our “friend” who keeps spamming this thread with “Bad news” about site traffic numbers for TheBlaze and GBTV.
As a full time Webmaster for the past 12 years, I know a few things about Alexa that our “Friend” doesn’t. First of all, Alexa gets it’s traffic numbers by counting how many browsers visit a site using the Alexa Toolbar, if you don’t have that toolbar, your visit never gets counted by Alexa.
Secondly, The alexa numbers can be easily gamed simply by adding the toolbar to your browser as you work on the back end of your site(Each time you refresh a page to see a change, alexa counts that as a Visit). I tried it a few years back and in 2 weeks my site jumped about 30 places in the traffic listings.
and Finally, anyone who has ever had the alexa toolbar can tell you that every anti-malware program on earth considers the Alexa Toolbar “Malware” or Spyware.
Now what does this all mean? Well taking the statistics logically, it means that only leftists are stupid enough to keep the Alexa toolbar.

This is exactly what the founders had in mind. To allow opposing views to fight it out in the market place of reason and analysis of the facts, not rationalization. There by coming to a consensus through discourse on the merits or detrimental aspects of the subject being discussed. I feel sorry for all that buy into their ideology because in the end the People will loose if they are incapable of determining the truth.
