John McCain Talks About the Rise of a ‘Fed-Up Party’

Back in 2008, Sen. John McCain mentioned the possibility of the rise of a third party. Yesterday, at a Reuters Washington Summit, he revisited the idea and all but claimed that it was a certainty.

“Unless both parties change, then I think that it’s an inevitability. We aren’t doing anything for the people,” McCain said according to Reuters.

When asked by reporters whether it would be a branch off of the left or right  or whether it would be a centrist party, McCain responded, “I think a Fed-Up Party.”

McCain went on to criticize Republican leadership for “not [having] concentrated enough on the concerns of Americans struggling to make ends meet,” according to Reuters.

“The party, I think, has got to be a lot more responsive to the plight of the people,” said McCain.

How should they address said plight?

“I think we have to weigh in far more heavily on the side of things like reforming the tax code. If we reform the tax code, then many of these large corporations that paid no taxes last year . . . maybe they would.”

Reporters naturally asked the so-called “maverick” whether he would leave the Republican party should a “Fed-up” party ever emerge.

“No, I don’t think so,” he responded. “I will continue to complain about things but . . . I still haven’t given up on the Republican Party.”

One of the final comments from McCain came after he was asked about possibility of the emergence of a Tea Party candidate.

According to Reuters, McCain was “doubtful.”

“The Tea Party was a movement, not an organization, as we know. And so they’ve kind of receded. There was never any permanency to them,” he said.

“But I think that you could see a national movement, that there‘s a group of people saying ’look we may disagree on some specific issues but we’re not one of them,’” he said.

AND THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT WOULD belong to this party are the people that would not vote for obama anyway…OF COURSE THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE “ANY” DEMOCRATS. They will vote for him even as they are losing their jobs, houses etc…

The reason…the BPOS tells them it’s the Republicans in senate in congress that are standing in the way…AND DESPITE REASONING…THEY WILL BELIEVE HIM…
The Republicans never answer back and tel the public he’s a freaking liar…so, they’ll lose again.

John McCain is the one person, on the GOP side in AZ, that has never responded to my letters, e-mails, etc., but two others that care have responded and answered my questions. They are Paul Gosar and Jon Kyl, and they have said to wait for the election to mete out some of the bad, and the legal process will prevail against Obama and his group of criminals. Nobody wants to throw out BHO and have Biden take over. They feel that we will be able to reverse the bad things that Bam-Bam started. Let’s pray that they are right. John McCain was a good military person. He’s not good for AZ, anymore.

John is a republican because he rad for Goldwaters seat and could not get elected if he called himself a democrat. What is puzzling is why the people of AZ keep re electing him when he is so obviously a liberal. He is also anti military: He is retired from the Navy but wants retired personnel and disabled vets to take pay cuts and a reduction in medical benefits. He has his Senate retirement and Medical coverage and he married lots of money. His attitude toward his fellow vets stinks.

Well we may not support McCain but he is right. Both parties are a disappointment to the people.while we can’t start a third party now, I can see one by 2016. We will have 4yrs to organize, educate, and develope a third party that has no ties to the greed and corruption that reeks in Washington. If the republicans don’t stop bashing each other and show this country a united front, they are finished. People are tired of all the political garbage and simply want a government to honor our constitution, cut spending, balance the budget, protect our borders, and develope jobs here in this country. We want a president that does not apologize for our actions, that stands with our true allies, does not infringe on our rights, will lower taxes, drill for oil here on our soil, one who will not divide the races, will enforce immigration, will not allow those who choose to come here force their cultures and laws on the American people, We don’t want a president who wastes our taxpayers money with bailouts or stimulus bills. We want one that will respect the privacy rights of its citizens. We want a limit on campaign funds. We want the bills and legislations posted for us to view and we want a report on the voting records of each representative that can be easily accessed. We want welfare to be closely monitored and action taken for those who abuse the system. No more lobbist. No more bashing Christians. We want health insurance opened accross state lines. We do not want a socialist country!

McCain may not have ‘given up on the Republican Party’, but it is safe to say that the Republican Party has given up on him. He seems to suffer from a split personality….one day he leans right and the next day he is tilting left. Americans admire those who stay the course and remain true to the ideology of their party. McCain just doesn’t fit the bill anymore. You don’t publicly trash your party and then hope to be welcome at the next reunion.

Someone should tell McCain that the SPIRIT of the Tea Party will never recede. They will probably never be a stand-alone party but that is not the point. It is their pure patriotic spirit that needs to be kept alive in the coming years. Their demand that America should return to its roots and listen again to the wisdom of its founders is just. The fact that McCain cannot see this is sad and a bit frightening.

Mr McCain, you are a traitor and a nuisance to the Republican Party. Your weak influence with the American people should have been evident during the 2008 elections. It was your’s to lose.
