Johnny Cash’s Daughter to Boehner: Stop Using My Dad‘s Name You ’******’

It may be the weirdest, non-nonsensical expletive you’ve ever heard. But last night, Rosanne Cash used it to let John Boehner know how she feels about him invoking her father Johnny’s name on the campaign trail.

First, Boehner’s popular stump line, as reported by the New York Times:

At each stop he draws on nostalgia for the Republican glory days of the 1980s, by telling the same joke. “Remember when Ronald Reagan was president,” he said. “We had Bob Hope. We had Johnny Cash. Think about where we are today. We have got President Obama. But we have no hope and we have no cash.” It draws hoots of laughter and applause every time.

While some may laugh and applause, Rosanne Cash is fuming. She took to Twitter to let Boehner know it:

John Boehner: Stop using my dad’s name as a punchline, you ***hat

In case you’re wondering, the redacted portion is another three letter word for butt. And if you’re still having a hard time understanding the expletive (like I did), you can see it here.

As Politico’s Ben Smith said, it’s “an expletive I’ve never had to try redacting before.”

    Hey Roseanne check this out:
    “Folsom Prison Blues”

I hear the train a comin’
    It’s rolling round the bend
And I ain‘t seen the sunshine since I don’t know when,
I’m stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin’ on
But that train keeps a rollin’ on down to San Antone..
When I was just a baby my mama told me. Son,
Always be a good boy, don’t ever play with guns.
But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die
When I hear that whistle blowing, I hang my head and cry..

I bet there’s rich folks eating in a fancy dining car
They‘re probably drinkin’ coffee and smoking big cigars.
Well I know I had it coming, I know I can’t be free
But those people keep a movin’
    And that’s what tortures me…

Well if they freed me from this prison,
If that railroad train was mine
I bet I’d move it on a little farther down the line
Far from Folsom prison, that’s where I want to stay
And I’d let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away…..

Behave everybody. Start acting like adults, and decent ones. Would Johnny Cash be proud of how some of you are talking? Our republic cannot stand if its citizens are not civilized. We need to act as if we are worthy of sucj liberty.

I don’t see a popint to this story. But what is even more pointless is taking umbrage at her remarks. It is her fathers name. I don’t know whether I would appraciate my fathers name being used in a stump speech.

Let’s see, Ma and Pa died, and apparently took the talent with them. This little parasite, well, she’s probably just as lib as Ma and Pa were. Cash was a Dem back and June Carter Cash was a cousin of Jimmy Carter’s. However, Johnny & June were at least polite. Their kids, no class. I’m sure Boehner is losing sleep over this latest slam. You should crawl out from under your rock! I do not mean that in an antagonistic way, I see by your above comment that you are no Johnny Cash fan, and that is fine. But did you know the man has had three posthumous albums now that have been in the top 10 on Billboard? Aint no Grave is an awesome work. He has also been featured in at least two big screen movies that I am aware of since his death. But all that aside, he will be remembered as being well within the top 10 most influential musicians of the twentieth century in any genre. As a person he may have had his ups and downs and he may have had some tragic flaws, but as a musician he will be revered forever. Love him or hate him you cannot deny the influence he continues to have with up and coming musicians of many styles of music. His music matured as he did and his last recordings such as his cover of Hurt are indescribably artistic.

Anyway…Rosanne is a POS that needs to just snort some more blow and fade back into her liberal stupor…

Rossane Cash needs to get a life and realize that HER DAD was a tremedous public figure and entertainer with fans all over the world. He belongs to the ages and to all of us who loved his music, laughed at his antics and cried when he was going through his battle with alcohol and drugs. He is an icon in the country music field and a recording phenomenon that spanned the generation gap. I believe he would have been proud to be alongside President Ronald Reagan in a nostalgic trip down memory lane. I believe Rossane Cash should thank Senator Boehner for reminding us of our roots and American heritage that both Johnny Cash and Ronald Reagan were such a part of that they will never be forgotten. It was a compliment Rossane and you should be thankful somebody is keeping YOUR DAD’S name live.
