Bringing some much needed levity to Thursday night’s Republican presidential debate, former New Mexico governor and GOP candidate Gary Johnson enjoyed his “moment” of the evening when stating that “My next-door neighbor’s two dogs have created more shovel-ready jobs than this current administration.”
The quip drew cheers and laughter from a very receptive audience. Watch the clip below:

Posted on September 23, 2011 at 12:40amI see a new strategy the media and even Glenn Beck is using. In order to take any press off of Ron Paul, we will now have a Ron Paul clone. Paul isn’t even shown on The Blaze in clips because we have a new diversion in Gary Johnson. It a way to “nudge” people away from supporting Ron Paul. Beck doesn‘t like Ron Paul anymore since Paul stated he’s not willing to send American troops to fight Israel’s battles. Like I’ve stated before, I don’t see what this love for Jews is all about since they are behind most of the socialistic, leftist, degenerate movements in the US like gay marriage and abortion. You don’t speak ill of Israel or you will no longer get press time from anyone including The Blaze. Anyway, the new media strategy is to throw in this new guy Gary Johnson to take the spotlight off of Ron Paul. It‘s really a corrupt system and I can see why it’s called the lame-stream media. Ron Paul has been moving up in the polls, so this past strategy of “ignoring him” hasn’t worked, so now we need someone to divert attention away from Paul. I hope this propaganda technique fails miserably.

Posted on September 23, 2011 at 1:31amoh come on, Paul is on the blaze weekly at best. Sometimes not in the best light, but this is actually a relatively small website. Maybe you should visit more often =).

Posted on September 23, 2011 at 3:03amYeah, Glenn went from praising Ron Paul for being the closest thing to our founders, to belittling him and letting his guest David Horowitz, call him a menace to America and an anti-semite. Glenn has his head so far up Israels ass, he can’t see the bigger picture in the middle east. Israel has 300+ nukes and the largest military per capita in the world, and second strongest in the world period. I’m pretty sure if Iran even got one, they wouldn’t be dumb enough to use it. The USSR had 30,000 nukes and it’s gone now, but where are THEIR bombs? They also threatened to kill us, and had to capacity to, but didn’t, because of mutual respect for great power.

Posted on September 23, 2011 at 4:47amJohnson is a notably better option than Paul, while at the same time sharing more of Paul’s views than any other candidate. if libertarian leaning conservatives really wanted to advance their views, the best thing that could have happened would have been for Paul to pass his mantle on to Johnson who is very worthy of it.that he didn’t, IMO, probably points to an over-inflated view of himself and his importance.

Posted on September 23, 2011 at 8:20amIf you don‘t understand why Glenn has so much love for Israel then you clearly aren’t listening to what he says , instead you’re watching news via the MSM . To quote my good friend El Rushbo , “Ron Paul is nuts on parade” , end or story .

Posted on September 24, 2011 at 6:02pmRon Paul’s position on defense and foreign policy are outrageous. America will not go for it. Obama’s positions on the economy and jobs are destroying the country. Clearly, Paul has put himself out of the race because of his positions and not due to any media bias. Therefore, he will never get the GOP nomination and Barrack Obama will lose re-election in 2012.

Posted on September 22, 2011 at 11:42pmGreat debate tonight. The line by Gary Johnson was a very good one-liner, one that I will enjoy listening to for the next week.
I thought Newt Gingrich was the best out of all of them because I was looking at the substance of the answers – not for the “flash” and not looking for who scored best fat looking “presidential.” But ANYONE on that stage would be better than BHO.
Report Post »Bill Rowland
Posted on September 23, 2011 at 6:35amYou’re wrong – Gingrich is the smarest man on stage snd the mosr politically savvy. He knows how to give the people what they want to hear (Contract with America) but he is another do as I say not as I do hypocrite. Look at his record while in the house and when he was speaker. Some of his actions were a little to far to the right.
Newt would make a great Secretary of State or Chief of Staff. His intelligence and political abilities are to good to waste.

Posted on September 23, 2011 at 4:53amSadly, I expect the evangelicals have so much influence in the primaries that Johnson won’t move up (it‘s no coincidence this is only the second debate he’s even been allowed on stage for) which is too bad because he’s the best candidate in the field.
the fact that Ron Paul couldn’t bring himself to gracefully defer is also a big stumbling block. If Paul had done so and thrown his supporters to Johnson things might actually get a little interesting. but no chance of that now.
I will be investing a lot of hope in the idea that if/when he does get out he allows the Libertarian Party to nominate him. It would be nice to vote for a guy a few people have heard of at least.
Report Post »Libertarian
Posted on September 23, 2011 at 10:34amI disagree Tammy,
Abortion must be the center of your agreement/disagreement with this field of candidates. Where we probably disagree is the stages and life cycle of a human. Like Ron Paul, I believe the life cycle starts at conception.
Do you think it is odd that conservationists in my state are trying to save the salmon population by protecting the fertilized eggs; they are not saving the salmon population by protecting the “Alevin’s“ or ”Fry’s.” As we know an egg or sperm alone cannot produce offspring, it is when they meet that the first stage of the life cycle begins. This is no different for a human.
The role of government is to protect Life, Liberty and Property. We as individuals have to define “Life”, not a few men in black robes sitting behind a bench hearing a case (Roe vs. Wade).
Take care

Posted on September 23, 2011 at 12:20amHate to break it to you, but Paul is in a SOLID 3rd place Nationally, and his support isn’t going anywhere. Once people realize that Superstar Ken, and the drugstore cowboy are more of the same phony conservative BS, he will gain even MORE ground. Ron Paul already has more donations from the MILITARY than ALL of the other Repubs COMBINED and even more than Ohmamma. Ron Paul ALSO has the most support of independents, and Democrats.

You either WIN with Ron Paul who was recently shown 1 point behind Ohmamma in a head to head poll, or you LOSE by voting for another phony conservative with skeletons in their closet, and gets hammered in the General election. You better PRAY that Ron Paul doesn’t go 3rd party, because if he happens to lose, then you will DEFINITELY get 4 more years of Ohmamma.
He’s the ONLY doctor in the race.
He’s the ONLY economist.
He’s the ONLY one who predicted the financial mess in 2003, when the others laughed.
How many of these OTHER clowns have you seen being interviewed about the economy on the financial channels? Bloomberg,CNBC,Fox Business,Forbes, Cavuto have Ron Paul on once a week at least. Cavuto said Ron Paul could “practically be a co-anchor, he’s been on so much.”
