There are times when Jon Stewart can be very funny. Last night, that was the case, when he finally weighed in on the firing of deposed MSNBC host Keith Olbermann, and dismantled the rest of the network’s hosts, including special attention paid to Ed Schultz, in the process. And it was all couched in a sort of backhanded compliment.
Glynnis MacNicol at Business Insider might have said it best in her headline about the story: “Jon Stewart Finally Gets Around To Tearing Keith Olbermann To Pieces (And It Was Worth The Wait):”
Olbermann was watching:
Schultz has responded via Twitter also:

I for one decline to listen to most replays and I”ll bet I am not alone on that. Please keep is informed textually.

Posted on February 5, 2011 at 9:58amI second that. I often read the Blaze while listening to the radio (sometimes online) and don’t really want to cut into one to hear the other. Reading is what I prefer. But, Pegler1, in fairness, unless you know some technology I’m not aware of, yeah, it would definitely be a lot more time consuming for the Blaze staff. I’m not seeing all that many ads on these pages, and it isn’t a paid subscription, so how much more time can they afford to spend on it?

Jon Stewart, SNL and George Carlin are only funny when they mock conservatives, making their humor “smart” and “observational.”
When those same people mock liberals and progressives, they are just being “mean-spirited.”

Unlike democrats, I suppose….OOPS! http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/democrats-rake-record-donations-corporations/story?id=9777742
**No net neutrality**
Net neutrality‘ is actually ’net censorship’. Do you really want some bureaucrat deciding what‘s ’fair’ on the internet? Only a liberal would take something that isn’t broken and try to fix it.
** No ban on guns for lunatics**
Aside from no one ever having said that, can you explain how you intend to enforce such a ban? Pass more laws? Yeah, crazy people clearly care about the law.
** No drivers licenses**
WTF are you talking about?
**No preexisting conditions** Right Because if you had a clue as to how insurance works, you’d know rates are based on risk management. When you mandate everyone get treatment regardless of risk, you’re no longer managing risk, you’re providing a service as a payer, and rates are going to skyrocket for everyone–as they have since Obamacare passed.
** No kids on your health plan.**
Only if you think people over age 25 are ‘kids’.

Thats ANOTHER GOP lunatic in fully swing.
“Verizon to charge different rates for downloading internet pages”
— Net neutrality is NOT something the GOP want. They want the FCC to butt out of enforcing net neutrality and leave it to the carriers to decide what to charge you and how much. So, extra $$$ for a video from The Blaze, or extra $$$$$$ for a youtube download or upload or mega $$$$$$$$$ for a Netflix video.

I got to the point where you said that Republicans don’t care about you. That is a lie, and you know it!
Then you said:
“No net neutrality. No ban on guns for lunatics. No drivers licenses. No preexisting conditions. No kids on your health plan.” – GOP
Why should there be net neutrality?
No ban on guns for lunatics — Had the nut job in Tucson been declared a lunatic? Our Constitution protected his RIGHT to carry a gun. The law says murder is a crime, not the gun.
What do you need a driver’s license, which is a priilege, if you’re here ILLEGALLY?
Pre-existing conditions? The government has raised healthcare coverage already, and in the end, they are going to ration treatment.
No kids on your health plan?! They wanted to keep “kids” on until they are 26 years old!
You are so full of it.
Republicans are trying to cut spending because, do you know where it comes from to pay for all the entitlement programs? YOUR pocket and EVERYBODY ELSE’S pockets. Our taxes are out of sight! Food prices are going up. Gasoline prices are going to skyrocket. Energy costs are going to skyrocket. Everything Obama’s agenda has called for makes everything skyrocket.
How about instead of spending almost a trillion dollars on Stimulus I, putting that money in the bank accounts of the American people. There would be no interest paid on it to China, and it would have given something to BOOST the economy with! If you don’t have the money, you can’t spend it. If you aren’t buying, production stops. Stores close. More people get laid off. Government now has to pay unemployment. Kinda dumb, isn’t it? Well, what Republicans are trying to do is reverse the damage done by Obama.
Hmmm. You’re not smarter than a fifth grader.

@ BUTLER180
READ CAREFULLY
Driver licenses:
You said: “What do you need a driver’s license, which is a priilege, if you’re here ILLEGALLY?”
You folks dont get it or read properly: Bobby Franklin (GOP) doesnt want driver licenses for ANYONE, legal AND illegal. Whats next from the GOP, no medical school certificate to practise as a doctor?
GOP = NUTS
Nor do you clearly have any idea what net neutrality is and how the GOPs policy will affect your internet experience:
Its all very simple: pay (comparatively) zero for accessing the blaze via your internet connection, pay zero for accessing youtube on your internet connection, pay zero for everything. Thats net neutrality.
No net neutrality (ie the GOP way) is: pay (comparatively) zero for accessing the blaze, pay $1 for accessing youtube, pay $2 for accessing netflix. etc. This stupid scheme proposed by the GOP is NO net neutrality.
In other words, no more fixed flat fees for internet access. No same speeds for accessing all web sites. On the other hand, net neutrality (which the GOP oppose) would ENSURE that this price and quality discrimination NEVER happen.
The GOP want the ENTIRE health law scrapped. I dont see any exceptions in their scrapping proposal for preexisting conditions or kids on policies.
@ showtime
Ive left your best for last:
“How about instead of spending almost a trillion dollars on Stimulus I, putting that money in the bank accounts of the American people.” – what, dishing money out tax money free to the population? Huh??? Isnt that, GASP GASP, socialism???

I think the people on this site would agree with you that Franklin is a nutjob. That said, he is not representative of all conservatives you moron. You seem to paint with a broad brush. Using your logic:
“You folks dont get it or read properly: Bobby Franklin (GOP) doesnt want driver licenses for ANYONE, legal AND illegal. Whats next from the GOP, no medical school certificate to practise as a doctor?
GOP = NUTS”
Then the liberal Hank Johnson (D) Georgia says that Guam may capsize from overpopulation. He’s a Democrat. So:
DEMOCRATS = NUTS.
And net neutrality will give the administration powers to CONTROL CONTENT on the net as well as set pricing. You’ll love that until a conservative administration is at the helm.
Do you even know HOW to think beyond a few seconds in time?? Have you ever read the Constitution, or do you just believe it to be the ramblings of crazy old men like most of your ilk? I guess you just want to be spoon fed by the government for your entire life because you’re too lazy to make your own way in the world.
Just remember that a government big enough to give you everything you want is also big enough to take everything you have. And don‘t think they won’t.

No doubt. Laugh at yourself when fault is found by another in you, or you are just a shell, and one incapable of love for you cannot love yourself.

Posted on February 5, 2011 at 4:48amholy crap Ed cannot take a joke! It’s sad when you have to go to comedy central to see a decent left-wing show. Props to them for finally doing a piece that included mocking MSNBC. I bet Rachel was crying after hearing she isnt adequate
Look up “Jon Stewart Crossfire.” He tore Tucker Carlson and the other guy apart!

Posted on February 5, 2011 at 4:29pmSo funny to watch the the bias nonsense on this site. Stewart is only funny when he skewers the “Other side” (which he does REPEATEDLY, BTW.) However, when he does it to the conservatives, he’s a moron.
Hypocrisy, you are a bitter drink. What will be really funny is that if Beck ever finally grows a spine and takes up Stewart’s challenge and goes on his show. At least O’Reilly mans up and will actually have a debate with someone with an opposing position while Beck just hides behind his blackboard.
