Jon Stewart Mocks Obama’s New Video While Exposing Broken Campaign Promise

Call me crazy, but it seems Jon Stewart is becoming less and less a fan of President Obama every day.

Last week he hammered the president over the assertion that NATO would be taking over the war in Libya. This week, he‘s lampooning the president’s new campaign video and one of his biggest, broken campaign promises: transparency.

In the segment, Stewart is baffled by the “supporters” used in the president’s new video. How’d we go from “yes we can” to “you know, whatever?” he asks. He then quickly moves on to pointing out one of the most ironic news items of last week — that Obama received a transparency award in secret.

Watch the segment below:

The Daily Show With Jon Stewart Mon – Thurs 11p / 10c
Victory Lapse – Obama Transparency Award
www.thedailyshow.com
Daily Show Full Episodes Political Humor & Satire Blog The Daily Show on Facebook

It will be interesting to see as the campaign picks up if Stewart’s disillusion is because of what the president is doing, or whether he’s upset with what the president is not doing. Is he upset Obama is making harmful decisions, or is he angry he isn’t liberal enough? We’ll see.

Barack Obama has broken or simply walked away from more promises than any politician I have witnessed in my lifetime (60 years). The fact that he actually believes he deserves another term after this debacle demonstrates a level of narcissism not seen before in American politics. His continued outright ignorance on so many subjects is nothing short of stunning. But he’s got community organizing down to a science!

The debt bomb is coming. We can not defy the laws of sound economics forever! Stewart is just peripheral fluff! The real crisis — the mother of all financial crises — will be the debt bomb. U.S. government debt and the U.S. dollar will collapse in the next 2-3 years unless we voluntarily choose a path of self-imposed discipline and austerity. This is what the credible economists are saying; people like Niall Ferguson, John Mauldin, Dr. John Hussman, Davis Rosenberg, etc. Read what they’re saying to be informed.

That is going to have to include ALL entitlements, including Social Security and Medicare. That’s not popular, but its true. Get off your delusion if you think your entitlement will be spared. Unless we see the politicians address this reality, a crisis is a certainty.

Obama’s new proposed budget in over 44% debt! Even if we stole the wealth of ALL the rich in America, it isn’t enough to pay for that kind of debt. And the next year, we’d have another deficit with no rich people left to pay for it! See Bill Whittle’s recent video on this; Glenn presented it on his radio program and on The Blaze last week.

Obama has successfully, but temporarily, created a mirage of prosperity through debt and money-printing (the Fed). The mirage is will end sometime in the next few years. NOT decades — YEARS!

Think about it. What will be only thing that will be able to bail out the entire U.S. government when that crisis occurs? Yup! GLOBAL government. George Soros’ dream!

Prepare for a crisis of biblical proportions, because it’s coming. Plan and prepare accordingly! Got food? Your’e gonna need it!

Comedians make fun of everybody. When there’s material–it’s great fun. The one thing I see lacking on the right lately (my side, by the way…) is an “attaboy” when a liberal does or says something correct or actually for the good of the country. It would help credibility quite a bit, I think.

Bottom line? The RNC is going to pick another knucklehead to back and we voters are going to wind up being stuck with another Obama/McCain choice. We’ll lose the race, our opportunity in the House and our momentum in the Senate.

It is time to tell these new “darlings”, flavor of the month…that they can best serve their country by NOT running or even TALKING about it. Don’t dilute the votes, confuse the voters or stain each other with mud “taking your shot” at a post you can’t win and are not qualified for.

Creestof… totally agree… the GOP needs to put somebody forward, like now. Obama is going to start running (as if he already hasn’t), and the GOP is a giant question mark.

And if anyone thinks donald trump has a shot in hell of winning, they are high as a kite. a GOP leader usually has some sort of morality, and class. i saw him on the WWF wrestling last year… many ex wives… etc. Most people don’t look at him and think “president”, they look at him the way they look at paris hilton.

HOLY CRAP!!! I can’t believe that John Stewart is actually doing this! I bet that when Glenn’s prediction of Hillary running in 2012, she’s going to run this as an ad against him…

      Jon Never was a Cheerleader.
He supported him during the campaign but once his presidency started and he didnt live up to the hype Jon pulled no punches on him.

Are the rats beginning to leave the sinking ship ? Obama’s latest blooper was his acceptance of a “Transparency Award” in secret and behind closed doors, closed to the media and therefore to the American public. The only thing transparent about Obama‘s government is the fact that it’s not transparent.

Obama believes his own mith that, “he can do no wrong”. That may be his downfall in the 2012 election. This guy is so accustomed to applause and pats on the back that he doesn’t tune his ear to the criticisms of the American people. He only listens to his “yes men and women” who tell him what he wants to hear.

If Obama wants to have a “transparent administration”, then show us the birth certificate.

      Creestof,

There are a few people out there who have the right credentials but aren’t involved in the Tea Party enough to be considered extreem. Jon Huntman seems like a good candidate. I’m looking forward to the primary. I imagine this will be the most difficult primary the republican party has ever had.

He’ll never lose Jon Stewart as a cheerleader. Stewart has completely missed and obviously stepped around soooooooooooo many other opportunities to make Obama jokes some joke would just have to come out sooner or later.
