Jon Stewart Reveals Segregation & Class Warfare in the Occupy Movement

Jon Stewart Explores Class Warfare at Zuccotti Park, Occupy Wall Street

“The Daily Show” had an intriguing and, of course, comedy-laden expose on the intense class warfare that has developed down at Zuccotti Park. Before police moved in to forever change the rules of the occupation earlier this week, the show‘s very own Samantha Bee delved deeply into the internal issues occurring among the movement’s adherents.

In introducing the segment, host Jon Stewart called the protesters “the least-toileted generation” and explained that the movement has been ‘”threatened by powers even greater than the City of New York.” What are these powers, you ask? Internal segmentation, apparently.

The segment opens with Bee interviewing protesters. One man she speaks with describes the class warfare that seems to be emerging. ”The more people that came, the more people that…kind of like…segregated into their own little groups,” he explains. “The park…split in half.”

Another protester explains that the college “hipsters” who live in Brooklyn have been trying to rule the park. Apparently, these more privileged individuals, who live in what’s dubbed the “east side” of the park are very different from those residing in the “poor peoples’ encampment” (also known as the “west side”).

Bee quips that the upper class elites have a library and expreso machines, while the “downwardly mobile” have their drum circles. According to some of the west-enders, those living in the east-end are making decisions without consulting everyone in the park.

“So let me get this straight,” Bee says to one of the protesters. “You’ve been here eight weeks and you already have a ghetto?” The dialogue is classic.

When she asks one of the east-enders how many hours of “work” he has put in, he says, ”I don‘t keep track of time when I’m here.”

Watch the hilarity, below:

That moment was priceless. “Everyone should be sharing their wealth and stop being so greedy and selfish… But keep your hands off my stuff!!” – Perhaps these protesters should have started in their own backyard.

Typical Dem/Lib mentality though…Warren Buffet calling for higher taxes for everyone else while he dodges the taxes he should have paid already. Politicians calling for everyone to pay their fair share, while at the same time earning millions and giving almost nothing to charity.

“The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money,” Margaret Thatcher.

They couldn’t even make their little society work for a small group and they thought they could make it work across all of America and even across the globe. Nice try, Marxists, but WE TOLD YOU SO… many, many, many times. Try again somewhere else where you aren’t a nuisance to the rest of us just trying to live peacefully and trying to do what we believe is right for ourselves, our families, and our communities. Equal opportunity does not guarantee equal results. Marxism can only drag societies down into increasingly deeper poverty and despair. I‘ll never be rich and I’m okay with that. I’m not greedy. All I hope for is to someday find a job that isn’t completely miserable.

Zuccotti Park is a microcosm of the world these idiots want to create and think is so wonderful. It’s also the natural progression of societies, with people organizing themselves into groups. With respect to socialistic societies, the elites will always gravitate towards one another and try to rule with the idea that they know best. This is a classic example of that, and this is what liberal elites want. They want nothing to do with those they see as the great unwashed (and that includes not only the poor, but people who are affluent/middle class and don’t agree with them ideologically – i.e. Conservatives.) Funny.

the blaze is a cool site cause they are trying to show people in their own words, in the hope of getting the truth out to the public… and when there is someone even of the opposite political persuasion that makes a very valid point, and is funny, i think it is good to point them out and say, see jon stewart can even see the blatant hypocracy of the OWS movement now… and the blaze is also good that when someone says something that is openly biased or without fact they call them on it too… the funny thing is that the blaze would just be huff po if they were only trying to tell their agenda, and constantly bash people just for not being conservative… i really like that they try to include faith economy pop culture and more all in one site, and the best part about the blaze is that most of the stories are VIDEOS and CLIPS, with a short context… so you can hear people in their own words… and will even have stories that dont always line up with glenns agenda, like global warming stories, its a great site, i must disagree, HIRE MORE PEOPLE GLENN

It is human nature. Even though the morality of these interesting folks calls for utopian equality, the human animal inside each of them has a desire to survive. For some, this desire leads the person to go along with the pack, while for others it drives them to quietly seek control over others so as to always maintain an upper hand in times of trouble. Capitalism acts as a check for this desire coupled with morality of freedom by ensuring that both success and failure are not permanent nor ultimate – in other words, Capitalism allows the pack-mentality individual a chance to escape that animalistic tendency, while putting down the leader-mentality individual once they begin to exercise immoral dominion. Without it (such as when Socialism infiltrates Capitalism under the guise of “fairness” and “compassion”), the animal instincts leads to these divisions and, without exception, the subjugation of the pack by the leaders.

      Liberal

I think that is only because the Movement is essencially over, because it
was taken down. They now can and will make fun of it. It would probably
have been “forbidden” before it was torn down.

So… the Liberals are denying… that the bad part of Liberialism… is actually Liberal… but it is a byproduct of the Capitalist Class System. Great thinking Jon!

I’ve seen him on Oreilly and he seems perfectly sane. He’s got a great gig thats for sure. He blows with the wind and has a ball doing it.

I watch the show, when I can… and it aways seems funny… then, once I digest it, I realize that there are preverted twists in it… and I hate that I was seduced! I wish my reaction time to analysis was quicker… but, then, that’s just me.

Communists always think that everyone will be equal under their system. Somehow, it never works out that way.

Living proof that our forefathers where right
They did not offer a society of equals, but rather rules for equal opportunity in God’s country
