Jonah Goldberg Breaks Down During Fox Interview Moments After Breitbart News Hits

National Review’s Jonah Goldberg considered himself a close colleague of Andrew Breitbart. And in a Fox News interview on Thursday, it showed.

Just moments after the news of Breitbart’s death hit the Internet, Goldberg — who was on Fox earlier — did an interview to talk about the conservative media personality. And he broke down.

“He was one of the most fearless people I ever knew,” and emotional Goldberg told Bill Hemmer. “It’s hard news to take.”

“He truly loved the fight … One of his favorite pastimes was to retweet all of the hate that people threw at him because he considered it a badge of honor.”

Wasn’t for him, there’s no Drudge, no Huff and Puffpo and frankly probably no Blaze. He was Drudge’s right hand man and was there at the real “Web Epiphany” with the Drudge posting the Blue Dress post, igniting the Monica scandal the MSM wouldn’t touch with not much real confirmation but gut, and he was right as rain.

Changed history, and here we are.

The Lord will just have to raise up a few more warriors. Andrew Breitbart was a man’s man, and as Jonah Goldberg has said, utterly fearless. His spirit, character and grit is what it will take to turn this country around. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and four young children and to our nation, for they have lost a good husband and father, and we have lost a warrior and a true patriot.

Andrew was a great General in the Free Conservative Movement. He will be missed greatly. My personal heartfelt sympathy goes to his family, Jonah and each of us who is fighting the good fight.
For the sake of peace, I pray there was no foul play. I also pray we get the truth from the cornor. Who will be looking into this? It’s sad to think that his greatest story may well come from his own death.
Many do not realize that he started out as a liberal. Unlike the vile leftists who are revelling now, he saw his mistake and became a warrior for “truth, justice, and the American way”. He was my Superman.
Our duty now is to pick up his sword and fight on with new strength, fearlessness, and determination. God will bless Andrew Breitbart. ..rf

      A true Conservative Tragedy!

Andy was just breaking in to the libbie dominated Hollywood Infotainment scene, when he was tragically taken from us while still young; just like John Belushi, Andy Kaufman, and Lee Atwater were.

He could have been so much, much larger than he was! Big, really big. And he wanted Fame! Pity…

The legend will never die! His light-hearted comic antics will make us smile and chuckle for decades. When I think of him, he will fill up my heart like Elvis, JFK or John Candy would. Or Sam Kinneson.

when i think of nixon i think of hippies.when i think of hitler i think of world war two vets. when i think of bush -i think of osama and 19 hijackers.over time-i find people are more united by the time they lived then their possitions- ideology.A radical hippie of the 1960′s has more in common with nixon[they both drank the waters of their time] then an occupy wall streer has with hippies.A tea partyer or stanuch conservative today has more in common with occupiers then with bill buckley. That we shared the same time becomes [over time] more meaningful then who we were ideologically similar to in the past. Both nixon and a hippie would look at you with a blank stare if you[a rightwinger or a left winger or even a 'terrorist' said to them [back then] what’s your e-mail address?Right ,left “good‘ or ’bad’ -they had in common their innocence -of what came after. All past and people in it appears quaint because all people in the past are innocent [would look at you befuddled if you imagine yourself saying something to them like can i borrow your cell phone] of what happened after. That innocence unites all people in a past with each other more then with their future ideological cohorts

Andrew was a true journalist, which is almost a lost occupation these days. It wasn’t his voice that created news, as he used the videos and audios of others to make the point. He is reviled as the MESSENGER of liberal hypocracy, In many cases it was easy to do…simply edit the material differently than the complicit mainstream media, showing context and statements others did not want us to see or hear. God bless you and rest in peace, Andrew, and condolences to your family. You will be missed. Who has the cajones to pick up his banner and move forward with real news?

I was shocked also when I heard the news. We need every warrior we can get with the way the filthy Left fights. But I take heart in that only a few years ago all there really was, was the lonely voice of a single warrior named Rush Limbaugh. He has been telling nothing but truth for all these years. Only the truth. My how the cowardly, evil liars on the Left hated him and falsely maligned him then and still do now. They are like vampires in the light when the truth strikes their skin. They shrivel like the creatures of darkness they truly are.

But look at what the groundswell of Conservatism has spawned since those lonely, early days of Rush’s first crusades! There are tens if not hundreds of voices speaking truth to the willfully ignorant, the vile twisters of reality and the merely uninformed. I won’t mention their names because everybody has their favorites and knows well who they are. We are truly on the rise and have been for quite a while now. Look at the power of the Tea Party and what we have accomplished in so short a time. The Left continues to writhe like worms in the grass but we are rising like a Tsunami with every new iteration. With every new wave we grow stronger and like a Tsunami, our unstoppable power is hidden- appearing to be merely a ripple under the keel until it strikes the shore with such force that it just doesn’t stop. That’s why they underestimate us in their shallowness and scoff and that’s why they always will. But they will see.

Andrew Breitbart was one of the greatest video editors of all time. He could have made Forest Gump look like a Nazi. He could have made George Baily look like a Communist. He had a gift for editing video in such a way that he destroyed the lives of liberals whose liberal goal is to get poor people to vote. He’s an American hero, although not a real journalist in the tradition of Walter Cronkite, but more than that, a great video editor.

Andrew Breitbart exhibited courage, few others, of his conservative contemporaries have shown. There are a few like Jonah, Ann Coulter, but TOO few. He revelled in tweeking the noses of the radical left. Those that wrote hateful articles on his passing can now go back under their rocks to Sodom and Gomorrah, and await their spiritual leader, satan! I know Andrew would pray for them, and hope for them to repent of their wicked thought and deeds,as I do! He is with our Lord, awaiting his fellow travellers, still journeying, on this earth, to bring others to TRUE truth and Repentance

You want to know what freedom is? When they try to enslave millions and millions of people who are used to doing and going where they want to, and therefore enslaving them doesn’t work. And the only other choice of slaves are people who are complete utter leeches on the system, and there will be no value in them either. Therefore the people who run the show will be forced to eat each other. Now that’s freedom!

So, by your proxy statement for the libs, you are going to be an even lessor loss than this GREAT man. Sad, but just like all the other lying libs, from the Presid ent on down, Pelosi to the Occupier, you just keep showing your idiocy, right in front of the real force in this country. ahhh, the beauty of hypocrisy and free speech, always on display if you know how to look.

I wish the best for his wife and kids. I didn’t agree with all of his work or methods (as I‘m sure many people here don’t), but he had the guts to shine a light on topics usually hushed up by politicians. May he rest in peace.

It’s a true shocker! The guy was very, very smart. Always enjoyed his commentary and opinion on various political subjects. Even though he was libertarian leaning (which I have a problem with), I found a lot of what he said to be very appealing as a Conservative. He will be missed for sure!!!

I hope there will be autopsy. I have not heard of any health problems he had. It’s just so hard to believe that he died of natural causes at age 43. I’ve known several people who died in their mid-thirties to forties, but they died of heart problems which were part of a family history. Right now I feel as though I’ve lost a family member. God bless and comfort his family and friends.

As Beck said on his radio show, and in depth autopsy MUST be performed. There is somethin funny going on. I definitely doubt “natural causes”. I hope Andrew’s companies continue his work with a vengeance.

Just like Vince Foster committed suicide with a gun with no gun around the body. Andrew was out walking in the evening when he collapsed. He was a powerful voice against corruption. Questions for sure.
