We’ll it will be interesting to see who shows up….not many I suppose…Actually, I’d make book on it. A group of people with no message, no ideas, no purpose to be their; I really don’t see the motivation…but God Bless them, let‘s hope that the mischief makers don’t trash the Mall.

Broker: You do realize the numbers and photos will be skewed to represent far more people than actually attend. Reports will show that this rally completely eclipsed 8/28 by double or even triple. Since the media and the left cannot grasp the meaning of 8/38 they have to diminish its impact to save face.

Funny how these libs want to cling to the illusion that they are the majority. IF they do put on this so called rally, I’m sure it would attract people that I would not want my kids around. Guaranteed arrests and a mess left behind. Funny thing is, all stops will he pulled in getting people to attend this and the naacp rallies in Washinhton and they still won’t get as many as Glenn did on his show and P

Yes – many people dont or cant “get it” but, please dont’ cast this as D vs. R debate – 8/28 really had nothing inheirently to do with politics.

8/28 was about personal responsibility, embracing Faith, Hope and Charity and making a personal challenge to yourself to re-connect with God, Family and Honor.

It was a special day, I feel sorry for those who feel the need to mock what a wonderful event it turned out to be.

No matter what the left may say or do, if God moves, and we are on God’s side, “if God be for us, who can be against us?” No need to worry. He is in control! :) And raising up an army! :)

Unfortunately too many people take him seriously, especially young people. My son, almost 21 who graduated with honors and had off the charts ACT scores and is now in college to be a history teacher actually thought Colbert was doing the real news…seriously. That scares me since he’s been raised in a very conservative home that talks politics all the time. He and his friends get their “news” from Stewart and Colbert ! Coupled with the brainwashing they got in public school it’s a double-wammy. He does tune in to Beck and O’Reilly sometimes, but we really need to pray that the left stops dumbing down our kids…heck the progressives are even dumbing down the adults !!!

The John Stewart thing hasn‘t eben happened yet and they are acting as if it’s the most amazing event in our Nation’s history – yet Beck and friends attract 300,000+ people to DC for a 3 hour revival (nothing to do with anything but Faith, Hope, and Charity) and the media (specifically CBS) estimated 87,000 angry tea party racists stole Martin Luther King’s dreams! I went over to another site and asked two simple questions of the Stewart/Colbert fans that were ranting about how their rally will eclipse 8/28. (http://www.politicususa.com/en/beck-colbert-stewart/comment-page-1#comment-29909)

Needless to say I wasn’t very welcome but here is the history of how this event was started from their side:

A poster on Reddit woke up one morning and thought it would be great if Colbert did a satirical version of the 8/28 rally:

“We’ll all stay totally in character as teabaggers. The kid with the microphone that interviews all the idiots at these things can come by and we’ll ramble into his microphone. This would be the high water mark of American satire. Half a million people pretending to suspend all rational thought in unison. Perfect harmony.”

In order to get Colbert‘s attention and prove that it wasn’t just a gag the Reddit poster encouraged others to donate to donorschoose.org. Only after a few thousand was raised did Colbert and Stewart pick up on the idea and begin to promote it.

While their combined total has broken $280K (http://www.donorschoose.org/donors/viewChallenge.html?id=39361) not only was the rally and fund raising not Stewart/Colbert’s original idea but there has been next to no promotion on their part to continue to raise charitable donations leading up to or during their rally.

In short the “Reddit satirical public art event, featuring Stewart and Colbert” can in no way be considered any kind of response to the advertised or delivered content of 8/28. Instead it is a crowd of people on the Mall pretending to do what they actually do every night, “suspend all rational thought in unison” while watching Comedy Central.

HELLPIG – Watched it for sure. I felt that Stewart desperately tried to take over the interview and make it an excerpt of his show. He FAILED. Just looking at is consistent facial expressions should reveal his desperation to take over. He is a sausage no doubt. But what stuck out for me is his admittance to failing as a TRUE comedian as he conceded that Dennis Miller was a real COMEDIAN. Those who think Stewart is funny must like Sesame Street as Adults. Your little flock will do no damage to those we need.

How quaint! A rally to preserve the “Status Quo” while the tyrants try to dismantle the American Revolution.

Whatever!! This is what the US is… Freedom of Expression. Now if this does happen, I hope that it is reviewed and made fun of as much as the 8/28 Glenn Beck event was. Who knows maybe it will rain and the only ones who will be there will be Jon Stewart and Joy.(less)

I caught a bit of her show last night, and Joy was baffled, I mean seriously baffled, at why property taxes in upstate New York are so much higher than in, say, East Hampton.

That, in a nutshell, defines the source of her problems – a lack of understanding.

First off, in East Hampton, single family homes cost, on average, *about* ten times what the average home upstate costs, so with a greater ratable base, the per $100 tax rate is much lower.

Second, how many families in East Hampton have children, let alone send their children to public schools – some do, absolutely, but the majority of properties are owned by families that send their children to private school (if thay have any). Here in NJ 2/3rds of my property taxes go to my public school system directly – if the school district were smaller, that would cut my taxes significantly.

She was talking with Ty Pennington, and it was tough to determine which one of the two was dumber – Ty seemed to have no idea how to act on television.

      Here’s a link to the segment: http://joybehar.blogs.cnn.com/2010/09/23/ty-pennington-i-even-scream-in-my-sleep/

thepatriotdave Here im Kalifornia (behind enemy lines) we dont know about pretty cows… The TV tells us they are “HAPPY COWS”. Well, having poured concrete on some of these ‘happy cow’ dairies I would say that I have seen happier death row inmates. Oh so fab Joy is just about that happy and joyful. Remember in the movie The Devil’s Advocate, when the other lawyers wives faces would turn into demons for just a second, then turn back??? What do you think Joys face would look like, or could she be stuck on demon??? Just thinking out loud???
