‘Jumped the Shark’: Krauthammer Slams Obama Campaign as They Double Down on ‘Felon’ Charges

The Obama campaign’s attack on Mitt Romney for potentially being a “felon” has backfired in almost every conceivable way. But don’t tell Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt, or we’ll lose all sorts of unintentional comedy. You see, since the accusation was made, LaBolt has been the poor staffer required to defend it, and he’s been doing everything in his power to stick his foot in his mouth as much as possible. Witness this maddening segment with MSNBC’s Ed Schultz:
We could spend time tearing Mr. LaBolt’s charges apart, but as it happens, Charles Krauthammer already preemptively did it for us. Just watch the following clip from Krauthammer, explaining how this is the moment where the Obama campaign “jumped the shark.” It pretty much sums up everything we could say:

Posted on July 13, 2012 at 12:05pmWell…Obama was bemoaning that the shortcoming of his term thus far has been that he hasn’t been a good storyteller for Americans. I beg to differ…he tells lots of stories and this latest one about Romney is a doozy.
Report Post »Hasn‘t anyone noticed that he hasn’t been rolling out David Axelrod too much lately but rather Axelrod’s deputy Stephanie Cutter? Axelrod is seen as too creepy and unlikable so the milder (but no less corrupt) Cutter has been the one doubling down on the “Romney may be a felon” gambit.
Now..a quick consultation with Timmy Geithner would tell these clowns that a senior executive of a company who leaves the firm still has ties to the firm without being part of the firm’s running and policy making. This is exactly what took place with Romney after he left Bain to handle the Olympics, as a senior executive of Bain he still had interests at Bain but no longer was party to decision making for the firm. Cutter knows this. Axelrod knows this. Obama knows this (ok..Obama’s a business ignoramus but his keepers have told him this) but that doesn’t stop the chicago thugocracy from sowing inuendo and lies and of course the enemedia plays the game for them.
My gut tells me this is backfiring on Obama. This is a serious accusation and reeks of desperation and dishonesty on Obama’s part. This will hurt Obama because Americans want to hear solutions to the job problem and the economy, not muckraking and inuendo.

Why would I vote for Obama. He is a progressive big spending, freedom stripping warmonger. He is no different from Romney. They should be on the same ticket. Romney is the most liberal candidate the GOP has ever had to my knowledge.
Obama is the weakest president this country has ever had and Romney is struggling. The speaker was correct, most people voting for Romney will be really voting against Obama instead of for Romney.
As long as Romney has a budget that doesnt cut current spending levels, continues to support the NDAA, wants to stay in the UN, continue endless pointless wars, and ignore the FED, he will not get my vote.

The funny thing about your post is they always lack facts. I post videos of Romney in his own words supporting abortion, being for the NDAA, wanting to keep the TSA, saying Bernanke is doing a good job, saying he will not focus time on the FED, wanting to continue the wars in Afghanistan, wanting to expand the wars to Syria and Iran, or pro amnesty, and even being pro gun laws.
You on the other hand make fun of my name or say I just want legal drugs or some garbage like that. Is it the fact I see your candidate as horrible progressive candidate who will continue our bankruptcy since his budget doesnt cut current spending levels? Or maybe its because he said he was glad Obama was using his plan for Obamacare in 2009?
See the real problem is you are stupid. You have been told who to vote for and if I am not mistaken you are a Mormon. So basically you are hoping and praying for the “white horse”. You, however, seem to have no problem spouting off everything as fact, and then posting videos, etc, that don‘t support what you’re saying! I have learned a long time ago you don’t go to detractors to get the truth about a candidate. I encourage everyone to go to http://www.whyromney.com for the TRUTH on his record, his plans and his positions, do your own research and decide for yourself. I certainly would not believe you to give them to me since I have already caught you in lies.
Yes, I do make a little fun with your web name. I do this with others as well and I encourage you to poke a little fun at mine as well. It’s all in good fun and livens things up a bit. Please do not take it too serious or get mad. OK, Buddy?
I don’t think myself stupid, though I’m definitely not as intellegent as those who seem to think themselves so. But, I do feel I have a healthy dose of common sense, something definitely lacking in the world. As for the white horse thing, isn’t it a knight in shining armor riding a white horse that saves the damsel? As for the rest of your post, I’m not sure what that has to do with political debate, but I guess it means something to you. Hey, Romney is not a perfect candidate, NONE are, but he will beat obama and get us back on the right road.

Posted on July 13, 2012 at 1:20amMuttly, Muttly, Muttly,
Still posting half truths and inuendo, I see. Your remarks on the Bain Capitol use of so called “bailout money” came strait from Huffington Post–a favorite site of you obamatons.
Your reference to ‘bailouts’ was in reality an insurance payment for a pension shortfall of a failed steel company that went bankrupt as a result of cheap import steel. All of the steel industry suffered and only a few survived the foreign assault. Bain tried to turn the company around but couldn’t overcome the global onslaught of this cheap steel from China.
This from huffpo:
“The U.S. Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp, which insures company retirement plans, determined in 2002 that GS had underfunded its pension by $44 million.”(this a result of the 2001 recession) “The federal agency, FUNDED BY CORPORATE LEVIES, stepped in to cover the basic pension payments,“ Did you notice the words ”FUNDED BY CORPORATE LEVIES”? That means NO TAXPAYER DOLLARS were used!
Now, dear Muttly, by your reckoning, if you have ever received benefits from a flood insurance policy(FEMA AGENCY), then you have had a government bailout.
Muttly, I have called you out before on half truths, slanders and missinformation. If you ever want any credibility you really need to be honest.
But, I will give you the benefit of the doubt. You were likely stoned at the time you did your post.

Romney’s budget doesnt cut current spending levels. Even if Romney goes with the Paul Ryan plan(which cuts 5 trillion over the next ten years) we still have 25 to 26 trillion in debt (if interest rates dont move, which is not likely due to our debt load) at the end of the 10 years. Does anyone in their right mind think we can handle a 50+% increase in debt?

So you are saying that Bain didnt receive 44 million dollars for a pension bailout for the steel mill? Or are you saying they didnt get a FDIC 10 million dollar bailout? Or are you denying both? Because no matter how you spin it and no matter who reported it they are facts. I understand you dont like those.
Who funds federal agencies you moron?
When Bain bought the company they knew the shape of the company. They knew the problems. They knew they could fleece the government. Save your garbage for someone else. Honestly him taking legal money from the federal agencies is the least of the problems I have with Romney. He just used loop holes to turn a profit. I want someone who will close the loopholes and maybe someone not funded by the same big global banks as Obama.

Posted on July 13, 2012 at 3:36amMuttly, Dude, I love facts. It’s unsupported opinion and supposition that I find silly. Let me expound further:
I know the concept is a bit hard to understand, but when INSURANCE is CORPORATE funded, regular taxpayer $ is not used. Here, let me help you understand this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pension_Benefit_Guaranty_Corporation .
There are other examples: Flood insurance by FEMA–funded by premiums of those who buy flood insurance, FDIC–bank deposit insurance that is funded by premiums paid by BANKS–no taxpayer $ here as well. Another help for you:
http://www.fdic.gov/about/learn/symbol/
So, yes, Bain did get the $44m Pension fund INSURANCE payment and the $10m FDIC benefit as well. You do realize that FDIC means Federal Deposit INSURANCE Corporation, don’t you? Um, maybe you should look up what the term insurance means. It might help. Does it help that I gave you some links? Who is stupid and moronic now?
Hey, I applaud your tenacity and willingness to spend hours upon hours upon hours on the keyboard promoting an obama win, but really, you still need to get a better source than the huffpo for your anti-Romney rants. By the way, does the obama for re-election committee pay you by the hour or by the word–dude go for the word and you’ll be rich.

Posted on July 12, 2012 at 11:34pmBHO uses this tactic over and over. Fabricate some charge, false or not, and send out surrogates to spout out support. Just like Citizens United, BHO goes on about “we just don’t know. Money could come from… even foreign countries”. Even if they did know, they would send out their organizations to intimidate. Community organizing!

Posted on July 12, 2012 at 11:29pmThe Obama campaign is already becoming desperate and panic-stricken. Even as this race begins in earnest, they are clearly at a disadvantage due to Mr Obama’s clearly visible track record.
Now that the costs of Obamacare are expected to be north of two and a half trillion – TRILLION – over the next decade, it is clear that America cannot possibly afford it. To suggest otherwise is to demonstrate an alarming separation from reality, or a total ignorance of your country’s financial position.
Without this fiscally suicidal health plan, America has an excellent chance of returning to true prosperity, but to continue with it will see America standing beside Greece at the door of the international soup kitchen.
And that is all that the Obama campaign has to offer. That and a continuing escalation of these dishonest and vitriolic attacks.
So we are going to see a lot more of them.

Posted on July 13, 2012 at 2:30amNZKiwi: I have been warning people for some time now that Obama’s narcissism has turned into a evolving instability of his mental faculties. He is growing desperate, delusional, sociopathic and methodically more insane with each passing day.
Unfortunatly this also has the potential to make him completely unpredictable and all too capable of unleashing anything upon the American people. I have wondered for a couple of years now if he has been preparing a nation wide “economic scorched earth” to all but ensure the nations collapse upon his own electorial defeat.
Again, its only a theory, and a worse case one; yet it is realistic enough I can never put it behind him, given the support Soros has done for him, and the statement of Soros that “The United States needs to be brought down in a controlled crash.”
Whats your outlook on such a matter occuring?

Posted on July 13, 2012 at 4:03amI agree with you to a large extent, Snow. As you have pointed out, he indulged himself in some scurrilous political dealings to arrive at the senate, and the fact that he is so ardently supported by Mr Soros is bad, bad news for your country.
The strength of the political system in your country is that it rests on three separate poles (executive, legislative, and judicial. While Mr Obama has shown himself capable of cynical maneuvering to get around these constraints, they are still effective – as they were designed to be.
That said, I am as certain as you are that he will push things to the absolute limit.
This is going to be a very dirty campaign but I suspect that a sufficiently large proportion of Americans will see it for what it is and turn away from him.

They will say he when to a farm once after Bain bought the farm and the cows was not the same and some died after. What did he do to the cow, we will never know but he will need to answer the questions on that over what Romneycare 2.0 will look like.

Progressives like Felons…. (Just ask Van Jones)
Does this mean the progressives will unconsciously vote for Romney?
Nope! Obama is a bigger Felon and they know it… so he will get their votes. : )

Posted on July 12, 2012 at 11:34pmThe only problem in the theory is that Happy Days was successful and then the “Jump the Shark” episode. I have yet to see any logical explanation of Obama being a hit. He started out with a fanciful promo and the voters thought that was the show to follow. Most of us saw the train wreck that was happening.
I‘ll take Fonzi’s “Jump the Shark” over this disaster any day of the week.
